Scott called me back within just a few hours and came out to diagnose the issue that same day. He came back out just a few days later to fix our leak for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend reaching out to Scott if you have any type of leak in your basement.

Scott called the same day I requested a quote and came out the same day as well. Diagnosed the problem, showed it to me, and fixed it over the next week or so, having to take multiple steps to do so. We've tested it out by running my water spicket multiple times full blast for 20 minutes right next to the window, and no water! Scott clearly knows what he's doing. Would definitely hire him again and recommend him to anyone with a challenging water issue.

The owner, Scott, was professional and very responsive. My issue occurred on a Friday and he promptly returned my call and made arrangements to assess my issue that Monday. He called the day before, Sunday, and said he could do the work now since four days of rain was in the forecast. Wow! I can't tell you the relief I am feeling right now. I was a nervous wreck with all the rain coming. I cannot recommend this company enough. I believe his pricing was extremely fair, and he said he performs the work like "it was his own home." I believe him. I hope I never need their services again, but if I do, I will not hesitate to contact Scott.

I cannot say enough about Scott Vallieres and the work he performed at our home. We had just gone thru 4 days of rain and our basement carpet was saturated. Scott came out Friday and found the problem, I worked all weekend drying the mess out and called him Monday to see when he could come. I wanted to get this done before the next rain. Scott called me and said he could come that afternoon...same day! He repaired the crack and after a two inch rain Monday night we are bone dry! Extremely professional craftsman that truly knows what he is doing!!!

    Wharff Excavating LLC
Our lower level had been experiencing water problems after severe rains. Two years ago, I hired a less-than-professional outfit to fix the problem--only to find out that they had made the problem worse. When the problem recurred, I researched Angie's List to make sure I had the right company to do the job. When Matt Warff looked at the situation, he knew immediately what to do. His crew was very professional and walked me through every detail of the job. They went way beyond what the project called for--even removing a bed of ground cover! I certainly don't mind paying for such excellent work. Wharff was the best choice for this job!

First of all, it started with the very competitive bid, that was not only 25% lower than the next closest bid from a reputable Water Proofing company, but also provided 5 year warranties on the sump pumps compared to a 1 year warranty from that same competitor, as well as a text alert system that sends me, my wife and ARW a text message if any of the sump pumps ever fail.
Additionally, the bid also included the installation of 2 underground rain gutter downspouts extended 15' out from the house. Something the competitors bid did not include. So not only did i spend less with ARW, but they offered more for my money than their competitors.

Secondly, the 2 main individuals who did most of the work on the project had been working for ARW for several years. One individual in particular had been with the company for over 6 years and the level of commitment and dedication to my project was evident from the start as every day i came home from work, he showed and explained to me everything that had been done that day. Including additional work needed because of the unique basement layout that has 2 levels and has footers that are bigger and thicker than most footers ARW encounters because my house was built in the 50's. The two main workers were not only very knowledgeable, but were very personable and polite and easy to work with. Their work also included having to remove an older, previously installed drainage system that added to their workload. But in spite of the extra time and labor involved in dealing with these unexpected issues, ARW did not come back and ask for more money. They stuck to the original quote and provided all the extra work without charging any extra. I was really impressed with that!

Overall, i could not have asked for a better experience or a better result working with ARW for the installation of a quality, superior Interior Drainage and Water Proofing system for my entire Basement that covered over 165' linear feet. I would not hesitate to use them again if i ever own another house that needs an Interior drainage and water proofing system and would highly recommend ARW for any of the services that they offer with complete confidence! My wife and I get to enjoy the peace and security knowing that our basement is guaranteed to be dry and problem free for a lifetime! Thank you ARW!

A leak started around our basement sewer pipe, where the pipe goes through the concrete wall.  We called Scott, as we had previously used him for other basement work.  Scott packed and sealed the area around the sewer pipe.  Not quite 2 years later, when it rained it leaked a little more in the same spot.  We called Scott back and he came out to take a look.  He ended up chiseling out the original patch, repacked the area, and resealed around the pipe.  A minor leak started at that same spot about year after that.

Scott came back out and decided to attack the problem from the outside...thinking that there might possibly be a hairline crack in the concrete.  He dug up nearly 3 feet of ground outside the house to get to the pipe, then sealed the area with hydraulic cement, membrane, and black patch, around the sewer pipe entry.  Scott's thought was that it was a problem on the outside, since he felt he had packed/patched it well on the inside. He thought the builders probably didn't patch it very well when they built the house. Once Scott was finished with the patching, he put back everything beautifully.  No problems with the landscaping or grass.  I appreciate such attention to detail and respect for my property.  I feel the job was done thoroughly and professionally.

This is not the first time we had called Scott.  He had injected two other poured basement cracks that had developed small leaks. We've been leak free in those cracks for 12 years now.  Scott stayed on the leak and even honored the warranty after it ran out...and at no cost to us.  Scott cherishes his reputation, and I hope other customers would give Scott a call when they have a basement leak.

    The visit went extremely well.
Scott and Jordan carefully evaluated the situation and found my problem was actually a leak in the kitchen sink.
Took almost an hour to review every possibility.
Being clueless about such issues I could(and would have paid)  for a suggested repair.
His through review found the problem.
Excellent professional manner and customer service.
While I hope to not need his services, I would not hesitate to use his firm.

I thought long and hard before writing my review of ARW because I knew my review would not be favorable.  But in the end I felt that if it were me, I would want to know.  And as far as having A ratings, you may look at MY review history and see that I am not just some hard-to-please customer.  I did, however, list the price incorrectly as $375.00 on my review.  They ORIGINALLY wanted $375.00 for the pump but I told them I would not pay more than $300.00 for a 1/2 HP pump.  I did not "eagerly accept" an Angie's List discount or an 'ON CALL' discount (this is the first I have heard of this).   And as far as an Angie's List Discount goes -- the truth is that I simply would not pay more than $300.00 for a sump pump -- ANY sump pump.    This salesman WOULD NOT LEAVE MY HOUSE until he sold me something.  No mention was made to me that it was a cheap Utilitech pump I was receiving; plus, I had a friend on speakerphone with me when the salesman was at my house and writing up the order. It was NOT made perfectly clear that I was not receiving a Blue Angle pump -- my paperwork just says "sump pump"!   Mr. Bird was not even present during most of the dealings with me.  I was never given an 'ON CALL' discount.  No one ever called me to set up an appointment -- they just showed up.    The salesman told me he had to check with the owner, Mr. Bird, about the Monday install, and that someone would call me.  Nobody did.  I gave no one permission to come underneath my house on that Monday!  When the salesman left that prior Thrusday, the plan was for him to check with the owner about Monday and someone to call me back to schedule the appointment.  Then they replaced the wrong sump pump even when I told them I thought it was the wrong pump they were replacing!  I didn't have any problems at all with that pump until they removed it and put it back.  And I found it interesting that when I asked the salesman to email me the pictures he took of my crawlspace floor joists, that the ONLY picture he could not find was of the mold he said I had..... that, and with having other professionals tell me I did not have a mold problem, didn't sound right to me.
Yes, I had/have 2 sump pumps installed in 5-gallon buckets.  I'll bet there are thousands of homeowners who have their pumps in a bucket of some sort.
In closing, I have to say that when I hired this contractor, all I wanted was an inspection and possibly (probably) a new sump pump.  I knew that one of mine had stopped working at some point because I no longer heard it running.  I've gotten several estimates and I have since had a perimeter drain installed in my crawlspace by another company.  The only reason I am responding back  is because it is Mr. Bird who has "chosen to mix some truth with absolute falsehoods".
