"I had given up on having a satisfactory lawn.
has a five step program, that is, five applications at $50 per application. Close to the" end of my first year using their service, my lawn is healthier, thicker, more satisfactory than I ever expected. Their representative informed me in detail about their work on my lawn, did the work when they said it would be done. They deserve an A+ for every for every question.

"I hired Green to handle fertilization and weed control services during 2014, and they provided professional and prompt service as expected. Their customer service" was great, and whenever I had a question about the lawn care - for example wanting to put down some seed but not wanting to have it killed off by a weed control application - I would get a prompt response and at times a modification to my schedule to meet my needs. I would absolutely recommend Green. The only reason we did not use them for 2015 is we are renting our property and we no longer wanted to be out of pocket for lawn maintenance that really should be covered by the landlord.

How to Get Rid of Springtails

One of the most effective ways to control springtails is to dry out the infested area. Springtails require a high-moisture environment to breed and thrive, living mostly off of algaes that grow in moist conditions. They will either leave the infested area or die out. If there is an infestation that cannot be controlled by drying out the infested area, use an appropriately labeled insecticide with a residual time These will typically be a liquid concentrate form, a wet-able powder form, or a dust product.  DO NOT APPLY UNTIL AREAS ARE DRY.  If area will not dry naturally, use Corn Starch to soak-up any lingering moisture and otherwise 'steer' any rain water or irrigation away from area.

Also, if there is a noticed springtail infestation around the perimeter of the structure, use the insecticide to do a barrier treatment and apply corn starch to reduce or eliminate moisture. Caulk and seal all cracks and crevices and inspect potted plants before they are brought into the house.

I would talk to your local lawn and garden supply store (or mill and feed) - NOT a box store or hardware store. There are also selective grass control chemicals. YOu can research this by Googling using search string      "Tall Fescue Control" - there are lots of articles by the USDA and individual state cooperative extension services.

There is a treatment called chlorsulfuron TFC (Tall Fescue Control) that will do this - it worked for me in western New York, but took 3 years to finish out all the tall fescue. It may now be limited to use by commercial applicators - pretty potent stuff. Can yellow bluegrass or make it phytosensitive, but our looked OK during treatment because the TFC was applied in the fall for best results, and our lawn was dormant till spring anyway.

Tall fescue can also be controlled by real short mowing, but only in areas where the bluegrass is dominant and really thrives so will eventually crowd out the trimmed fescue, but you may be too far north for that.

Since June there have been numerous calls to
New Haven Lawn Treatment Services Provider Name Locked
to rectify the issue by re-sodding the damaged part, A manager came out in early

and I was told this would be done. I waited a month and nothing happened. Calls to the main office are handled by very nice people who try to

down customer frustration but the local office does not return phone calls. Even calls made where the manager is on the phone and will return the call in a few minutes take several more calls to the main office before someone locally responds. About 2 weeks ago I finally got to speak to the manager who came out in
New Haven Lawn Treatment Services Provider Name Locked
and he assured me this would be done right away and apologized for not following up. Within an hour I got a call from the subcontractor who asked what kind of grass I have so he could order. A week went by and when I called (again) the polite customer service lady at the main office read the notes on the account and apparently a decision was made not to re-sod but no one called to tell me. With the time invested in making this company follow through on promises made, I could have done my own lawnwork and saved a lot of money and aggravation.

After installing a sprinkler system and new sod I decided to contract a reputable service to fertilize. I've been using

for a couple of years. The lawn has done well with their treatments. However, last year, 2014, I noticed "skid

is outstanding!!
New Haven Lawn Treatment Services Provider Name Locked
is my service provider and he is timely, knowledgeable, and professional. I like that I have the same provider every time -- he really knows my lawn. The treatments have halted the brown patch fungus and kept out the weeds all summer. Highly recommended.

They were fine. They did what they were supposed to do. I have a long term agreement with them. They do a reasonably good job. They are in and out without any issues. They do put a little flags on the lawn to alert you for animals and children on the day they apply the stuff.

Didn't schedule a time, had someone come out and apparently spray the 2 square feet around the tree in front of our South Philadelphia row home, when I emailed to schedule a time I was told that they had completed treatment.
When I said that's not possible because I had bought the service for out back yard ... which is a little South Philadelphia concrete yard with a bizarrely large mosquito population... and I hadn't spoken or corresponded with anyone about when they could come out, I was told that their employees were not able to walk through someone's home to access the back yard, and I'd have to get a refund from Angie's List. Nothing at all mentioning specifics of access to a homeowner's yard was mentioned in the deal offered.

A week after the service, my lawn was getting yellow spots, like the leave or roots were burned. I called the service and ask them to come by and take a look.
New Haven Lawn Treatment Services Provider Name Locked
looked at my lawn around 6/18/15, and called me. He reported he saw signs of at least two lawn diseases;
leaf spot disease
red thread disease
He couldn't be for sure, but he thought there might be some other stuff going on there. He did suggest I take advantage of their lawn aeration service. He said he also noticed I had bent grass - polla annua growing in my lawn. I asked him why did he think it showed up right after his treatment, and did he think it had anything to do with it. He said there could be several factors as to why it happened at just that time, and all were circumstantial. In no way could any treatment they did have anything to do with it. OK. I thanked him and concluded the coversation.
I Googled the above lawn diseases, and reviewed the images. There are hundreds of images showing these diseases presenting in slightly different appearance. None of these were a close match to my lawn. I took pictures of my lawn, but at the moment I am not taking the time to locate them. I also looked up "polla anua". Apparently it is a strain of grass used in some golf courses. I am not sure why this came up in a discussion about my lawn problems.
I called the company back on 6/22/15 and cancelled my service. They asked why, and I told them that I cannot do business with a company I don't trust. I explained (see above), and the phone associate was about to offer another disease possibility, but I thanked her and ended the conversation.
About three to four weeks later the yellow went away in my front lawn. In my back yard, there were some spots that actually died off. There is a different (shady) seed that is in these areas. That are starting to come back. I have not had a lawn service all summer, save for
New Haven Lawn Treatment Services Provider Name Locked
, and have not applied any treatments myself. This is more due to procrastination, but it works out pretty nice for this narrative.
I can put up with a lot of things from suppliers, but lying is not one that I tolerate.

I am a little bit disappointed as the soil sample was done and billed for but I have not received a result of the testing. Hopefully I will have the results soon of the bad area of the lawn that we have had no luck with turf growth. The initial fertilizer, fungus, and insecticide treatment had significant positive results already.
