REIMBOLD & ANDERSON, Ameriprise Financial Services
We have been working with Reimbold and Anderson for about 7 years.
John and Terry have done a very good job helping guide us with their financial planning and investment services. They are very professional and really listen to our needs.
The Reimbold and Anderson staff folks are very competent and thorough. They always ensure that things are taken care of promptly and correctly.

I met with Mike Albertson, the company president, for a free financial planning session which included asset assessment and retirement planning.  He was very knowledgeable, professional, and made the material easy to understand. I really appreciated his assistance and would highly recommend his services to others.  The other staff members I have dealt with in his office have always been polite, knowledgable, and helpful.

    Lifelock
After waiting over a month, the refund never showed up. I called Lifelock twice and was told both times that they had issued the refund and there was nothing else they could do. I had Chase investigate this and they found no evidence that Lifelock ever tried to refund anything. So, I am caught in-between two big companies, with each pointing the finger of blame at the other. If you plan to use Lifelock I recommend you investigate what exactly they will be doing for you (not much anymore) and make sure you do not plan to cancel. If your experience is like mine you will never see your refund. BUYER BEWARE!

    CPA Group
I returned to Tom's office in August 2009 with organized and tallied receipts for 2007 and 2008. We filed extensions for 2008 and the deadline to file the 2008 tax return was Oct. 15, 2009. I gave his receptionist the paperwork. After two weeks, I called and spoke with the receptionist to obtain an update. I was told that Tom had not finished our taxes. I called three weeks later and spoke with the receptionist for a second time. Again, the taxes were not done. The third call was placed on Oct. 15th. I asked when I could pick-up the taxes since the 15th was the last deadline. I was able to speak with Tom this time. He said that neither our 2007, nor our 2008 taxes, were ready and he would be unable to complete them that day. I informed Tom, that he has had our taxes since August and I have called twice to follow up and no one told me that our taxes would not be ready by the federal deadline. I told him that we will have a penalty if the taxes are not filed today. Tom then offered to pay the late penalty. I asked that he put that in writing and I would accept the terms. Tom stated that he would not put it in writing. He then offered to prepare our taxes for free, due to the inconvenience, and we would be able to pick them up later that day. When we picked up the taxes we had a $14k+ tax burden. I told Tom, that he missed some important information that would significantly reduce our tax burden. Tom advised me to mail the taxes and then he would file an amendment in a couple of weeks. In November 2009, almost a month later, I called and left a message on a Friday for Tom to return my call concerning the amendments. I did not receive a return call. I called back on the following Tuesday and requested that Tom return my call. Again, I did not receive a return call from Tom. The following Friday, I dropped by his office without an appointment to meet with Tom about the 2007 and 2008 tax amendments. Tom was reluctant to meet with me. He wanted to have a discussion about my taxes right there in his small lobby. I asked if we could go to his office. Once in his office, I asked Tom why he had not returned my calls. Tom stated that he had been busy. I said that he could have at least called to state that he would get back with me. Tom shrugged his shoulders and stared at me blankly. Then Tom informed me that he still had not done amended our 2007 and 2008 tax returns. He said he did not know when he would get to them, it could be in a couple of weeks. When I expressed concern about the 14k tax bill, Tom stated that there is no big hurry for the 2008 tax amendment, that I needed to wait for things to "settle down." Tom's demeanor was defensive and he lacked empathy for the entire situation. Tom did not say this directly, but judging from his attitude and behavior, he seemed to be of the opionon that he did not have an obligation to me because he did our 2008 taxes for free--forgetting that they were free because it was his fault to begin with, plus they were wrong. The meeting with Tom was very cold and unfriendly. I told Tom that we should just both cut our losses and part ways. Tom was more than happy to oblige. Tom never apologized for giving us the run around for the last 4 months. He could have cared less and he made sure I knew it. As of today, I have a new tax accountant and I will have to pay $300 to have my 2008 tax returns amended and $300 for the 2007 amendment. I have already received a letter from the IRS about our 2008 returns and they now want 15k. The new accountant says I can pick up my taxes in a couple of weeks. The experience with Tom Grant, at the CPA Group was horrific. I don't think Tom took his fiduciary responsibility seriously and his dismissive attitude was like pouring salt on a wound.

    PROFED FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
My dad had an account with ProFed and when I took over guardianship for him I had a lot of planning to do. They were so nice and professional at all the branches that after Dad's stuff was done we closed our general credit union account and opened a ProFed account. Then we wanted to refinance our mortgage and their rates were great, much better than another bank. We are currently in the process of refinancing with them. They have so many apps that they are backed up.
