Dog Grooming reviews in Fort Wayne

Absolute worst dog grooming experience we've ever had in multiple cases with Joanna's Animal Grooming Salon. Not necessarily because of the quality of the work but because of the lack of effort of the staff to follow grooming instructions provided by the customer. We took our dog multiple times to this groomer and each time they were instructed NOT to do any additional cutting or trimming of the fur besides potty area. Each and every time our dog was returned with a shave in the face and paws among the potty areas. When calling to discuss why instructions were not followed, the staff blamed us for not explicitly stating not to cut or trim the face or paws... Which is ridiculous because the instructions were not to cut or trim ANYTHING besides potty area... The staff stated that the face and paws are part of their bathing process and it's our fault for not explicitly stating not to cut or trim the face and/or paws... Which is completely asinine given our instructions. When pointing this out to the staff I was quickly transferred to the owner then asked not to return as a customer (which I had no intentions of anyway). The way we were treated was absolutely absurd. DO NOT recommend unless you are ok with the staff grooming however they please despite your wishes. Not to mention some of the rudest staff we've ever experienced.

    Barkefellers Northeast
I always seem to procrastinate getting by dog's hair cut. My schedule is irregular and can be hard to plan ahead for the few hours needed. I've been looking for a new groomer since my last one moved away. I called Barkefellers NE and was thrilled to get an appointment for the next day. I knew they would likely be a little higher in cost but it was worth it if I could get last minute appointments and they did a good job.
Overall, I was very disappointed with the experience. Arriving for the appointment, the groomer came out to meet me and ask about how I like her hair cut. I asked for her legs and stomach to be shaved short (she's small and snow will clump the longer hair). I also pointed out her ears. Her allergies have been bad this fall and when scratching she occasionally gets her nails caught in her longer ears. One ear was missing a significant chunk out of it. I asked her to even the two sides out.
When I returned, a receptionist went to get my dog for me. I've never had a groomer not bring her out after an appointment to ensure everything was right and let me know how she did, a service I definitely expected for the higher cost. I noticed right away that her ears were not evened out but I let it go, happy enough to have it done. However, when I got home and looked further I noticed other things as well. Her belly was shaved but her legs were still left longer. There were areas on the edge of her belly where tufts of hair were matted. This tells me that she wasn't blown dry properly after bathing. This is really unacceptable for the cost. There are a lot of great reviews on here but maybe I just got a bad groomer. Regardless, for the cost I won't be giving them a second try.

I love this place. There is always someone there to oversee and there are a lot of animities. Report at end of stay let's you know how it went. I honestly believe my timid Lab came back less so.

    Coral Springs Animal Hospital
My husband and I are new to the Fort Lauderdale area and had not established a vet for my 3 toy poodles. Last week I noticed bloody stool from my littlest/youngest baby Coco. I first noticed the bloody stool late afternoon around 2p. Her demeanor was normal, so I began to keep a strict eye on her. At around 5p she began vomiting and the diarrhea continued without letup. Unsure what to do, I decided to wait it out and see if she would improve on her own. Unfortunately this did not happen, instead her symptoms continued and become worse. I stayed up with her all night waiting until the local vet office's starting opening.
After speaking with one veterinary office (not at all impressed with the customer service) they advised me to take her to an urgent care facility. I then settled on Coral Springs Animal Hospital (found on Angie's List) and brought her in.
I was so embarrassed because it has been so long since she was groomed due to our current financial issues and she looked horrible! Not only that, she is not current with her vaccines. However, they made me feel comfortable. My little one was first seen by Dr. Haley Johnson and she was amazing!!
As soon as they seen her, they immediately took her back to the critical care unit and began treating her. By this time she was severely dehydrated and knocking on deaths door. After discussing our financial limitations, Dr. Johnson took the time to make certain adjustments and only preform treatment(s) that were necessary at the time. She showed so much kindness and understanding it really touched my heart!
After the first day and into the second day, my little Coco was then given over to Dr. Tatiana De Oliveira (due to Dr. Johnson's shift/day off). Dr. De Oliveria was very kind and understanding as well. She was completly up to date on Coco and understood our financial issues as well. She also did her best to keep cost(s) down and at the same time gave my baby the best care!
I cannot thank the staff enough for the kindness and care they showed Coco and I!!
They went above and beyond to help and do what they could. An example of this is: one of the nurses that had her dog in at the same time as Cocco, let us use her personal equipment (glucometer) to help save costs. What a kind thing to do!!!! I wish I knew her name, so that I could make mention of her personally.
Also, one nurse (Erika Sanchez) loving put a little bow in her hair to uncover her eyes so Coco could see better.
Some may say "So what?", but this little action shows how much love the staff has for our four legged babies!
They let me come in during the day to see her and again at night they let my husband and I come to visit.
While visiting, I took note in how the staffed handled all the other animals that were in the critical care unit and I cannot express how amazed I was in how they talk/deal with the animal patients!! I observed nothing, but kindness and love as well as the wonderful care they ALL provided for them!
Also I wanted to thank Saleena at the front desk for all her help she provided and Claudia in financing for her assistance!
I will, without a doubt, be returning to this establishment and bringing all my little ones there for their future care. I will recommend this place to anyone I meet! I hope this review finds its way to all involved to remind them that all of their hard work and care does not go unnoticed and is very much appreciated!
Thank you for all your efforts and care for my little Coco!!!

