Very badly. Agreed to complete work in 5 days. By end of day 2, both Paul Wells & Shawna Wells (owners) had spent only 3.5 hours in our home. Brought paint they had used in a previous painting job in Bloomington IN. It was not the paint agreed to in our contract. Had not even started to prepare deck for staining. Interior walls preparation was sloppy, smearing caulking on part of wall that did not need repaired. They were fired at end of day 2. I agreed to pay for 2 days of the agreed 5 days work. Paul & Shawna refused to return balance of down payment. They do not follow their own contract! Very poor business practice. So off to small claims court we go! Morgan County/Martinsville IN. FYI-I am the second person in Morgan County this year (2018) taking them to small claims court. Claims to be Christian, a military veteran & law enforcement officer. I recommend checking with Morgantown IN officials to see how the law enforcement career went....certainly not acting very Christian. Paul always had an excuse when questioned...Mr & Mrs Wells are well known in the Martinsville area and not necessary in a good way. I took a chance with this company/people even though I just had a bad feeling. Should have paid attention to my bad feeling. I would be happy to provide any additional information is contacted...

    JCR Renovation and Design
JCR Renovation did great work on my shower tile job and worked closely with me to ensure that I got the look that I was going for. The project was completed in a timely manner and was completed within the agreed budget. The team at JCR was very professional and had a great deal of knowledge when it came to doing tile showers and attention to detail.

It was awesome. ?They were very professional and on time. ?If they needed to do something differently they explained to me why my way would not work and how their way would work. ?I had family over the weekend and they were absolutely amazed at how beautiful it looks. ?They did an awesome job cleaning up. ?Their was absolutely no dust. ?They wiped down anything that had dust and used tarps to control the dust. ?I would defenitely use them again.

Rodney was very thorough....cleaned up at the end of each day and didn't leave any kind of mess for us to clean up.  I wanted to make a few changes along the way and Rodney saw to it that the changes were made.

We originally planned to use a well-known home improvement chain to do our remodel. We spent considerable time working with them but what they wanted and what we wanted were completely out of sink. They wanted to use a cabinet company different than our preference, they did not carry Cambria which we wanted, they wanted us to go with diiferent color appliances than we wanted,
they didn't carry the flooring type that we wanted, they couldn't get the type of light fixtures that we wanted. We felt like we needed to
settle for what they had available or what they pushed for as their preferred product. We had waited 40 years to finally get our dream kitchen and were getting very frustrated because they tried to talk us out of everything that we wanted. We decided to stop in the
Distinctive showroom just to look around. From the first visit, we saw the perfect cabinets on display and talked to Allison as to what they had to offer. Distinctive was exactly what we were looking for. They had everything available that we wanted including custom made cabinets (better made than the other store), Cambria countertops, and an excellent selection of lighting options. Everything that we wanted fell right into place and Allison was so supportive and easy to work with. All of the contractors from demolition to finish were excellent. Our new custom cabinets are beautiful and very well-made and less expensive than the lesser quality from the other company would have been. We could not have had a better experience than we did with that project and we do now have the "kitchen of our dreams".

The representative was punctual and polite for the estimate appointment.  I received my estimate via email just a couple of days later.  My only complaint is he didn't have any good pictures of previous work to show me and the selection of fiberglass tub and shower walls were very limited. Ultimately this was the reason I went with another company.

I started a DIY remodel of a guest bath and needed help with the bathtub plumbing (Copper pipe soldering, Valve installation, and drain install). I had actually reached a point where I was afraid I had gotten in over my head. However, Steve provided a free consultation and coached me through the job with a few weeks of ongoing support. I would share pictures of the progress and he would provide guidance over the phone or via text message (and he would respond within seconds or minutes). VERY flexible! He also provided me with some supplies to get the job done. Great guy. Very knowledgeable and friendly. When I do my next job, I will definitely use him for the parts of the project I am uncomfortable with. Highly recommended. Thanks, Steve!

Great! This is the second bathroom Steve has remodeled for us. He was very helpful with the design phase and the selection of materials.
Steve first gutted the old bathroom by removing a small closet, the old shower stall, a small vanity and the toilet. After removing most of the drywall Steve removed the north bathroom wall and built a new wall increasing the size of the bathroom. Steve then strengthened and leveled the bathroom floor. He then built a new 8 ft long tiled walk-in shower with overhead lighting.

Steve then tiled a new bathroom floor, and installed a new vanity and toilet. He then installed a large mirror over the vanity and a new light fixture above the mirror.
The next job was the new walk-in closet. Steve had previously removed a useless whirlpool tub which allowed for a much larger closet area. After removing the old closet framing, Steve framed and installed a new closet door. He then installed all new drywall, a new hardwood floor, and a new light fixture.

There was one other job Steve completed while working in/above the bathroom. I purchased a double-bulb outdoor security light several years ago and never installed it because of the 20 foot height and electrical wiring. Steve installed the new outdoor security light with indoor on/off switch and this saved me from having to call an electrician.
My wife and I are very pleased with the work Steve has completed. He follows a daily schedule where he works hard every day, and will sometimes bring an assistant if needed. He cleans up the work area every night before he leaves, and hauls away all trash and debris for disposal.

We have one more bathroom and a kitchen that need some work and I'm sure we will be calling Steve when the time comes.
Without a doubt, Steve has been the most knowledgeable and quot;home improvement specialistand quot; we have ever found on Angie's List or anywhere else. I've never seen any one person with a larger skill set than what Steve has!

The total job was done very well. They were very thorough and went the extra distance to see that we were happy and satisfied with their work. Their employees were courteous and friendly, and we enjoyed having them in our home. I have- and I would again- recommend them to others.  In fact this job was divided into two parts with a month separating them.   The bath remodel was started 3-11-13 and finished 4-2-13.  The entry door installation and re-roofing didn't begin until 5-6-13 and finished 5-8-13.  Again, both jobs were done very well.

We have already purchased a lot of stuff so they are doing allowances. The quote was originally $24,000 but it will be less than that. They were prompt and they paid attention to detail. They have communicated through emails and phone calls. She sent designs to us via email for us to approve. We've been dealing with her since October. They also sell carpeting and tile. They are trying to be a full service company but they are not there yet. Some of their stuff worked for us and some of it didn't. Some we found cheaper elsewhere. They were okay with that. We like their ability to work with us. We contacted at least a dozen companies. Their prices are fair.  They have offered suggestions and their designer has been very good.
