Drywall reviews in Franklin

    Greenwood Restoration
Based on Ken's other reviews, we selected him for our drywall project even though he didn't come in with the lowest bid. He was quick to respond and provide me a quote. He did show up when he said he would, but our issues came into play when the work was finished. Ken used the paint I wanted for our top coat as a primer coat, without confirming with me what I would like since he deemed that the best option, which left me with $20 in "primer" paint that I didn't want to use for the finished coat. He left several (20-30) easily spottable areas where the texture wasn't completely covered. When I called to ask him to come back out, he obliged but still left many unsatisfactory places. In addition, there are still countless patches of rough, thick drywall that will need more than a "light sanding" as he promised. My last issue with Ken was with his cleanliness, which was an important factor in his reviews that led us to hire him. As a restoration company, I expected a lot more. I understood there would be drywall dust that would take several cleanings to remove, but what I do not understand are the large chunks of drywall mud caking my hardwood floors and stairs. Now I will spent the weekend chipping these off and cleaning up after him. Even my bedroom doors have drywall mud on them, in the shape of his handprint, where he moved the door to access areas behind it. There is drywall mud on the bedspread of our guest bed AND on the guest bed frame, despite the fact that Ken said he would cover everything with plastic for us. When I called Ken to discuss my disappointment, he immediately went on the defense and threatened to sue me if I didn't pay him the next day. He accused me of trying to be "cheap" and not pay him for his work, and that I should "expect 95%, not 100%." He ended the conversation by again threatening to sue me and calling me a liar. i'm thoroughly disappointed by the way Ken treated me, his inability to accept constructive criticism and come to a resolution with me, and his "work" that we will now spend hours finishing up.

I hired Nick to renovate a 1960-built ranch. He and his crew placed aged wood siding with drywall, replaced ceilings, constructed walk-in closets, replaced lighting, reconfigured old kitchen cabinets, installed new cabinets, replaced doors, installed 2700 sq ft of flooring (with associated baseboards), relocated a dryer, installed new water heater, water softner, and toilets, replaced old aluminum siding and soffits with vinyl, installed gutters, and replaced porch support posts. I probably forgot some things, but you get the piture. Nick provided prompt and reasonable estimates. Once the work started, he and his team worked very diligently to complete all the interior work before I moved in. He did a great job communicating and was very flexible with scope changes. We are extremely pleased with the end result, and highly recommend Nick for any job, large or small. I already have my spring projects planned, and hope Nick will be available to complete them!

Anthony was an example of responsiveness and professionalism! Due to an accident, my garage needed immediate attention and he worked with existing customers to help prioritize our repairs. He always returned calls promptly and was excellent at keeping us updated on the progress. His price was in line with the insurance estimate, so we felt it was very fair. The quality of the work was excellent and now the garage looks better than before.

It started out great when I first met Dan from D&R Construction at the house where he was getting the work scope of what we needed done. I immediately trusted him after he shared that he was a Christian and how transparent he seemed after he shared about a traumatic event that their family had gone through a few years back. He also said that they had 25 years of experience in the industry. Then one thing after another happened. His son, who said he was a supervisor, could hardly answer any questions I had regarding the work scope. Him and his other buddy would smoke in the house, which was unprofessional. Dan Sr. was hardly ever around at the worksite to make sure things were being done properly. There was wallpaper in parts of the house and wood paneling, all which I along with a couple of friends removed. D$R was suppose to prep the walls, including drywalling and mudding. I began to remove the wallpaper glue in the main bathroom because I knew that's what you're suppose to do. If you don't have a clean surface, you'd be wasting that paint. One of the other workers told me that they would do that. Wrong. They didn't remove that wallpaper glue at all, they painted right over it so now it is cracking and peeling. Several walls in the home where drywall job is bad along with other places where they decided not to clean but just paint over the dirt and dust. They were told that we would be reusing all the fixtures in the house..they painted over those too! Including light switches and outlets. They even painted the toilet paper holder! I did give Dan Sr crap about that. I'm like, who does that. He said it was a minor thing. Like, why couldn't they have just taped around it? The next day, they took the painted toilet paper holders out and replaced them with new ones. Wow. The grout on the tile floor that was installed is already cracking and breaking and we recently just found out that the wrong size cement board was used under all the tiles. Our garage doors were delayed in being delivered and installed because they were a "special" size. 25 years of experience should tell you that when you bid on a job, you measure everything because you don't want to assume. They trimmed the bottoms of the doors in the house because of the new carpet that got installed. They didn't even bother to sand them down, instead they would get caught on the carpet and start to peel off. They have been paid for their work or whatever you want to call it. The only thing that turned out right is the installment of the new roof because Dan Sr. and his son actually didn't do it themselves. I won't recommend them to anyone. Ever.

    Complete Restoration Services, Inc.
The roof and structural damage was repaired quickly leaving us with a livable house.  The remaining damage was completed as weather permitted.  They replaced insulation, drywall, interior trim, gutters, soffits, and painted the interior walls and trim.  They did some additional work not included in the insurance claim that we paid for.

They kept us informed at all times of what would come next and when it would be done.  The work was completed with very high quality workmanship.  We would like to thank James, Mark, John, Scott, Anthony, and Zach for their excellent work and friendliness.

    DT Drywall
Wonderful! DT Drywall is the epitome of gracious and excellent workmanship! Four visits were needed to finish our work, and the owner himself did our work. What a great experience with this company. Everything went smoothly (or so it seemed), and the results could not be better! We are remodeling and DT Drywall did all the drywall work. I would not hesitate to have them back. As a matter of fact, we will absolutely call them the next time we, or someone we know needs drywall help. AAA company.

    Fine Painting Inc
Fine Painting came in and repaired my walls, fixed the other flaws, and painted my walls and ceiling. They did an excellent job! The workers arrived on time, did an excellent job, and even stayed a couple of hours later just so I could have my family room back to normal before the Thanksgiving holiday. My husband and I were very impressed and would certainly have them back to our home for future repair and paint jobs.
