Plumber reviews in Jamestown

I can't thank Doug Weston enough. I installed the system myself and simply needed to have PEX water lines cut, new lines run, valved and connected; something I didn't have the tools to do. Knowing it wasn't a big job in terms of work or money, Doug was still gracious enough to do it, and to do it professionally and timely. Thanks so much Doug!

Difficulty getting it scheduled. Vectren just ran gas lines through Jamestown in November. Many people were converting from propane. I had an electric furnace. So my appointment kept getting pushed back. Scheduleing was tenative. Understandable, but frustrating. I didn't get a hard appointment until 2 days prior. They can out and looked at my furnace 3 or 4 days before installing and we discussed required 3 inch PVC venting. This somehow became 2 inch PVC when they installed it. It took 2 phone calls and an email to the manufacturer that this was ok. Better communication would have greatly improved my experience.

Brad is the best!  He was so helpful and knowledgeable and flushed both of our water heaters for a very low price.  He also helped us troubleshoot our high electric bills by inspecting our furnace, sump pumps, etc.  I would not hesitate to use this company again!

We had some install/quality issues, however, Booher has been very professional and responsive and they have been resolved to our satisfaction.  They even contacted us after we paid in full to make sure everything was OK.   We would consider again for future projects.

K2 Plumbing showed up on time and after explaining what I needed done and where all the parts I had purchased were, they got straight to work. They completed cleaning out the trench and dug out the ends of the trench at the house and pole barn to install the water line and hydrant. I also asked the team to install a PVC conduit in the open trench for any future low voltage electrical needs. That was done quickly and Keith even gave me some pointers on how to easily prepare to pull lines through the conduit when I am ready to do that.
The water line and PVC conduit were installed and secured in a timely fashion and I'm very happy with the quality of the work.
The team offered to clean up and refill the trench but I completed that part myself.
K2 Plumbing will be at the top of my list if I ever need other plumbing work done around the house.

I came home Wednesday and found low water pressure and the water was gray. I called the company around 3:30 pm and the gentleman showed up at 7:00 pm the same day. He found the pressure tank was not working correctly and I had water running out of the ground around my well. We shut off the water and they came out the next day at 9:30 am and stayed till 1:30 am in the morning working on it. They dug up the well and found it leaking around the nipple running from the well pipe. They replaced the clamp and added a new section of line. They also replaced the pressure tank and suggested a larger tank which would give us better pressure upstairs in the bathroom. There was one leak after a pipe broke loose but it was cleaned up and fixed. I have no problems with the work they did or the attitudes of the 2 gentleman that preformed it. They were very friendly and it didn't seem to bother them with all of my questions and picture taking. I cannot stress how nice both Terry and Tony were and how much the job they did was appreciated. I have excellent water pressure in my shower for the first time in years and it is awesome!! I still need to run a new water line from my well into the house and they will be that also.

Dennis and his helper showed up and started working quickly digging the trenches and laying the tile. It started raining and they worked through it and continued until the job was completed. Everything was cleaned up. I would recommend this company to family and friends and I will defiantly use them again.

The obstruction is still in place, Roto-rooter did not fix anything, and actually made things worse.
My house is very old, and the outside plumbing is from the 1930s and the inside is newer PVC, it makes things more difficult, but an experienced plumber should have been able to complete the job.  Roto did verify that the main line is clear of obstruction from my outside breakout to the street.  Other than a small break in the tile that is letting in some dirt it is clean.
So our obstruction was inside the house or right outside.  Once the first guy run his snake down the toilet drain and thought he had cleared it the toilets flushed normally.  Unfortunately we had drained all the lines using another breakout in the basement, that meant that all the main lines took awhile to fill with water.  After a load of laundry, a shower or two the toilet he had removed began to leak water from it's base.  When he removed the toilet to clear the line I specifically asked him if he was going to put a new wax ring down since the original one pulled in two, he agreed that it was needed.
Roto sent out another guy that afternoon, and worked on it for an hour.  We had drained the main lines again so he also thought he had cleared the obstruction.  The next day we got the same thing.
That evening I went ahead and pulled the toilet up, they had not replaced the wax ring.  I had bought a 50' snake and tried to clear it myself, after an hour or so of that, there were a few times that I felt resistance and then push through that.  Installed the toilet with a new wax ring and ran some water.  After awhile the tub backed up, but the toilet no longer leaked from around the base.
I agree with one of the previous posters that this is basically a way to sell you on a major expensive repair.  The field supervisor pushed hard to dig up the main line where there was dirt coming through, where the problem was not at.  The field supervisor was pushy and condescending to my wife, trying to get her to sign off on the major repair.  I called him yesterday to tell him that they had not fixed the problem, and he said that we got a follow up visit and his attitude was we were lucky to get even that.  So the 6 month guarantee is not worth the paper it is printed on.
I did learn some things from the first guy they sent out, and now we have a good idea where the blockage is.  A typical line blockage they might be good with, but the hard sell on a $3900 job that was not part of the problem really irritated me.

THEY WERE EXTREMELY ATTENTIVE TO MY NEEDS. THEY CAME IMMEDIATELY EVEN THOUGH IT WAS LATE IN THE DAY. THEY WERE WILLING TO DO OVERTIME, BUT I TOLD THEM THEY COULD WAIT UNTIL THE MORNING. THE NEXT DAY, I NOTICED SCRATCHES ON THE SINK. I CALLED TO LET THEM KNOW, AND WITHOUT QUESTION, THEY SAID THEY WOULD COME OUT AND REPLACE IT AND THEY DID. THEY IMMEDIATELY, THOROUGHLY, AND CAREFULLY TOOK CARE OF IT.
