    Adams Auto Service
Did not go well. I bought the car and within a couple weeks the rear power window was not working correctly. I went back to them thinking they would take care of it, but since it was a used "as is" vehicle the repair was on me. I was told the motor and regulator needed replaced. I questioned that the motor was bad since the window would still move when the switch was engaged but was told that it all was "messed up" and was given a price to replace it. Wasn't happy with such a big expense but was assured at least 2 times that they could take care of it. I agreed and the parts were ordered. I was called to be told the car was done but that there was a problem. According to them there was a special tool needed that they didn't have and the window was not on track and wouldn't close all the way. I was told it was no big deal unless it rained or I took it though a car wash. I was not pleased by this and told them that I was assured they could do this and if they knew they needed a special tool to do the work, they should have never told me they could do it. I called a place that deals with these cars (MiniCoop) that is about 60 miles away. I was told there was not special tool necessary and that worst case, they would have to redo the work and that might cost and additional $300 (the bill at the first place was almost 800). I told the service manager at Adam's that I felt the work wasn't complete and I was willing to take it to the other dealer, pay them to finish the work, and then they could deduct that from the bill I had there. I also offered that they could take the car to this other dealer and pay them and then I would pay the total of their bill. I was told that they were willing to keep the car until Monday (I was there on Friday) and that they would have their body shop guy look at it and see if he could get it fixed but there was no guarantee that he could do any better. I didn't feel that was acceptable and after several discussions with the general manager who was supposedly talking to the owner, they took $100 off the bill. On the way home, the window got stuck half way up and I had to jimmy it around to finally get it closed. I now have to take the car to the second dealer and make arrangements to keep from having to wait there with the knowledge it might cost me an additional $300 in labor to fix the problem barring that they installed the correct parts. This could amount to more if they have to replace parts. I feel they should have never told me they could do the repair in the first place and would do what they could to make certain it was repaired correctly before expecting me to pay the bill.

They had a fair price but it is the price for the part. I have a Mercedes C300 and parts for that car cost a fortune. They are a pretty good place. My experience overall with them is very very good. They seem to be honest. They are very prompt. They try to work you in their schedule. They are pretty good and they have a fair price.

    Sims Auto Outlet
When we bought the Jeep, it had a cracked windshield, which they said they would replace. We scheduled an appointment to replace the windshield, and they had their subcontractor replace it. When we got it back, it looked okay- until it rained. The windshield leaks across the top. Also, they installed the rubber interior trim upside-down, so when it sits in direct sunlight, the trim constantly comes loose and hangs down in front of the driver's view. Also, the exterior rubber was done wrong- it keeps popping out at the corners. And on top of that- the wiper motor didn't work. My wife took the Jeep back, and they said they'd replace the wiper motor IF WE'D PAY HALF. She told them she would and they fixed it, but I'll be darned if they ever see our half of the money. The Jeep has daytime running lights, but the module is just unplugged because the headlights don't work if you plug them in. The jeep also had one headlight dead when we got it.  After one week of ownership, it started spraying antifreeze all over the engine compartment- the radiator was leaking. They replaced the radiator. THEN, it left my wife stranded at night in the city- it just SHUT OFF. I towed it home, and we called Sims in the morning. A few days later, they picked the Jeep up. When we got it back, they told us there was an aftermarket alarm that killed the power, so they removed it. The Jeep DID run at this point, but when they reassembled the dash, they broke the tabs on the radio surround- I had to get another one from the junk yard. They also just backyard-spiced wires back together where they removed the alarm. The turn signals no longer functioned right and wires constantly short out. IT NEEDS A NEW DASH HARNESS. Of course by now, Sims doesn't want anything to do with the pile of crap they sold us. AND IT DOESN'T END THERE. It started running real rough and quit again. I found that the catalytic converter was near plugged, and it wasn't even tight to the exhaust- meaning someone had it apart before. The EVAP system was doctored up to make it run somewhat normal. I'm STILL gathering all the stuff to fix it. Also of note- the painted drywall mud (or whatever they used) to hide the frame rot has all fallen off now- we can see how rotten this frame is. WHAT IT BOILS DOWN TO IS THIS- we will have had this Jeep for a year this March. We have been able to drive it exactly 3 months out of that year- while making payments and full coverage insurance on it. They DID NOT inspect this vehicle before sale- in fact, they PURPOSEFULLY HID it's flaws. After a handful of repairs, they decided that they had their money, so screw us.  I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO MY WORST ENEMY.

    Mike's Express Carwash
They renamed it Crew Carwash. Normally its just the outside, If you want to do the inside, they have a separate thing where you can pull up and pay for the vacuum for a time. Then you can detail it yourself on the inside. On the outside, they normally have different packages. I have the mid package. Its not a regular carwash but I have the "your choice" and I can select either four options. I normally do clear coat and tire shine. They have under body, another tire package and something else I don't remember. They have the works which does all those and the works plus which does all of those plus extra tire shine and something else.

    Billy's Auto Repair
He's excellent and he's very reasonable. There's no cheating on anything. He's an older guy. He's very honest and explains every single thing to you. He tells you everything he's doing, where he gets the parts and exactly what they cost and what he charges for them. Right up front, before he does anything, he'll call you and tell you what's going on. He's done a lot of work for us. We've used him on three vehicles.

Overall, I brought my car in for standard maintenance and ended up with a blown engine because Burnett’s put the wrong oil in my car three times. Furthermore, Burnett’s is not taking responsibility to replace the engine they blew.  Instead, they said if said if I bring them a new engine they will install it for free.  So I’m left with a car that no longer works. Burnett’s also has never given me a receipt or bill for any of the work they have completed.  The owner refuses to make things right with me and it appears they are just pretending nothing happened.  The next day after I picked up my car from Burnett's the oil light came on and the car started shaking shortly after.  I drove the car directly back to Burnett’s and they eventually told me they put the incorrect standard oil in my Volkswagon.  They then tried to work on the car and flushing the engine but in the damage was already done.  They made it even work by revving up my car’s engine during the repair which ultimately caused the engine to blow.  I want others to know of this situation before ever looking to use Burnett’s services.

they fixed the problem, but they also used 1/2 tank of gas in my SUV.  I couldn't do anything about it because I didn't write down the mileage when I left my vehicle with them, but I know it has a full tank of gas.   They had my vehicle over night.   When I pick my vehicle up, it had 1/2 tank of gas.

    Don & Joe's Automotive Service
I ended up at Don & Joe's when my truck was stranded on my way to Ohio and I looked online for any nearby shops with good reviews.  Gene arranged the tow back to the shop for me and the truck was at the shop within a half hour.  Even though they were fully booked for almost a week, Gene jumped through hoops to get me taken care of.   I was back on the road later that same day and this was not a small job.  The work was pricey, but otherwise, I could not have asked for better service.  Thanks guys!
