Clock Repair reviews in Noblesville

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • The hands kept falling off! I wonder if they were actually repaired in the first place. It took multiple visits at which time the qusi repairman (hardly a jeweler) announced, oh they fell off again. He was to order new hands and it took months of visits to be in the same condition as the watch was taken to him for repair. If he didn't want to fix it, why didn't he just say so! Poor service NEVER TO TETURN.

  • When we dropped the clock off, the owner's son told us that it would be 90-120 days for a cleaning and replacement of springs. At 90 days, I called to check on the clock and was told that they were behind in their repairs, and it would be closer to the 120 day mark. I called again at 120 days and was told that they had used the last of the springs needed for our clock and would have to order more. The owner's daughter-in-law assured me it would be ready in two weeks. My husband called after two weeks and was told the clock would be ready in another two weeks. We called again after that two weeks and were told that it would be another week. When they finally called to say the clock was ready, the owner told my husband that they did not have to replace the springs, that it just required cleaning and a little fine tuning. Why that would take over six months from our drop-off date is beyond me. The clock seems to be running great now, but I really felt like we got the run around, and they had our clock for an unnecessarily long time. I wish they would have just told us that they had more clock repairs than they could handle.

  • He was very fair. He made sure the clock was worth repairing. I was real impressed with him. Another clock repair company recommended him to us. He was very honest. I would use his service for other things.

  • He was excellent. He is an elderly gentleman. He does not do the job quickly, but he is great. He does not work on really small clocks. He will be charging $35 for fixing the clock, which I think is a reasonable price. The pendulum is missing and he is replacing it. He knows what he is doing with the clock. He has a reputation for knowing what he does. He is fair. He does the work at the estimated price. He is good at doing things even though he is an elderly gentleman. I do not think you should hold that against him. He is the only one who does the work. So, you have to wait. I will use his services again in the future.

  • The owner's excuse for this unforgivable delay is that he is the only person to do the repairs and he works as quickly as possible. Given the fact that Angie's List lists numerous clock repair buinesses in the area, he could have sought to job the repair out. Or at least tried to do so. If he had tried and failed, I could be more understanding. There is no excuse for taking ten months to repair a clock and to adopt the attitude that it was out of his control. I recommend that unless your real intention is to banish your clock for a year, you should avoid the Noblesville Clock Company.

  • We have called repeatedly for our repaired clock and they keep telling us that the works have to come from Germany. They told us months ago that the parts had been ordered but their response sense then has been the same... that they're still waiting. I called him a month or so ago (early Feb 2010) and we threatened to call an attorney. We haven't done that but did feel reporting him here at the very least was necessary. We're hoping Angie's List can help us resolve this issue. The company's last response to us was it would be ready in 2 weeks... that was now more than 2 weeks ago. This has become quite stressful and agrivating to say the least. We've experienced ignored responses by phone when we've attempted other calls to him as well. We've not given him any payment on the grandfather clock as of yet, but when we at one point were frustrated we told him to just bring back the old parts and forget it.. the company wanted $300 just to bring back the unworking insides.

  • It was only $20. I was amazed. He was also able to repair my wall clock, the main problem being that the pendulum would not swing back and forth, without replacing any of the inner workings of the clock. He told me the cost would be $20, I couldn't believe it so I paid him $25 and thanked him. He did a fine job and he deserves the highest possible rating.

  • When I initially called and told Mr. Moore about the clock on a Friday, telling him my story about the clock having been ordered during a trip to Germany months before, only to have the order get lost in the manufacturer's system, he offered to come out on Sunday, even though he didn't normally work Sunday. I thanked him, but told him that wasn't necessary, and we settled on Monday. He came exactly when he said he would, removed his shoes without my even having to ask, and went right to work. He was pleasant, friendly, hard-working, and knowledgeable, and told me a lot of "do's" and "don'ts" about cuckoo clocks while he worked and after he had finished. I was so favorably impressed that I gave him two clocks I've had for some time to take and repair (these will be the subject of a future evaluation). I can't say enough good about the gentleman, and am so glad I found him through Angie's List.

  • He was courteous, timely and knowledgeable. The cost was less than what we thought it would be. Would use them again.
