Excellent. They took care in every detail. The quality was excellent in the amount of time. They made sure they would meet their deadlines. They picked up any trash on the floor . Todd kept me in the loop with every detail.

    Robin Campbell Builders
I think its important to note that it is widely accepted and known that building a house is a stressful, emotional process that often involves unanticipated surprises! That being said, overall, we had a positive experience working with Robin and Chad at Robin Campbell Builders. We started our home building process by meeting with Robin and drafting up a set of plans. From there, we purchased property and began construction. Before we ever signed a contract with Robin, he met with us to evaluate a few pieces of property (even bringing out a subcontractor when we had concerns about the grade of the land). Once we started the building process, we felt that they did a good job advocating for us with their subcontractors when things didnt go as planned. They were up front with us regarding costs, change points, etc. They were also very responsive to our questions/requests and flexible to accommodate our schedules. We made it a priority to make timely decisions in order to not delay the process, and we feel that they worked hard to keep up progress on our home despite beginning our build in the winter. We appreciated that they allowed us to source some of our own materials/products so that we could maximize cost savings. We hope to utilize them in the future for a 2nd garage.

Not well at all. Attempting to get structural issues resolved. We moved in October 2017 and we are waiting on Hallmark engineers to come up with a fix. Lots of problems for a 1300 square ft house, the list is long. Be sure you get everything the construction manager changes in writing, be sure to look at closing paperwork and warranty prior to closing, lots of surprises! Also ask for a detailed cost review before and during construction. We were Charged for projects not performed, and overcharged for a permit, they only show you a "short list of costs" at closing. Our closing was in the kitchen of our home and nothing was explained! The whole process was confusing because the Construction mgr. didn't know answers and said if we wanted our house we had to pay now and questions answered later. Lots and lots of concerns with our new home, so sad that our retirement dream went haywire. The warranty team are really good guys, professional and want to get things fixed!

Not well at all. Currently working with warranty program for structural and other repairs. Warranty people are very professional and willing to help! This review is related to Hallmark homes from Anderson, Indiana, not Columbus? Paul Schwinghammer is the builder of our home.

    Southside Electric

I was so impressed with Scott and his electricians. I have heard some really bad experiences other owners have had with commercial electrical contractor but this was not the case with South Side Electric. First of all South Side Electric started the job on time and finished sooner than expected. Scott gave me a fair price for the job but now I think I got the better end of the this deal.

First of all they were always on time, they worked a full day, kept their area's cleaned, very knowledgeable on everything they did and the Owner Scott Hash kept up on every detail of his electricians work. Very Impressed once again. I also was blown away that Scott went above what we even talked about doing on the job just to provide a safer restaurant for us. (No charge) He said it was no big deal and he moved on. (Unheard of).

Scott Hash did not ask for this write up but I'm doing it because they are a family business that works Johnson County, Columbus, Bloomington, Brown County areas and they were extremely good, fair priced and the owners care about the work they do. This company is an AAA company and I hope you call on them when you need a commercial project or home project. I will never hastate to call South SIde Electrician again.

It was a great experience.  I did not have any trouble.  They were very flexible, informative, friendly, kind, and they worked with me. I love my home.  They gave me a warranty for a year.  Anytime anything needed to be fixed or I found something, they came right out to fix it.  They have done an excellent job.

My family has suffered enough with M/I Homes over the greater part of two years that I beg you not to build with them. They will try and convince you that your situation will be different but I promise you that it will NOT. I have never experienced a more immoral, unprofessional, and disrespectful company. The list of promises they have failed to deliver on (or have only completed after repeated phone calls, e-mail, etc.) is too long to mention but I will name a few:
-We closed in December 2014...we did not get a yard until that July and this was after multiple phones calls and e-mails.
-They failed to have internet/cable lines put in for the new section of the neighborhood that we built in so we had no choice but to use Dish to at least have internet for work. We were told that we should sign up for Dish and submit our receipt and M/I would reimburse us completely. After signing the contract and submitting the receipt we were told by M/I that we were misinformed and that they never intended to do that. Instead we were given a check for $500 which didn't even cover the cancellation fees.
-We were originally told our home would begin being built in Spring of 2013 and it wasn't started until Fall and we didn't close until December...don't even get me started on the closing process...what a nightmare!
-We have tile flooring in the entry, kitchen, bathrooms and laundry. The kitchen and master bathroom have been re-grouted once already (in November 2014) and are already cracking and discolored. The other bathroom and laundry room need to be repaired as well. We are now having trouble getting the flooring issue to be resolved.
-The customer care department has repeatedly failed to communicate promptly and required us to send multiple e-mails, phone calls, and go to upper leadership in order to get a response. We had taken time off work to have our 1-year walk through done with the guarantee that the flooring company would be coming as well to discuss our concerns. The flooring company did not come and we found out later that the customer care department had failed to contact them.
I really could go on and on about the poor quality of this "business." In my opinion, they are only concerned about making money and not about the quality of their homes or their customer service.
Please do not waste your time or your sanity. It is NOT WORTH IT.

Casey and his men did a great job in remodeling our kitchen. Good communication, quality work, and reasonably priced services. Casey was very flexible and easy to work with.
Would highly recommend him for any remodel, construction, house painting, etc...

    Robin Campbell Builders
From our first meeting, our Congregation's Building Committee knew that Robin Campbell was the right General Contractor for the job. His professionalism, mixed with a down-to-earth, plain-speaking "can-do" attitude (without the "sales-pitchy-ness" feeling we got from other General Contractors we had interviewed) immediately won us over. We knew we could work with Robin, and he quickly proved that he was the right choice.
Robin is a man who commits to the job he is doing. But more than that, he commits to the people for whom he is working. We constantly recognized throughout the time we worked with him that he was a man we could trust to not only get the job done, but to get it done right. He carefully chose the subcontractors he knew would be best for our project, and we were not disappointed in his decisions.
In the building of our church, we used many volunteer workers, and Robin was not only willing to work with them extraordinarily well, but he was also willing to "get his hands dirty" and work right along side of us. He is a man who doesn't just oversee a project, but takes the project to heart, making sure everything is done well and in accordance with the budget.
In addition, Robin was always prompt and made every meeting. He spent enormous amounts of time "on-site" making sure everything was being taken care of. He is quick to answer phone calls and emails. We always felt as though we could come to him with any question or concern and know that he would answer and resolve any questions or concerns we had. Often, he would already be working on an issue he noticed before we even saw it or contacted him about it. He constantly amazed us with his dedication to the project.
We would not hesitate to refer Robin to anyone. He was a blessing to us and made what could have been an enormously stressful experience a joyful one instead.

    John Eaton Homes Inc
The experience was great. I've worked with other builders and they only cared about the bottom dollar. John Eaton Homes took what I wanted and made it workable home. The finished product was great. I stayed within budget and still love my house. John gave me ideas that bettered my house and made the flow work well.
