    Nowicki Construction
Fred called to set up an appointment, He arrived on time and was professional but also very personable. He assessed the areas of our concern and was very forthcoming about how to best resolve the problems but offered options as well. He began work immediately and when he completed the work he cleaned up behind himself and had us view his work to make sure we were pleased. This is the second time we have employed Fred and I would highly recommend his masonry services.

Scheduled appt with Joe. Was very clear on what i needed done. he said fine. They rescheduled the appt. to allow more time. Techs came out said fireplace was very dirty but could not clean it because they didnt have time. They also said i had an aftermarket firebox from the 60s. Fast forward to next day 4 more companys came out to qive quotes. ALL 4 said my chimney was basically spotless almost never used. Firebox was original to home. Long story short. They dont know what they are doing and Joe needs some serious training.

    Steve Coleman Masonry
I called Steve and he came for the estimate one day later.  He took measurements and gave me an estimate right on the spot.  He told me that he could have the work completed within the next two weeks.  He called me a week later and told me they were coming the next day. He and his crew arrived the next morning as scheduled.  They did a great job.  Even though they ran into some problems he had not foreseen and the job took a couple of hours longer, there was no whining and complaining and no additional charges.  He and his crew worked diligently and neatly.  When they were done they cleaned everything up and left no mess behind.
I am extremely happy with his work, will use his services again in the future and highly recommend him to anyone that needs masonry work.

    Nowicki Construction
Fred and his associate arrived on time , ready to work. We looked at the trouble areas together and Fred made recommendations that helped us reuse the present bricks. He pointed out an area I had not noticed that needed similar attention and included it in the original quote. He showed us his work halfway through and included us in selecting the recovered bricks most appropriate new locations. After completing their work we reviewed it and were impressed by the finished results. They were careful of the flower beds and cleaned up behind themselves. I had spoken with Fred by phone before he came to our house. He has shown himself to be friendly, considerate, honest and fair at all times. I highly recommend Fred for masonary work. You will not be disappointed.

It went well, Fred gave me an estimate the day after he looked at the Job.  Started the job 2 days later. Finished the job in two and a half days.  Cost was the same as was estimated.  Left the site clean and orderly.  I have since hired him to do another job at my residence. This man is a highly talented Mason who I am pleased to reccomend.

    Illiana Masonry Inc
Illiana Masonry responded within 24 hours of my email, Greg set up an appointment to visit my home and complete an estimate. From the first email to the completion of the job was about 7 days. I was very pleased with the work that was done, and especially happy with how quickly the job was completed. The price was very competitive and fair. All cracks were fixed and several bricks were replaced. The steel lintels were replaced to prevent future cracks. Thank You Illiana Masonry!!!!

    Nowicki Construction

Fred Nowicki the owner and expert mason arrived to provide an estimate on time and was very thorough in his evaluation of our 1928 limestone home.  We originally asked him to grind out ALL of our old mortar and  re-tuck the entire house.  Fred indicated that even after all of these years, that much of the home was still in great shape and that we should not harm something that is working well.  The power washing removed years of dirt and grime from the large stones and immediately looked much better.

We discussed that matching the color and consistency of the old mortar would be a challenge.  Luckily, Fred had a colleague in Pennsylvania that has a business that provides the exact color matching process we required.  Samples were sent and within a week we received the custom mixed mortar for our home.  The test sample batch went well and was as close a match as was possible to the existing/faded mortar.

The larger batches were received within the next three days and Fred and his co-worker Matt, began the process of tuck pointing. Being that we were having the entire house examined, the process took Fred and Matt only about four days to complete the entire process.

We enjoyed having Nowicki Construction at our home.  Fred and Matt, were both very friendly and out going.  Always ready to explain to the home owner exactly what they were doing, the science behind it, and why it was being done.  They were also very open to explaining to you why you may not actually require something that you thought was a requirement.  Fred told me that he was very capable of grinding away ALL of the mortar holding my large limestone in place and re tuck point the entire house.  Although, the cost would be much, much higher and the structural integrity of my home would not be one percent any more sound,  and potentially more damage could have been done.

We highly recommend Fred Nowicki for your masonry work.  He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and has an abundance of interesting stories.  Very engaging person, highly professional and extremely trust worthy.  If he tells you something needs, or does not need to be done you can feel assured that it is the right thing to do.  Great prices!  After you have read all of the work I have described above, I feel that $2000 was a very fair price for very high quality work done by professionals

    On Point Masonry
Things went smoothly.  Colonel was easy to get ahold of and quick to schedule the inspection and repair.  He got the chimney fixed super quickly, too.

I don't know much about chimneys, but Colonel explained the issue (in about as much detail as I'd be interested in).  It was nice to be spoken to like an intelligent person, even though I don't know much about masonry or chimneys or any of that.

I felt like the price was really fair, and a couple of people that I've talked to have confirmed that $2,000 seemed reasonable for the work done.

As far as the final product: Colonel does nice, neat work.  I think the chimney looks as attractive as any chimney I've ever seen, and it seems to be functioning properly, too!

Overall, I'd definitely recommend this little company.  Also, they like most reputable companies, guarantee their work.  Can't go wrong.

    Affordable Tuckpointing Pros LLC
They were really good, prompt and reliable. When I called the company, I believe it was the wife that works with him who said that he would come out and give me an estimate during the week. He actually came out on a Saturday or Sunday, and I was impressed because it was a beautiful sunny weekend day. They came out the very next day. The guys came out in the morning and were done faster than expected. The work was beautiful, and the price was affordable. I would recommend them to others. They were very polite, quick and efficient and cleaned up after themselves. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.
