Steve Jones has been tuning my piano for  about 20 years. He has more than 40 years of experience.  He does an excellent job--my piano always sounds wonderful, when he is finished.
I am a very curious person, and I always ask lots of questions. Steve is very patient, and a good teacher, and he will explain every step he does, and every adjustment needed.
Steve is a very friendly guy, with a good sense of humor, and an easy, relaxed demeanor.  It is as nice to talk with him, as it is to watch him tune.
Being a Piano Technician, Steve can do more than tune pianos. He can tell, and explain/demonstrate, when my piano needs more than just tuned.  If a hammer needs tweaked, or a string is slightly out of place, he can identify the problem, and fix it on-site, while he is tuning.  He can also handle more in-depth work at his work shop, though I have been fortunate not to have had any major issues with my piano.

    Sears - Kokomo

Sears calls the delivery and installation free- this should have been my first clue of how well this experience was going to go (you really do get what you pay for). The night before delivery we received an automated phone call telling us the window of time to be at home so the delivery can occur. That morning the delivery guy (the only silver lining to this whole fiasco was the delivery guys were really nice) called to confirm we would be home. Later that day, the window of delivery time came and went. The truck arrived approximately 1 hour later than the scheduled window of time. Really nice, clean, respectful delivery guys removed our old washer and dryer and put them exactly where I indicated in our driveway. They unpacked the new washer and dryer (being careful not to tear up the boxes- they gave those to my thrilled toddlers!). So far delivery is going well except being a little behind schedule.

And then- the cord attached to the dryer would not reach the plug in the wall. This concern had been brought up at the store- these units were purchased because they are stackable, but the plug is very near the floor. We were assured this would not be a problem because the delivery truck carries different lengths of cord for these situations. We were informed the delivery could not be completed because there were no other cords in the truck. The delivery guys asked us to sign a document stating the delivery could not be completed and we, the homeowners, would complete the install. The delivery guys explained they were running behind and the install could go no further at that time. They suggested we could obtain an appropriate length cord (they even went so far as to try and show me how to take off the back of the dryer and indicated where the new cords would need attached!!!) or we could have an electrician come out and move the location of the wall outlet. This is not at all what we had been told at the store so we called customer service. We were told to go to the local Sears and they would give us the appropriate length of cord and the install would be completed once we had the cord and called in to reschedule the install. I asked to go ahead and have the install scheduled and I would go to Sears that night to get the cord. Delivery guys left.

I called Sears to confirm they had the part and was informed they do not carry the length we needed. I called customer service- I was told our local Kmart had the part. I called Kmart- no they did not carry the part. I called customer service- they could send us that part but it would be after the weekend before the part would arrive and that would be after the scheduled install. Install would have to be rescheduled. We called a local electrician who ordered the cord for us overnight.

The night before the scheduled install we did not get the automated phone call telling us the window of time the installation was to occur. At 10pm we called customer service. They did not have us listed for an installation the next day- would we like to schedule an installation for the next week? No. Our electrician completed the install.

We have worked with Mr. Dishon for so many years that I feel comfortable leaving a key for him to just let himself in. I don't worry about unnecessary work being done.  If he says it needs to be fixed, it does.  If he thinks the cost to fix is too high, he will tell me that also.

We thought we were going to have to replace our dishwasher and when the service man got there, he was able to do something pretty simple to fix the appliance and told me that I really didn't need to get a new one at this time. I figured someone else who wasn't honest would have been able to sell me a new dishwasher and he did not take advantage me that way. He was on time, called before he came to make sure he had the right directions, was clean, friendly but professional and did his job quickly. I will def use this service again if I need one!

When I walked into the store I was approached by an employee and asked if I need help. I said no I was just browsing and would call on the person when I did need the help. The employee left me alone. He/she did not dog me through the store.

I purchased a used clothes dryer from Jarrett Appliance and was not pleased with the performance of the dryer. Cory checked it out found nothing wrong with the appliance. However, I was still not pleased with it's performance so Cory gave me a full refund.

The owner of this establishment is quite possibly the most rude and unprofessional person I have ever met. I do not understand why, 1) This place is still in business 2) Why anyone would patronize this businessMy husband and I have recently moved to the Carmel area. We have some very high end, beautiful furniture that we were unable to use in our new home so I decided to go to Consigning Woman to see how their policy worked and hopefully be able to make someone else happy as well as being able to move it out of our garage. My 2 daughters, son-in-law and myself went in to the store at around 6:50pm, hoping to be able to either pick up information on their policy or to briefly speak to someone about it. I realized it was close to closing time (7pm) and was only planning on a few seconds of their time. The owner was sitting at the check out counter, checking out a customer. We patiently waited. She looked up over her glasses and said, "What do you want?" I explained that we had just moved to town and ...she interrupted and said, "Do you need a furniture quote?" I told her that I did but that I wondered how her store policy worked. She told me that she was the only one that could give us a quote and that she was "obviously" busy. My son-in-law brought up the picture of one of the items on is phone and started to show it to her. WOW! Was that a mistake! She said, "Look, I am the only one that can do this and we close at 7:00 (pointing rudely at her watch). I told her I would be happy to come back tomorrow but I just needed to know if I could even use her services. She looked at us and said, "We are closing and I AM NOT HAPPY!!" I assured her that I would never inconvenience her again and furthermore, I would take my business elsewhere! My whole family (including our 10 yr old daughter) walked next door to Arnie's in amazement. We seriously couldn't believe what we had just encountered!! The sad part is that she also had some pieces of furniture in there that I would have loved to purchase for our new home. Unfortunately, I wouldn't walk back in that store if she offered to give me every item in there! I am sure that there is an empty building somewhere close to there. Running a business such as this doesn't take a rocket scientist. Perhaps a new booming business for the Carmel area would be "Consigning Women Without the Attitude!" What a horrible "welcome" to the Carmel Community.

I purchased a large capacity washer and dryer from Lowe's on Sunday, 8/31/2008. The transaction went smoothly and I arranged delivery for Wednesday, the 3rd of September. On Wednesday, I made a phone call to Lowe's to confirm delivery of the washer and dryer because my significant other was going to be at the location waiting on them for most of the day. I spoke with the delivery supervisor and he said that they had the delivery scheduled for Tuesday the 2nd of September. I informed him that that information was wrong and it was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday. I also informed him that neither one of us had received a telephone call from the delivery people saying that they were at the apartment and no one was there. He said they should have tried to call, but obviously they didn't. If they would have called, we could have met them there immediately to accept delivery. However, the supervisor informed me he could have it delivered the same day (Wednesday) because of the trouble. I was surprised at that, so I told him that would be fine. The delivery workers came with the washer and dryer and installed it while my significant other was there. Everything seemed to go smoothly. However, I stopped by the new apartment today (Thursday) to see the new washer and dryer (we have not moved in yet, so no-one is at the property). I discovered that the basement where the washer and dryer is had a steady stream of water flowing to the drain in the middle of the floor. I shut off the water and discovered that there was no gasket inside of the hose that was attached to the washing machine, thus, making the spicket leak where they attached the hose to the washer. I wasn't upset about this, because gaskets are inexpensive and it was an honest mistake and may not have been leaking at the time they installed it. I also noticed that they had used the used dryer vent piping that was left by the previous tenants and it had been literally duct-taped to the hole in the window where the exhaust heat is vented. This is totally unacceptable and should have been installed professionally. I spoke with someone at Lowe's and he assured me that it would not have been installed that way, however, I was standing there looking at the duct tape and the water in my basement. I do not want them to come out and fix it and I explained that to them. I will fix it myself and save myself the grief of having them come back out.
