Water And Smoke Damage reviews in Mooresville

What I didn't like about them was that they were very, very slow. It seemed like we had to pester them about a lot of stuff. From the beginning, we didn't get the estimate and they told us we were supposed to get it ahead of time, and we didn't get it. We waited and waited so my husband had to call and ask where it was. It kind of started out bad. We liked their estimate the best and we liked the things that they were going to do so that was why we ended up going with them. It was like we were put on the back burner and it took 6 months to get it done. We had even gone on vacation twice and we thought that while we were on vacation, that would be the best time for them to come in and do the work quickly instead of dragging it out like they did. It was like their people went to different places and if there were a couple of extra hours, they would come out and do something so it was a long, long process that way. It would have been so much better if they worked in a week instead of 6 months. They did good work but I don't know that I would really actually recommend them. I don't want to spend much time going through that. They did a good job. There were some stuff that we made comments about and we weren't happy with, and they did come in and fixed all these things so I'm glad about that. I thought they gave us a good price for all that was done compared to some of the other quotes that we finally got from other people. I liked the contractor. I thought he had a nice personality. When the guys did something and we thought it was kind of sloppy, he agreed and he was like one of those perfectionist people. When we complained, he understood. He didn't look at us like we were picky. I liked that about them. I just wish it didn't take them so long to do it. They came out one day for 3 hours and then not see him again for 2 weeks. I think that if they don't have the time to do something, then they should just tell the people that they love to get the job but they've got a lot of iron from the fire right now so it's going to take a while. They just have to come out and say how they plan on doing things instead of doing what they did. Maybe it was our fault. We should have asked specifically how long it's going to take. I never realized that anybody would ever do something like that. I just figured that when we had work done before by companies, they did it in a whole week or week and a half, whatever they said it's going to take they come everyday until it's done. They don't come and do a little bit at a time and not see them for 2 weeks. If they are going to do that, then they should tell the client upfront so that we don't assume it's going to be different. Their responsiveness wasn't very good.

We went with somebody else. I kind of liked it because the guy just seemed like a nice guy actually. He ended up being someone from our church. He came back fast with the estimate. We have a hard time getting people to do that so that was kind of impressive compared to people that they would just want to go with the insurance's estimate, and I didn't want them to just do that. I wanted them to come up with their own. I thought that was more clear and more honest. He seemed alright. I think he showed up when I wasn't expecting him to show up.

They dried the complete lower level of the house out after the flooding. That's really all they did was extracting the water. I think that they did a good job. I think they charged for things that  they didn't do. They charged for fans that weren't there, that weren't on. No one was there a couple of times to see if the equipment was running and yet they charged the insurance company as if it was. When we would come in there were lots of fans that weren't working at all. I wish they would have followed up with it more. The 2 things that were my complaints were charging for things that weren't there and knowing that it wasn't running no one came out to look at it. You can't charge people for something that's not really happening.

Work began on the scheduled day and time per contract.  I was also impressed how the job was completed in a professional and timely manner. A company representative made a follow-up visit to visually inspect the work and I assured him that I was a very satisfied customer. I would definitely recommend this company.

I really enjoyed working with Restorex. They were always there on time, they went above and beyond my expectations. Everything was done the right way and I never recieved a bill they worked with the insurance and took care of everything. I was suprised with all the different crew I thought there would be problems but they managed everything perfect and all the workers were very professional and willing to help with anything we needed. I would definatly use Restorex again. Call Brian Granger. Great Job RESTOREX.

Triple Play immediately came out to my house within 30 minutes of notification. The team Brad and Mike were great respectful, professional employees. They started right away with moving the necessary items out of the affected areas. They also had their equipment in there cleaning up the water and drying the area. They came back and kept in constant contact with me throughout the drying process (it took a few days due to the size of the area) as well as ensuring that the job was completed to time, standard, and quality. They did an excellent job. I have and will continue to refer them to other people for future jobs. They are one contractor that I have had do work on my house and did the work correctly.

I contacted my insurance company.  Within 10 minutes of completing my claim information, I received a phone call from Hays and sons regarding my claim.  They immediately sent out a contractor to do an emergency patch job on my roof to prevent further damage and leaking.  The representative (Joe Dillon) that came out to my house for the initial inspection had great communication skills as well as professional appearance, attitude, and met me when I was available.  The representative did a great job and provided me with all of the information that I needed to contact him and Hays and Sons.  The office of Hays and sons did a great job sending me the proper documentation, communicating with me throughout the process.  The original project manager (Chad Schmepf, now released from the company) not once meet with me face to face, told me when contractors were coming out to my property, and other numerous issues that I did make Hays and sons aware of.  Hays and sons immediately had a new project manager (Sean Mattingly) take over.  Sean was a really good, professional, representative for the company.  He did an excellent job meeting with me, communicating with me any issues along the way, and ensuring that I was well taken care of  at all times.  Sean ensured that my project was completed in a good timely manner and it was.  The outcome exceeded my expectations.  I have and will continue to recommend Hays and Sons for future projects.

Kevin Jones came out the day I contacted them and evaluated the situation.  He had the drying fans with him.  He was very helpful and professional.  I appreciated his promptness and friendly manner.

The workmanship and professionalism is excellent. The project has taken longer to complete than I would have preferred due to staffing changes and communication slips, but overall, I am very satisfied.
