    There was an initial meeting with the sales person. Installation was scheduled for the system about a week later. Everything was fine. The sales person was great. He gave us a lot of different options. He listened to what we said our concerns were and our needs were. He did a walk-thru of the house and gave us all the information that he thought that would work best. The salesperson came out and was at the house and it took a few hours. He also was good. He went over all of the equipment with me, helped me decide on a few other things that we had added, you know what was the best location to put certain key pads and things throughout the house. They were all very professional. Right on time.

    I was contacted by Moran in January about upgrading my home security system. We have had the system since 2009 when it was installed by  Myers. They were purchased by Moran a few years ago. They wanted to charge me $200 for the upgrade and have me sign a contract for a year's service , raise our rates, and take away our service agreement (signed with Myers and supposedly gradfathered in by Moran) stating that we would not be charged by service calls to our home. I chose not to sign on for the new agreement. I continued with my service with them until I had time to explore switching to a new company.
     When contacted by Moran, I told them that we periodically set our alarm off by accident. When it has happened in the past few months, we get no follow up call from  Moran like we did when Myers owned the company.  No one from Moran did anything about this. A couple weeks ago, I set the alarm off on purpose to see if they would respond as they are supposed to. I received no call from Moran.  If they are not following up with a call, we are left unprotected in case of an emergency yet they are still expecting us to pay our bill for NOTHING.  I have written to them- local office and corporate asking them to e-mail me (I am almost impossible to catch at home and cant usually answer when at work)with a response. After over a week, I have heard nothing back from them.
    I am dropping my "service" with them since I am receiving no service at all and switching to another company.
    Very poor performance and NO communication.

    It is a service that is there. It came with the new house. We haven't utilized the service, except that you have the alarm system in the house and turn it on when we leave or when we go to sleep. It is there being used. It is fine, it is working out fine.

    This is an updated to a previous report. Originally we gave them a "C" mainly based on how the system was sold. This may have been a little hearse considering the response from the owner addressing the problem, the excellent installation and  quality of the system.   I have now decided to give them an "A".  







    We originally talked to their representative at the Home and Garden show. Several days after the show were were contacted by their sales person informing us that we won a system. We thought it was a little deceptive to tell us we won a system even though what they provided was not more then any other alarm system. The owner of TNT assured us he would correct this misunderstanding. Like they say if it looks to good to be true you should double check things.







     The installation was great. As stated above the installer found out that our present system did not actually have a CO2 detector connected to it. He replaced an alarm with one that has a CO2 detector. The interconnected  smoke alarm system in our new house was high voltage and could not be connected to their system. ADT just used a single smoke detector placed in the Family room. With this set up if a fire started in an upper level the ADT system would likely not detect it until the smoke reached the lower level alarm.  The installer from TNT had a system that would solve this deficiency. He placed what is really just a dull microphone next to the smoke alarm in the upper level. This is only sensitive to the loud high pitched sound of a smoke detector.  Smoke or CO2 detected by any of the detectors sets them all off. With the TNT system the microphone then sends the alert to their system.







    We were informed by the sales person their system could be connected to our garage doors but the installer said it could not with our brand. I was told the sales person would receive further training. A representative from TNT stopped by today (6/9/14) to see how things were going. He informed us that incompatibility with their system and our garage door has been addressed. They can now replace the buttons on the garage wall that will work with our system and theirs. This will be $150 installation but no additional monthly cost.







    The camera they provide is excellent. The night vision provides a very good picture. 







    The keypad they provide is excellent and easy to adjust. We originally though having it saying "garage door" every time the door to the garage was opened cute. We have since turned this off.  It still announces when the other doors are opened. The way to test the system is easier then ADT. With ADT you had to call their central office to inform them of the test. The TNT system steps you through the test with a call not needed. 







    We did accidentally set off they system once when we "fat fingered" the turn off code. Their office quickly called about the alarm. 







    They have an excellent app that can completely control their system. if I am worried about not getting the system deactivated I can do it through the app.







    When the representative from TNT stopped by he informed us the monthly monitoring fee has been decreased from $45 to $39. Not too often a company will decrease cost.

    One of the keypads on my alarm stopped functioning unexpectedly.  I was not able to get it to work after reading the manual.  Since Corman had installed my system in 1997 I called them for advice.  I explained the problem to the lady who answered.  She looked up my name and found my records.  She said that it may have just died from use, but suggested that I try a "hard reset", by unplugging the power and the battery to the control panel.   I had planned to do that, but was afraid I would lose all my codes.  I did what she suggested and that cured the problem. 
    I was afraid they would try to get me to agree to a costly service call to troubleshoot the problem, but was impressed that she tried to help me on the phone instead.   However, I would probably not use them for a new system based on their Angie's List reviews.
