  • Very well. Because of being busy had to wait awhile, but this I expected. Would like not to let the "World" know about him as I would like to keep him hidden so when I need him, he would be available. Work ethic, cleanup, appearance, explanations are all excellent

  • Apke Carpet Care did a very good job for the price. The technician was a little late; however, he apologized and explained the traffic was bad on the I-275 bridge. Other than that, he was very friendly and respectful. He covered his shoes upon my request and did a very thorough cleaning of my carpets. I would recommend this company to others.

  • Cody was great - very responsive and costs were very reasonable.  I am already making  a list of things for him to do the next time he comes by.  I highly recommend his services.

  • Cody did it all.  He had great suggestions up front for design to save money and trouble, and as we went along through the project he communicated very well to let me understand options that could either save cost, improve functionality or quality, or both.  One such suggestion was to go with a smaller door to the toiler room to enable a larger shower space.  Cody is very customer satisfaction oriented and I believe in his sense of fairness, responsibility, and ethics.  There was an issue that came up with the grout that had a discoloration.   This caused a long delay while we researched options.  Cody could have walked away but did not.  He stayed with the job until he could find a solution that worked very well to correct the problem, and in doing so he made several trips and spent hours of work on his own time to make it right.  Cody has a broad set of skills and knowledge..

  • The floors are beautiful! The floors started out very dull with some scratches and we wanted them to look new without going through the entire refinishing process AND we wanted it done DUSTLESS. I called one company and was quoted a price too much for my budget, so my next call was to the Floor Doctor. Scott answered and told me right away about all of my options and the approximate cost of each: deep cleaning; buffing, cleaning and re-coating; and a full on refinishing. He wanted to look at my floors first to make sure I was getting the service that was right for my particular situation and he came out the NEXT DAY! He told me that the floors did not need to be completely refinished and that they were in good enough shape to do the buff, clean and re-coat, which is a much more inexpensive option. Scott even made sure to tell me of the limitations of the process and that it would not completely remove every flaw, but that the floors would look amazing. I appreciated his honesty and his not trying to sell me something I did not need. He also recommended a satin finish which is not as shiny and looks fantastic. He even wrote up a quote on the spot which was incredibly reasonable. We needed it done right away because we need to move in and he said he would start at 8am the following Monday, which was only a few days away. He and his team were there when I arrived to let them in and he went over the process with me again and explained everything in detail. Our entire space is hardwood, so it took 2 days, and when we went to inspect (which Scott insisted on) my husband and I were thrilled!!! The floors were gorgeous! They look brand new and the satin finish is so much better for us than the really shiny finish. They still have shine, but in a more subtle way and almost every flaw is gone. We have a few really deep scratches from a previous owner, but even those are MUCH less noticeable and can only be removed with a complete refinish. There is no dust to clean up and there is no strong chemical odor (they use a low VOC product, which was also important to us.) We are so happy with the work that Scott and his team did and will definitely use them again if we have the need. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Floor Doctor!!!!! Thank you!!!

  • I chose Cawood based on Angie's list rating and Gary Sullivan's radio show. I also spoke with a few DIY guys and decided to use a professional installer for the 800sqft job. Jeff Cawood drove the 40 miles to Indiana for an evening appointment. We reviewed many samples and he covers several brands. We had already decided upon laminate, so we just needed to see the color and warranty choices etc. I had some questions and he got quick answers for me from the factory rep. He was forthcoming about available coupons etc($300). I had researched internet pricing for the same product and when the price quote email came, I was pleased. They seem to keep the installers busy and give a fair price because they are an established company. During the weeks before install I probably got 2-3 emails or calls from Jeff Cawood per week. They were patient regarding the start date and offered advice on site preparation. They are not pushy at all. The installer was about an hour late on the first day. He called me during his delay and later explained his van trouble. After watching the installers work for a couple hours, I knew I'd made a good choice. The main installer had 30 years experience and had his son working with him. They were not sub-contractors. They completed the job in about 20 hours. Lack of this trade ability & tools could mean 60-80 hours for most DIY people. I had enough long hours doing the site prep after my day job. I feel we had a good experience with a fair priced, proactive, skilled company.

  • Home Furniture has installed carpet and flooring for me. They ve done repairs to carpet and flooring for me. When Home Furniture installs carpet or flooring they also remove the old carpet or flooring. Home Furniture works with my schedule. I told Joe, the guy that runs that division of Home Furniture, I was going to put Home Furniture on Angie s List, because we have always been so happy with them. There have been several times we ve tried going to other places, but we just keep coming back to Home Furniture. In the area that I live, Home Furniture stays busy and they don t even advertise. They don t need to.

  • We received a quick response and quote after contacting Classy Craftsmen. After accepting the quote they started the job as scheduled and worked around my husband's and my work schedules. The subcontractor hired to do the tile work did an excellent job. The work was completed in a timely manner, something very important when remodeling kitchens and bathrooms-two rooms it's difficult to live without. We were very pleased with our overall experience with Classy Craftsmen and would definitely use their services again should the need arise.
