My 2010 Ford F250 steering box began to leak at 100,100 miles and I asked Carriage Ford to investigate in Jan 2018. They advised the steering box was leaking and needed replacement. I had Carriage replace the box for $1,065. In March 2018 I drove the truck with my wife, dog, and 10,000 lb. fifth wheel trailer to my new home in Portland Oregon area. A trip of about 3,500 miles over 3 weeks. As we drove west the truck steering gradually became loose and keeping the truck on the road slowly became more difficult. By the time we arrived in Portland the stress of driving had injured my shoulder badly. Upon inspection we discovered the large nut holding the pitman arm to the bottom of the steering box was loose, in fact the nut was 1/8th turn from falling off. If the nut falls off the steering is 100% disconnected. The pitman arm had fallen about 1 inch down the steering box splines and was nearly disconnected. I had the Vancouver, WA Ford dealer repair the problem. It required them to remove the steering box to properly torque the nut on the pitman arm to 300 ft/lbs. It cost me $614 to fix the problem. The only way for this situation to develop was the failure of Carriage Ford to properly install the new steering box in Jan 2018, and torque the pitman arm nut. I contacted Mr. Dean Book at Carriage Ford to seek payment for the repair. Mr. Book asked me to call back when I had the exact amount and details from the local Ford repair shop. I have been trying to contact Mr. Book daily for 2 weeks. He no longer takes my calls, typically screening me with his administrative assistant. Eventually Mr. Book asked his Service Manager, Mr. Harry White call me and offer me $200 to go away. I asked them to send me the money but I do not consider the issue settled. Today, they rescinded the offer of $200. Carriage Ford put my family and myself at risk of a life threatening auto accident. I recommend you avoid this Ford dealership at all times, seek other venues to buy or repair your car. The ethics of putting a family's life at risk and not paying for the $600 repair is unconscionable.

Rotation of tires and then I had a headlight out, replaced the bulb and then there was some kind of wire he fixed. I've only had the car for a little over a year, so I have been using them everything seems to be okay.

It's warranty work. It's a little different with warranty, I think. When it's under warranty, there's no up-charges, there's nothing to,  because it's all covered under warranty. They gave us a car for free. They were excellent. It only took them 3 days, they thought it would take longer. They are great. I've used them many times.

I go to BMW for car services. It's been almost a year; I'm ready for an oil change. My car is inside of warranty. They always give me a car, I think they want me to buy a brand new one! I can get in within a day, and I get a loaner car. My car only has to have the oil change once a year. They do have to rotate the tires. Once, a year I go in. They've done a little bit of everything, you know.

They were pleasant and professional! Original quote was $450. When I showed up to pick up the truck my bill was only $250. Debbie explained that she had misunderstood the work required and misquoted. They could have charged me the quoted amount and I wouldn't have hesitated to pay. Their honesty has earned a long term customer!

They always treat me well and talk with me in a professional manner.  They don't try to talk to me as though I am a female who doesn't know anything.  They also do a great job of explaining things to me about how to install parts in my vehicle.  I highly recommend them to others.

They are honest and they don’t try to rip me off.  They don’t try to do something that doesn’t have to be done which is very unusual these days.  We just like them and have used them for years.  They provide good service.  The shop is not very big.  The people are friendly.  They don’t fool around and make me wait.  Their price is pretty reasonable.  They were recommended to us by our neighbor when we first moved here.  We have been using them ever since.

I have only had my car at Camz twice, for the same issue, and after over $745 paid, in the end they said it could not be fixed.
I first took my car to Camz due to a check engine light and rough idling. The mechanic explained how he billed regarding hooking my car up to the engine diagnostic machine and how that would only be a one-time charge for the life of my car. He stated he would then call me with an estimate but I asked him to go ahead and fix it as long as the total was under $200. He called a day later and said it was ready. When I went in, all he and the cashier could do was chastise me for not changing the oil. They told me I waited too long to have the oil changed and it messed with some sensors. They told me I was lucky and all he had to do was clean the reservoir and change the oil a few times and this appeared to fixed the problem so I didn't need new sensors. Great I thought. Of course the entire visit all the staff could do was chastise me for not having the oil changed in a timely manner. Charge was only $200.68.
I paid, got in the car, started it up and guess what -- "Check Engine" light still on. I went back in to tell him and he asked me to drive it for a few days to let the engine oil cycle through and bring it back for a repeat check up. I did as asked. I left the car with him again a few days later. This time he kept it for a couple more days. They called and said it was ready and told me I should "bring my girl friend" with me as they had some bad news for me.
When I went in to the shop, again I got the "it's all my fault" routine. They told me in the end my car was unfixable - and, of course, it was all my fault. They said that since I kept the old oil in for so long and let it drain low so much that it messed up my timing chains. They did replace 2 sensors and, of course, charged me for that. Then they told me that there were 4 timing chains and replacing them would cost over one thousand dollars and I would be better off just replacing the engine. I was upset. I was not so upset about the problem but that they had my car for over 4 days on 2 visits and did over $745 worth of work they charged me for, chastised me the entire time and still my car was no better than when I took into them in the first place.
If they could not fix it in the first place I wish they would have charged me an engine diagnostic fee, changed the oil and sent me on my way. I understand it may have been my fault but that can't be an excuse why they could not fix it and why they did so much work on it and charged me for that unneeded work. My car would still be running as it was after all the work and I would't be out all that money. Obviously I will not use them again nor will i recommend them.

I am a professional aircraft mechanic. That being the case there are not to many things I can't do on my own. I do however have a limited amount of time so when I need something done that I don't have the time for or the correct equipment The Volksdoktor is where I take my cars. David George and his staff didn't know what I did at first so they had no way of knowing they weren't going to be able to pull something over on me. After taking my cars to him on a couple of different occasions I came to realize they would never try to take advantage of a customer. This company is completely upfront and professional. While anyone can take their cars there for trusted service these folks specialize in diesel VW Jetta's and the like. I can't say enough good things about this place. I have never felt like they were trying to take advantage of me or anyone I've recommended. I have sent several people to them and all have reported back with good things to say. Because they are such a top notch bunch of people the business is constantly busy so you should expect a wait. Once they schedule you in for service they stick to their times. (Things like parts delays and shipping issues shouldn't be held against them.)

Bales has wonderful staff at their service department. The drive up service is convenient and the facility is clean with a pleasant atmosphere. The waiting room is nice with free Wi-Fi, although they are so fast that I never spend much time there. They've also provided me with a coupon for ten bucks off of my next visit each time I've been in.
