The work preformed was very well done, on time and on budget. They managed to keep a very messy project to where it did not affect the rest of the home. Very pleased. We used a year later to add a third car garage and did a very good job on that as well. We also have used them to replace windows, doors and painting.

I had an old Genie garage door opener that was on its last legs. I called several places, and the pricing for Perfection was right in the middle. Nathan was responsive, punctual and professional. He had the older opener out and the new one installed in less than an hour. He came out the next week to swap out the standard wall unit with an upgraded one that has a Vacation setting and a few other features.
I especially appreciated that, even though he told me the door was pretty out of balance, he didn't try to sell me into having anything done at that time and instead just recommended I have it re-balanced when I need a spring replaced.
I would highly recommend Perfection to anyone needing work on their garage doors and openers.

I signed up for the $49 roof inspection and minor tune-up special. They showed up quickly and performed the inspection. I was provided with several options ranging from the cost to replace the roof to a mid-range maintenance plan, down to the $49 tune-up. I selected the $49 option. They came out and sealed all of the roof penetrations which was more than I expected. I definitely got my money's worth. The work was of high quality and they were very professional. I will seek them out when the roof needs replacing in a couple of years.

    Myers Construction
Myers finished the work in a timely manner for the price quoted.  They were punctual and pleasant to work with.  The owner, Matt Myers, met with us to plan the project, he designed the addition and supervised the work.  Perhaps most importantly, while working on the project he spotted a potential problem with the existing garage and suggested a very reasonable fix to the problem that probably saved us from future problems.  When he pointed out the issue, it was clear that it was not "make work", but a real problem that needed to be fixed.  We have been very pleased with the garage work and have used him for other projects.  Myers Construction is not likely to be the lowest cost contractor, but his work is very good, his crews are professional and he pays close attention to detail.

    Springer Construction Inc.
I called Springer construction for a free estimate on a 4 car garage.  Duane came over and we discussed the particulars of the project (dimensions, number of windows, electrical, entry doors, car doors, etc) and Duane took some measurements.  He mentioned at this time that there was a $250 fee for the drawing that would be done professionally by an architect and would satisfy all applicable building codes.  He said that this fee would be applied to the principle if selecting Springer to do the work.  Although I thought I understood what he meant, I apparently did not.

About 2 weeks later I got an email from Duane with an attachment saying:? Chris, Please print out, read, sign, and date the attached form. Please send the signed form and the $250.00 check to our address provided below. We are currently working on your drawings. Once we receive the signed form and your payment, we will send you the drawings for your approval and then move on to your estimate. ?

I responded the same day explaining that I was only interested in the free quote at this time and that the fee would not be an issue if I were to decide to use Springer as a contractor.

Duane wrote me back the next day saying: ?Chris:  We would like to give you a Free estimate, But we do have to limit the time we spend on every drawing/ schematic. I hesitate to give an estimate on a project that I am not sure is what you really want. This is why we charge a small fee for the drawing/ schematic. If I give you an estimate on a garage and it is not what you want. Then  I have to start the process all over again. This wasting the time I have already spent quoting your project.  I did say let you know that if you choose Springer Construction for the project we would remove the fee.  Sorry for the inconvenience. If you decide to pay the fee I would be glad to send a schematic  to you for your inspection and approval. Thanks?

I confirmed with the receptionist that the estimate was free, I confirmed with Duane in person that the estimate was free, and there is a ?FREE ESTIMATE? link on the Springer website.  Trying to charge me for a free estimate is shady business and I will never hire this company based upon that principle alone.

All quotes within this narrative are taken directly from either the Springer website, or the email that Duane personally sent to me.

They supported the house, removed the old walls and footer of the basement and the re-poured the new walls and footer and the new basement for the addition, and set the house back down on the new wall.  Then he built the room addition which has a master bedroom, master bath and closet, half bath and laundry room. They made sure that everything was to what we wanted. They also installed a garage to the house which was not there before. Put a 20' by 20' concrete approach to the garage. They also put a new roof on the old house to match the additions an they wrapped the whole house in vinyl siding and new gutters. They replaced the old front porch with a new one, leaving the brick column intact. They were careful to try and not damage any of the old part of the home that we had already refinished. We had them install pocket doors that matched the old doors in the house and we finished them to match the old part of the house. The room addition turned out great and we could not be happier.  Going from 1 bathroom to 2 1/2 bathrooms with kids in a older home is great. We were able to with their help find a walk-in shower that has made my wife very happy. They work hard to make sure that you are truly happy and satisfied.  They are good hard working people.

This job was for a two car garage. Building, roof and drainage only. The grading, drainage and concrete work was great.
We got an original estimate in 2011. We postponed the work until 2012. The bid went up $1000.00. That was fine with us. A June start date turned into an Aug. date, and then Sept. and finally work was started end of Oct.
We were OK with June being pushed back, we were concerned when Sept. rolled around.
One day they came and started putting up house wrap. They ran out. We couldn't believe they didn't go to any local hardware store and buy the small amount to finish the job. It took them 3 days to return.
They put wrap on roof and we found out that it leaked. We had a metal coated roof put on to match existing house. My husband had to go online and read about why it may be leaking. The site said if the roof was a certain pitch then a double layer of roof wrap was requried. They came back and put on another layer.
We found numerous nails in and around driveway after job was finished.
We think they may have had to many jobs scheduled. They would come and work part of a day and then we wouldn't see them for several days or a week. A steady one week or less job turned into a three week job.
My husband found Steve Smucker to have good problem solving skills.

    Backyard Storage Creations
Everything went very well, we were surprised when they called early and said they had an opening the next morning so they showed up about a week earlier than scheduled.  They arrived right on time at 8 am and started unloading.  Within a few hours the unit was just about done and they completed entire unit in roughly 4 hours.
The job site was clean when they left and they were very professional and friendly.

He was happy to work with us to customize it to meet our association restrictions. We paid the deposit, scheduled a date and he came and built it as promised and it came out great!  He's great to work with.

Rick has a great attitude. No job is too small or seemingly too large. I initially hired him just to help me out with all those small jobs that were hard for me to do myself and in the process found a wonderful carpenter who will be a wonderful asset for future projects. Good, good guy! $35 an hour is a little high in my opinion, but he works efficiently. I don't know - that could be the going rate. I tried contacting others and they took so long to get back to me that I decided just to give Rick and crack at it and see how it went. It went very well.
