  • They built our deck in 1996 and we were pleased with the work done and when we wanted to remodel the deck we planned to use them again but with the passing of Frank Spivey in 2017 this company is no longer in existence per his son's company. Angie's List needs to take down this listing.

  • Nick (owner) came to the house to give us an estimate of the project. He was very professional, asked a lot of questions, listened to what we had to say (our desires and concerns), made a number of suggestions, asked a lot more questions, told us what he would use (material) and how he would construct the patio and then asked a lot more questions. Nick and his Dad arrived at 8:00 AM on the day he had scheduled us to start the project and got right into it. He had a dumpster delivered a few days prior to his start and began to load all of the wood from the deck we tore out prior to his start date. Nick said the project would take 2 weeks and it did; to the day. We ran into a few snags during the process but, Nick and his Dad handled them without a problem and WITHOUT A PRICE CHANGE. Unlike many small contractors that get you hooked by starting your project and then after a couple of days give you some excuse as to why they can not come for the next few days (or just don't show up) while they go off and start or finish another project (OR BOTH), NICK AND HIS DAD WERE HERE EVERY DAY 10 to 12 HOURS A DAY UNTIL THE JOB WAS COMPLETE. Nick also PLACED EVERY STONE HIMSELF. HE EVEN GOT MY WIFE INVOLVED NUMEROUS TIMES TO HELP DECIDE WHICH SIDE OF THE STONE PIECES SHE LIKED BETTER (which took time), SOMETHING HE DID NOT HAVE TO DO AT ALL. Along with our patio Nick and his Dad also did a few small 'handyman' projects for us and again DID NOT CHANGE HIS PRICE OR CHARGE US IN ANY WAY. The patio looks magnificent (800 sq. ft.). I have been involved with contractors in the past and NONE HAVE BEEN AS HONEST, AS QUALITY ORIENTED, SO COMMUNICATIVE, SO PUNCTUAL, AND SO CUSTOMER ORIENTED AS NICK While Nick was not the least expensive he certainly was not the most expensive. The old adage of "you get what you pay for" most definitely applies in this case. We most certainly will use Nick in the future and we have already contacted him to replace our old fence with a new one. I CAN NOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW ENJOYABLE IT WAS TO WORK WITH NICK AND HIS DAD. If you are considering a major project on your property or one that you are responsible for I would urge you to contact Patio Scapes and speak with Nick Weir an individual who still understands what the word INTEGRITY means.

  • The project went great. They started when they said they would and they were at my house every morning until they were finished. They were always polite to us and to our dogs. They did what they told me they would and had the entire deck done in 6 - 7 days. I would definitely recommend them to any of my family or friends.

  • Professional and friendly!! When I reached out to Blue Bear, I asked if they could also teach me how to properly pressure wash and stain my deck for my own knowledge moving forward and they happily agreed! Bryan gave me a great hands on tutorial on pressure washing, staining and cleaning out the dryer vent. I will definitely reach out to them for all of our future home service needs.

  • These guys were friendly, fast and helped me out a lot. They not only laid new concrete around my pool area but also helped out with some leveling of the area around the pool. I highly recommend and will be using them once I can get around to my drive way being done.

  • D&M has performed 2 previous projects for me. One was a sidewalk replacement and the other was a foundation and slab for a patio. Both positive experiences. So, they were an easy choice for the drive. They were lowest quote as well. (Just remember you can't drive on for 2 weeks. Plan accordingly.)

  • I've been meaning to give Ralph an A+ rating for rebuilding our deck for several years and I must apologize to Ralph for my procrastination. At the time and for a couple of years after, I was fighting to retain my sight and it got in my way of writing a review. Thankful to say, I bounced back after a long recovery and I'm grateful for that and also grateful for Ralph's most excellent skill and craftsmanship. Sorry Ralph, it took me so long to post this review. I can't imagine there would be anything that Ralph and his Crew could not accomplish; they really deserve to be called Deckmasters. Ralph hand selected the material and every detail of the construction project was spot on; in addition to rebuilding our second story deck, he also built a two tiered staircase with a landing which was a very significant project in of itself, in addition to the deck. Easy to give Ralph five stars; he is one the best contractors I have ever worked with. Ralph is a stickler for keeping the tolerances tight and deserves allot of credit for being so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about his vocation. You can rest easy, doing business with Ralph Ford! Thank you, Ralph, you're a most excellent contractor and human being; I wish you the best. Approximate date of construction project - 2013

  • Chuck was great! From start to finish, I couldn't have asked for more. His communication before, and during the project was amazing. Chuck talked us thru our options and helped us make an informed decision that would best suit our needs. He stayed personally involved with the project and his workers, Eduardo and Pedro were the kindest, most respectful workers I have met. We cannot wait to begin our next project and will call on Chuck for all of our needs. A++

  • The previous owner had used latex paint on pressure treated wood. I hired Jason (bad mistake) to fix the problem the previous owner had caused. A concern that I had raised with Jason was the paint was peeling and if we put a stain on top would it continue to peel. He said, “it won’t be a problem.” Another concern I had was my dogs running on the deck and scratching the new stain off, and of course, he replied, “it won’t be a problem.” His workers came and what I noticed about the two men is that they were more professional than Jason. My only issue with them is that I wished they would have pointed out the rotting boards before they stained over. Maybe they contacted “Grunting Jason” about it and he told them to stain over them. Who knows? The second problem with Jason, first being he lied about stain over paint, was he overbilled us. When he mailed me the final invoice, I texted him asking for his email because I wanted to send him some information. His response was not very professional, but he said “why do you need that” I explained why and he reluctantly gave it to me. We paid him in full. Below is a timeline of emails and text messages I had with Jason over the last year. His last response to me was 08/09/2016. Mark: 06/16/2016 – Hi Jason, our deck is starting to peel in places, and I was wondering when you could come over and look at it. Jason: 06/01/2016 – No problem what's your address Mark: 7/27/2016 – Hi Jason, never heard back from you about coming over to look at the deck. Let me know what times work well for you. JASON: DIDN’T RESPOND Mark: 08/7/2016 – I sent him a copy of my previous 3 emails JASON: NO RESPONSE TEST MESSAGE CONVERSATION: Mark: 08/09/2016 – Does your email work? I have sent you 3 emails and no response. Jason: 08/09/2016 – I’m on vacation Mark: 08/09/2016 – Didn’t know that (At this point I asked myself. Doesn’t he know how to use vacation message in his email.) Mark: 09/10/2016 – Are you back from vacation? Do I need to schedule a time for you to see my deck next year? I have been contacting you since June 1, 2016. JASON: NO RESPONSE Just remember if you decided to use Jason, his famous phrase along with a grunting is “it won’t be problem” followed by a grunt. By the way, Jason, writing this review…was not a problem! Also, Jason please send the $650 refund to my address

  • I contacted Charlie after getting a referral from a friend. A previously scheduled contractor cancelled on me at the last minute. Charlie had an opening and was able to get me in. They built a pergola over an existing deck. They worked quickly and effectively. The quality was solid. They didn't mind that I was out there asking questions. His price was very competitive. I would recommend them and will use them again.
