    Michael Clore is my agent and he is great! If he is not available when I call, he promptly reaches back out to me. I have had American Family Insurance since I can remember and they have never let me down. Years ago our van and boat caught on fire while on a trip. American Family handled the claim expeditiously. This was very much appreciated since the experience was devastating. I highly recommend Michael Clores American Family Insurance Agency.

    Williams Insurance
    We contacted Barbara Williams on 4/14/09 to let her know we no longer needed the liability insurance and requested a refund for the unused portion of the policy (I never received a policy, only a certificate of insurance). She called later that day to let us know she had put a check in the mail for the refund. On 4/28/09 we attempted to contact Barbara Williams again because we had not received the check she put in the mail. She emailed us back on 4/30/09 and said she sent a certified check in the mail on 4/29/09. We contacted Barbara Williams on 5/04/09 to let her know that we never received her certified check in the mail and that we also needed a copy of our canceled policy since we never received the original insurance policy. We also suggested that she deliver the check in person. Her reply was to fax us a copy of the receipt of the check that had been sent certified mail on 4/30/09 and that she would bring us a check sometime on 5/05/09. Instead of waiting on her to bring us the check we made a surprise visit to her office where she gave us a check for the refund ($611.00) dated 5/05/09. Today, 5/05/09 the check was presented for payment at Chase Bank. The check was written on a Chase Bank account and when trying to cash the check we were told that we there was a problem with this bank account and we needed to contact the person who had given us the check. Barbara Williams was called and she is now suppose to deliver a Cashiers check. Barbara Williams delivered the Cashiers check before noon on 5/05/09. She put the check in an envelope. We looked over the check as she was driving away and found that she had not signed it. We stopped her and had her sign the check. When at the local Fifth Third Bank where the Cashiers check was purchased we were told we had to pay an $8.00 fee to cash the check because we didn't have an account with Fifth Third Bank. After letting the cashier know we had no intention of paying any fee to cash a Cashiers check from their bank we walked out with $615.00. This is not over yet. We still haven't received a canceled insurance policy to see what we had purchased from Barbara Williams or if we ever covered by liability insurance.

    I don't know who I am more disappointed with, the local agency or the other company. In 4 years our rates almost tripled. While the local agent and staff was friendly, there are ZERO help. The former provider's customer service is no better. Last year we switched to another very well respected insurance company and other agent. With the same coverages (some even better) our rates dropped by more then 50%. Our new agent is more helpful. I would not recommend the former agency or the Whitman agency to anyone. Oh, and one last note. When I called to cancel all my policies, no one asked me why. Never a call or follow-up from anyone at the former agency or the local agency.

    Tim is awesome! I told him I was supposed to pick up my new vehicle after work, but I needed to get insurance, so I could get the plates Saturday morning. His office isn't open on Saturday, and Tim offered to stay late and wait for me to get there, so I could pick up my proof of insurance. He had the cards and everything ready for me when I walked in the door. Wrote a check, and was on my way in less than 10 minutes. He made it possible for me to get my vehicle plated, so I would have to worry about getting pulled over and having to show all my paperwork.....

    I walked in with no appointment, he helped me right away, and quoted me within 20 minutes for everything. I didn't have the VIN number with me so I had to come back and pick up the insurance cards, but I would have walked out with them at that time if I had that information with me. They gave me a bag of goodies when I picked up my cards, and had no problem quoting me with other things. He called me this past week on my birthday and wished me a Happy Birthday!
