Robert came out (actually early which was great!) and got back to me with a quote that night. It was the cheapest quote i had received so I emailed him back to make sure it was everything I needed done. He assured me it was. He's coming back over to reassure me things will be done to get the house ready to sell. While he was doing the estimate we spoke about other projects that I need done and I'll be having him give me a quote on that as well.

I hired him because he had such good reviews on Angie's list. I informed the contractor how to install the shower door and in what direction the door would open. I assumed I would not have to watch over him. I then left him for a few hours. Later I checked the work and I realized immediately the door handle was on the wrong side therefore causing the door to open in the wrong direction. He insisted on saying that was the way I wanted the door, which was a complete lie, because the towel rack was on the opposite side. That would have made no sense to have the door installed that way. I think he knew the way I wanted it installed, but half way through he realized he messed up and did not want to redo the work, hoping I would not notice or care. He suggested that we can move the towel rack to the other side. Right then I knew that he knew, he messed up. The door did not line up properly on the bottom. As soon as I would have taken a shower the water would have went on the floor because of the gap. It went from a big gap to a narrow gap as you run your finger down between the glass door and frame. I also hired him to fix a hinge on a cabinet but he informed me that he could fix it but needed a piece of wood. I told him I do not have any wood and he would need to provide the wood. When I informed him to provide the wood, I could tell he wasn't happy, as if I was supposed to know what kind of wood, size, etc. I hired him to do the job by himself, I shouldn't have to provide supplies, He should be prepared. I use Angie's List for all of my home needs and have never had an issue. I believe this was an isolated incident and will continue to use Angie's List, just not this contractor under any circumstance.

Everything went very well. PRJ Construction is very good at always returning phone calls or contacts. They do what they say they will do and you never have to wonder. One thing I especially liked was that they would always ask me if there was any question about where I wanted anything installed or how I wanted things done. I loved that because sometimes you can get someone who will just install it the way they think is best and maybe not what you wanted but Peter always made sure it was the way I wanted it.

He and his crew (Kelly and Brandi) were great!  They were all very friendly and professional.  What started as just a paint job turned into a kitchen remodel (start) among many other things.  I added things to be done and he found a way to do it.  I was very impressed with Scott and would hire him back for sure.  If I find a way to upload pictures of the work, I will.

We reviewed the job in December of 2013 with contractor and planned to have it done in the spring of 2014.  Contractor was too busy and asked if we could push it back until end of August, which we did - no problem.  One month before job was to begin, we did all of the demo ourselves to save money, taking room down to bare studs.  I submitted the SOW to him for providing me his cost for job and communicated  back and forth with questions and requirements on specifics.  Everything was going smoothly as it had in the past.  I was excited to get this done finally!  One week before job was to start, he called me to let me know he decided he was not going to do the job without providing a good reason why.  He did not wish to communicate to resolve the issues that caused him to pull the plug on the job.  We left him a message later asking him to call us so we could hopefully resolve or reschedule at a later time - he never returned our call.  We were left with a gutted main bathroom, I had to reschedule my vacation with employer and start all over again looking for another GC to do the job.  We are currently in search of someone now and extremely disappointed with the end results of this last interaction.  Leaving an established client high and dry right before a job without attempting a resolution is very unprofessional.  Because I value Angie's List as a reputable resource for finding good contractors, I felt I owed it to the subscribers of this tool to provide this review.  I'm glad I used them for all my previous jobs and disappointed in the unprofessional way this last one ended.

Mike was very professional and great to work with!  He was always on time, respectful of our home, and kept us updated through out the entire process. He also allowed us to do some of the work ourselves to save money.  We are extremely happy with our new bathroom and would definately hire him again. He also was very accomodating of our two dogs!

I was really not fond of their work. It took longer than expected; they said it would take about a week and it took them about five weeks to finish the work in bathroom in my house. After a year, I had another guy come in and do some repairs of something that they did. I would not use them again in the future.

He came out and looked over the job, talked with me over the phone (I am out of state). He had his plummer come out to assess the amount of work that would be needed to run the pipes to the opposite wall.

He consulted me about the color of tub and when the flooring needed to be replace he called and sent pictures of what he was thinking and went from there.

He communicated with us along the way what was happening, when the plumbers were going to be there. how things were going and when things took longer then expected, he let us know why.

Because we were having the roof and skylight worked on at the same time, Chris was careful to protect the entrance tiles during the extra foot traffic.

As it turns out the work was not completed right, and we have had to hire someone else to finish and fix what was left undone.

After two years of interviewing contractors, I was almost ready to give up until I decided to join Angie's List.  That's where I found Todd and Tim with Wes Jenkins Builders.  After several horrifying past experiences with contractors, I decided to take the plunge with Jenkins Builders for my long-overdue bathroom remodel.   My instincts told me "these are the guys" and they were right on target - thank goodness!  I live in a 70 year old, space-challenged home that had "cruel and unusual" plumbing issues that needed to be addressed.  I knew it would be expensive and wanted to make sure that whoever did the job - did it right.   Todd, Tim and Cody showed up ON TIME each morning and went straight to work.  They worked with me every step of the way in carrying out all of my specific wants and needs for the project.  Since the space was so small, I really needed a pocket door to allow for more room which every other contractor told me would be a problem since my walls were so thin.  Not these guys - they made SURE I got that pocket door and to top it off, ended up adding about 6-9" more of width to my room as well.  They were a lot of fun to work with but remained very professional and respectful every step of the way.    Also, their prices were extremely fair - I cannot complain a bit on that aspect either.   I would recommend these guys to EVERYONE I know who is in need of quality work combined with an excellent experience.  We all know how painful remodeling or building projects can be.  I am hiring them again soon for additional remodeling projects. :)

They came out to the house, they took a look at things and he was able to access areas like underneath the tub area.  He also brought in the plumber who is going to be plumbing part of the shower.  Then he e-mailed the quote to us within a couple of days.  We will be going ahead with this company.