    Dupont Animal Care Center
They asked how I wanted my dog trimmed even though she goes there every 6-weeks. Their prices are reasonable, the place is extremely clean and they are receptive to my requests at grooming. If I ask to pick her up early they say they'll try and they always call me by the time asked for. I also board her there because they have very clean kennels and if any personal item left there gets soiled, they will wash it. Buttons (my dog's name) doesn't always eat when left at the kennel but they work with her and I pay extra for a walk and play time. They do have concrete floors but I bring a bed and blanket and have always gotten everything back.

We groomed our dogs with them twice, & attempted a third time.
The first time had appointment at 7:00 AM & the groomer was about 10 minutes late.  No big deal, Groomer said would take 3 - 4 hours.  Dog was ready at noon, did not complain life is busy I understand.  Grooming was good, but a little expensive at $69.
The second time we made an appointment for our smaller dog at 7 AM.   Dropped her off & again was told 3-4 hours.  This time I called around noon, they said she was not ready yet, but should be soon.  Got the call to pick her up around 2:00 PM. Again I didn't complain because I understand there is a need to be flexible.
The reason I am writing  this review is because of what happened today.  We had an appointment at the same time (7:00 AM) for our larger dog.  My wife was running late & didn't drop her off until 8:30.  She was told by Bobbie that the appointment was cancelled after she was 1/2 hour late.  That was it, no open appointments for rest of the week & we were going on vacation the next week as my wife explained.  Bobbie did offer to call us if there was a cancellation.
Although I understand this is probably corporate policy,  I was upset they did not try to accommodate us in some way.  Just poor customer service when considering we were forced to rearrange our schedules for them on the previous two visits when they were running HOURS late/behind.
As a result - we will not return, to be fair the grooming job was OK, if a little expensive.

Dog was happy and well taken care of while I was out of town. Pampered Pets also provided him with a bath, nails trimmed, ears cleaned and brushed his teeth. He is a smooth coated dog so no cutting is necessary. He was ready when I arrived with a beautiful looking coat.

    The Pink Poodle
They always do a excellent job, very professional. We also take our 13 year old dog (she to is on an 8 week schedule). I have been to several groomers in the past and found that The Pink Poodle is the right fit for us.

    Wigglebutz Grooming and Boarding
I like the special attention they give him. I like the fact that they know their customers. After the second or third time of visit, they know me by name. They always smile without telling them. They are just very friendly, very confident, do what they say what they are going to do and when they are going to do it. I have recommended them to several people. They take good care of my baby.

    The Hairy Dog
She was shampooed twice and hand/towel dried.  Her nails were trimmed and ears cleaned.  This was all completed in a 3 hour time frame.  When I picked her up she even had a nice little bandanna -- showing off her new doo
