About Us

DeAndre’ Catering was started in November 1987, when Raymond and Marie Tardy catered their first wedding for their daughter. The food and decor, along with presentation was so great that people began calling asking for them to do weddings, reunions, business meetings, and then people starting asking for food only. With much thought and a faithful few backers the business was off and running. Marie K. Tardy was born in Campbellsville, Kentucky where her cooking skills were developed by working closely with her grandmother and mother in the kitchen preparing lunch for the many farm hands each day, insuring that the food was on time and most important good and hot. Down through the years Marie has had wonderful opportunities to cook for the Boston Celtics Basketball Team, the New England Football Team, and locals such as the Mayor, the Steward family and staff, celebrity Ms. Aretha Franklin the Queen of Soul, many other hospital staff, and for past eleven years provided free food to the children at the annual Back To School Festival, the Urban League, the Concerned Clergy of Indianapolis, and many many more. Their food was to die for, the best BBQ RIbs, creamy Macaroni and Cheese, fresh fried corn, home style fried Salmon pads. Her desserts fast became high demand, always homemade, things like homemade peach cobbler, carrot cake, sweet potato pie, Carmel Cake, banana pudding. Over time their menu has grown to include more healthier foods, but still very tasteful. Menus for people with special diets are available. They are always doing their best to please their customers. Raymond and Marie, husband and wife have cooked side by side the last thirty years with God on their side and His grace and mercy to follow them though the good and the bad, the hot and the cold, cooking their heart out to bring the best food and service, always employing the best from within the community. Our prayer is that we can continue to serve for many years to come.
