    West Chester Animal Hospital
He's so hard to get to because he's so crowded and busy. He's busy because he's very good with animals. I like him. I brought her in and they checked her and they did not want to charge me anything. They said she was fine, but I wanted to see the doctor.  I've been going there for years. They had a lot of our animals. Their price is on the low side. I don't have to worry about going in there and not being able to afford it. They're always very fair. They're outstanding. I've had animals with diabetes and that had to stay there for a week. At the end of the week I have a $200 bill for a week long hospitalization. You can't beat that. They can't handle the volume. They have like 9 staff members and their not all up on how to manage. The doctor is so caring, he's not aggressive, which I like. Some people don't like that I think. They think because their dog ate a plastic container that they have to cut them open and do a $3000 surgery, they don't do that there and I like that. My animals has lived a long, healthy and happy life. If he was doing that prematurely I would have to take them somewhere else, but he doesn't do that.  He's taken good care of my animals.

He was wonderful. A truck rolled over my dog, the dog didn't get hurt. The dog ran away for three days, and it took me three days to find him. The dog was hot dead when I found him from stress.  He was a very nervous dog. He was very gentle with him. I love those people.

My boys have been going to Barb's for years (probably about 7 years now).   I would give an A+++ if I could.  Always have great service and with a smile.  The boys love her and look amazing each and every month when I pick them up.  I would recommend her to everyone!  Schedule your appointment today!!!

    Creature Comforts
We were heading out of town for the holidays, and the person we had lined up to take care of our animals had to cancel. So we found Deb of Creature Comforts here on Angie's list at the very last minute. Deb was amazing and we feel incredibly lucky we found her. When we called (the night before we were to take off for vacation!), she promptly came out for a and quot;meet and greetand quot; before we left, with treats in her pocket. You could tell she loves animals and was comfortable taking over, in spite of an initial growl from one of our dogs. THEN what became good pet care became top of the line pet care when the blizzard of 2014 hit. Deb came out twice every day, in spite of the weather. The one time she could not make it, she cleaned up the couple of messes the next day for us. We have a long driveway which got snowed in, and she parked her car at the end of the driveway and trudged up in the snow to take care of the dogs, check on the inside cats, and feed the outdoor barn cats. She made a makeshift shelter for the dogs on our porch to block the wind until it became unfeasible to keep them outside during the day because of the subzero temperatures. Deb also kept in touch with us, and texted about her visits us to reassure us about the and quot;kids.and quot; THEN when we were snowed out and could not get home, Deb reassured us she would still keep taking care of the pets as best she could, given the emergency status of the roads (she only missed one visit!). We were finally able to get home and everyone was doing great. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate Deb and the commitment she had to our animals. I would tell everyone who needs pet care to hire Deb. We were so lucky and pleased that she could help us out so much.

    Lake Station Pet Clinic
Between the initial and second visit, our new dog, who was our 4th bully breed rescue in 15 years, ate 13 tablets of one of my daily prescriptions. The front staff at Lake Station miscommunicated with the vet and also one another and did not even get the name of the drug right -- even though I spelled the brand and generic names, described the condition the drug addresses, and read the drug description from the Internet.
As 2:30 p.m. was and quot;late in the dayand quot; (the vets stop taking appointments a few hours before closing), the front desk referred me to animal poison control and the emergency vet at Purdue North Central (more than 30 miles from home). No one told me my dog was going into kidney failure.
After 4.5 days at the emergency vet, I had to take the dog on a regular schedule to Lake Station for follow-up blood work. The dog was clearly not welcome and, without prior notice after an incident I witnessed, was muzzled at all times in both the waiting area and in the office. The first time, the muzzle was forced on him and was two sizes too small. The techs seemed afraid of our dog as well as the ire of the vets.
The practice (front desk) did not integrate the Humane Society's records into their own, failing to note for 6-8 weeks that there was no rabies certificate (there was a tag) and duplicating vaccines which had already been given.
On the plus side, the vet was knowledgable, interested, and did a lot of research on our behalf. However, he noted liability with respect to the muzzle, vigorously expressed his religious views and his stance on the use of and quot;language, and quot; and engaged in gossip about the emergency vet practice. Not at all professional!!!

    Griftith Animal Hospital
They were my veterinarian. They get you in, especially if it is an emergency. They do follow ups too. They have had a change in doctors since I was last there. It is very clean. If somebodies pet has an accident they are out there to clean it up and sanitize real quick.

At Your Bark-N-Call Bed & Bath Inc
Bob, our dog, initially met the staff. He was very happy to meet everyone. We watch from the next door lot. They were very careful to introduce him to the other dogs. The staff was great. They were reasonably priced and exceeded expectations. Bob is very important to us. We felt very confident in Bark n Call.

I have been going there since 1988. She is very friendly and knowledgable about animals. My chihuahua broke his leg. She tried to save it but the leg had to be amputated. She gives me a discount for multiply animals. She is a very nice person and I love her to death.

This is the second time that we have left our beagle and coonhound dogs here. The first time was May 2011 for 12 days and the second one was April 2012 for 10 days. The place is amazing! Adam, the owner, treats our dogs as special as we do. He knows that they are part of our family. The dogs have plenty of room in their indoor pens and the outdoor pens, where the dogs can enjoy the day, are huge. There is also a nature trail that your dogs can walk through and a play yard where they can get exercise. The dogs enjoy being there and it makes it easier leaving them because we know Adam will be taking excellent care of them while we are away.

    Lake Station Pet Clinic
When I moved to Lake Station, I chose them as they were close and a friend said they were good with his pets.

My first visit was, unfortunately, due to my precious MamaCat having difficulties from her Leukemia. They were compassionate and caring, explaining all of the treatment options available. They did what they could, but her disease was advanced and she died about a week later. This was not their fault in any way - there is simply not a cure for what she had. But her last days were made more comfortable by the medicines and instructions they gave.

Since then, my other 3 cats have all been there (thankfully none have leukemia or other illness). They are always treated very well and you get the feeling that they put the animals first. These are not people who just push expensive treatments to fill their wallets. They keep track of their immunizations and let me know when new ones are necessary. They answer questions by phone, when possible and have always gotten my furbabies in quickly when necessary.

One of my cats was a shelter animal who experienced a lot of abuse before she was rescued. I worried about taking her to the vet because she had a tendency to nip at people when scared. They knew just how to handle her and she even allowed the Doctor to pick her up! That was just wonderful!

They also stress PREVENTATIVE care, which I really like. It is always better for the animal, not to mention cheaper, to prevent potential problems in the first place. So, they each go there once a year, or more often if something unexpected comes up. Their prices are reasonable, their staff is friendly and professional and their facilities are very clean. I definitely recommend them.
