    Woody's Electric & Refrigeration
My neighbor and I took the old geothermal unit out and put the new unit in, and needed the two water lines hooked up for the geothermal, and the two water lines for the hot water recovery ( desuperheater) hooked up. After hooking these lines up, and turning the unit on, one of the pvc pipes blew apart, because they hooked the lines up wrong, telling me the directions were wrong. The next day I went through those directions myself, and they were absolutely correct! Everything was clearly marked, water in, water out. I told them that we would need a small circulating pump for the desuperheater installed in the line to keep that water moving between the holding tank and the geothermal furnace. They told me that this was gravity fed, and would not need a pump. This is a closed loop, and cannot possibly circulate by gravity. I finally convinced them that a pump was needed, and that the water was not circulating, and so they finally put in a pump. They put in a cast iron pump. You cannot use cast iron for a potable water system. (google it) Lee plumbing came out a couple days later on another job, noticed the Job that was done, and said it was not a proper install. I found that Darrell Lee, not only sells, installs, and services geothermal furnaces, but went to school for it, as well. We wound up doing much of the job over. Folks it is up to you to vet contractors before you hire them. Some people will tell you whatever you want to hear, if you are going to give them money. I did not do my due diligence in this case and so have only myself to blame for what was a most unpleasant and stressful situation. Woody insisted that he did everything right, with the exception of the circulating pump, so we will have to agree to disagree. It is my opinion, that Woody's area of expertise is in electrical, not in geothermal. If you hire him for electrical work, I'm sure he will do a fine job for you. If you hire him, or anyone else, for a job, it is up to you to make sure they have the skills you require to do the job to your satisfaction.

After a recent move we had a few smaller electrical items needing tended to; however, more importantly was looking to find and establish an ongoing working relationship with a new electrical contractor after discovering a competitor we had worked with prior had for lack of words cut some corners coming into question during our previous home sale. After filtering down potential contractors we really wanted to find one family owned and locally operated as we feel smaller businesses such as these are not only more accountable, but also take on a greater sense of pride in their work. After meeting Matt as well as talking with his brother [Justin?] in setting up the appt they ticked the box on everything we had been looking for. All in all we look forward to working with them moving forward as additional projects come about.

    Renovation Creations
(12/10/15) I received a phone call from the owner last night in reference to the lack of communication. He explained that he had a death in the family and that commitment kept him away from the business for about a month. He was extremely apologetic and assured me that this was not the way he runs his business. I appreciate the phone call follow up from him and I would definitely allow him an opportunity to quote projects for me in the future. In my opinion, this is an extremely professional way to run his business.

Jerry was very easy to work with. I wasn't living in the house at the times he did the work but he was very accommodating about making arrangements to get in and do the work. After the inspection was done and the buyers had made their requests he made every effort to get the work done by closing.

    Shekinah Electric Inc
I had a 5 bulb kitchen light that stopped working. I replaced the on/off wall switch, but that didn't fix it. Made an appointment for a Monday afternoon and took a half day off work to have them look at it. 10 minutes past the appointment time, I called them and they had forgotten about the appointment and didn't have anyone available to come out. Eventually the owner (I think) said he would come out and look at it. Within the hour he arrived and was able to find the problem and fix it. I'd recommend them, but make sure they have your appointment set when you make it. This could have been much worse. but turned out ok.

    Ken's Home Improvement
I made an appointment with Ken to show Ken the jobs I hoped to have done. He said he'd like to see the house and would give me an estimate. We discussed in detail the location of the house. I gave exact address and indicated a nearby major intersection. I gave him my phone number. He agreed to meet me at the house at an agreed on date and time. When that time came, he did not show up and he never called, beforehand or afterward, to cancel, reschedule, or ask for more street directions.

    All State Electric
Two of the 3 globes in our kitchen ceiling light fixture shorted out. We were concerned about it being a fire hazard and wanted to have it replaced as soon as possible. Tom came out the same day that we called, and installed the new fixture that we had purchased the night before. He was punctual, very professional, and thorough in assessing the situation and explaining what he was going to do. He had given us an estimate over the phone, and the final charge was exactly what he had quoted. He did an excellent job, and we are very happy with the results! We would definitely call All State Electric again.
