    Honorable Home Repairs
I telephoned Honorable Home Repair Dennis Hughes regarding a 1930 bungalow home that I recently purchased and wanted a remodeling estimate for the above upgrades to the property. It starting well in the living room area as removing the hardwood flooring was a physical task but with the help of Robert, that's Dennis Hughes employed helper the old flooring was removed. Dennis then began installing the 5/8 inch tongue and groove plywood subflooring in living room area meanwhile using his level, and two by four shim's to level the flooring surface and buy using a carpenter's level to ensure a level surface for the bamboo flooring. I read Mr. Hughes' reviews and he is experienced at installing new flooring, however things took a turn downward when he got into the master bedroom it's' just not level and when I got my contracter level out to show him that the flooring was not level he gave me an odd reply that the foundation must be bad, the house was inspected by a professional house inspector and I was ensured the foundation is in good condition. Now what am I supposed to do? in my humble opinion the flooring should be carefully removed and the living room, small hallway, two small bedrooms subflooring removed and carefully, and professionally level on the diagonal and level on the right angles. This subfloor must be contracter level at all angles please. I need my home as soon as possible to live in and for $4,800 dollars I want a level floor in my home! I'm not sure what more I can do to get this company to admit the subfloor (at least in the master bedroom, my bedroom) is not level and that this is unacceptable! I am not happy with Dennis regarding the installation and the correct method of shimming floor joist in a home for the installation of modern flooring.

Work was done in a timely manner and I'm satisfied with the work. Dennis' nephew called the morning the work was scheduled and said they were delayed on another job and couldn't come until Monday. Dennis called and said he would be out within a half hour and would do the work as originally scheduled.

    Brian's Painting
My husband and I are extremely satisfied on the painting job that we hired Brian on. I was nervous at the beginning of our search for someone to paint our house because we had never had this done before and it seemed like a big job being wood siding. Brian's pricing was very fair and he was very personable. He was not pushy at all like others I've come across when doing an estimate. He had great communication throughout the entire process. He was very detailed from the beginning to the end and we knew exactly what the plan was, how long it would take and what each step he was on, and what his plan was for the upcoming step.  I had picked out colors that I wanted to use, I was a little unsure of the hue of it, but he made me feel very confident in my choice and assured me that the colors I chose would look excellent on my home. He was always there if I had a question or concern about any steps on the process. After he was finished, I couldn't believe this was my house and how beautiful and different in looked in a great way of course. I continue to get compliments from my neighbors, friends and family on how great it looks. I can't thank him enough for the great job he did and know that my husband and I made the best decision having him paint our home.

    Old Fort Roofing LLC
I had phoned three contractors and requested estimates for the work.  One contractor reported that he had all the work he could handle and wouldn't be able to take on this job.  Another contractor did not respond by phone until about three weeks after I phoned.
Only Old Fort Roofing was interested in taking on the job.  When Scott cam and looked at the situation to develop a bid, he told me what he planned to do and the estimated cost.  Old Fort Roofing sent me its bid, which I accepted.  I specified that the work was to be done after -07-11.  Alex scheduled the work for -07-14 at 9:00 AM.
Scott and Alex arrived at 8:50 AM and had the old asphalt siding removed in about 45 minutes.
The doors are 40 inches wide, but the shingles to be used are only 36 inches wide.  Scott worked quickly and expertly.  On every row of shingles, he trimmed and butt-joined pieces as necessary to cover the width of 40 inches.  I watched him do this, and I just went and looked.  I cannot see the joints.
Both Scott and Alex were careful to collect all the removed and scrapped material ? including the nails they removed.
I'm thoroughly satisfied with Scott and Alex' work for Old Fort Roofing and will readily recommend Old Fort Roofing.

After seeking and reviewing several estimates we selected Old Fort Roofing to replace the roof on our house.  Price across the estimates was very close, so the deciding factor was that Old Fort seemed genuinely interested in the work.  Old Fort?s representative, Scott Mumma took time to explain the process and tell us how they would correct some issues in the original roofing job.  (The original roofing had shingles that actually directed runoff water up against our siding.)  Our original start day was postponed due to weather, but once the team arrived the work went very fast.  The original shingles were removed and new felt and shingles put down.  This work including a very meticulous cleanup was done in less than 8 hours.  Scott came back and did a walk through to check the work and see if we were satisfied.  We had one issue about 3 weeks after the installation involving some loose fascia which may have been caused by high winds.  When we called Scott  he responded quickly and fixed the issue for us within 2 hours at no charge.

Arrived on time, was responsive to my questions (I always have a lot).  Took pictures of all areas which he saw that he felt need attention and e-mailed them to me the next day with a quote.  He began the job when he said he would and kept me informed of what was going on and continued to be responsive to my questions.  The work was done well and in a timely fashion.
I would use him again in a heartbeat if I needed something done.

    Honorable Home Repairs
The new roof membrane and stone removal went well and I am quite relieved that I'm finally rid of the leaky roof.  During the roofing process the damaged carport ceiling plywood was removed and replaced.   The paint was matched perfectly and after adding 2 coats more than expected looks brand new.  In between the above repairs drywall cracks and bubbling were mudded and sanded.  Aside from an abundance of white dust from the sanding, I am happy with the results.  The screen and trim replacement were done exceptionally well and I'm very happy with the results.  NO more bird nests with the resulting mess they cause!!  Towards the finalization of the repairs they installed a bathroom faucet that was a last minute add on. This is the second time I have hired this company.  Two of the owner's nephews completed 98% of the work with the owner checking periodically.  They both were experienced in many areas of home repair and were a pleasure to have around. They were very considerate and polite.  After 3 weeks of work I felt like I needed to schedule a family reunion..lol.  All debris was removed and disposed of properly.  I would recommend to them that during mudding and sanding, a sheet of plastic be placed over nearby furniture.  Other than that I really have absolutely no complaints.   I would once again recommend Honorable Home Repairs for ANY repair needing done.  They will be doing another small job for me in the next couple weeks and I plan on hiring them again in the spring for more repairs and remodeling.

They can do anything; they have a crew that can do carpentry and everything.  They did a beautiful job on my porch.  I always recommend them to everybody.  I thought the price was very reasonable.

We were satisfied with the end result but we had a lot of issues throughout. The timing was not good. They were really delayed from the contract. It was over 1 1/2 months. The pricing was competitive. We would probably use them again.
