    Anytime Heating and Air
We just bought a new home to have the furnace stop working on the third day of noticing a noise, and of course when it was only 8 degrees outside with snow. I called Anytime Heating from having a sticker on the furnace and they were able to come within the hour to determine the Inducer Motor needed to be replaced. Daniel was very professional and experienced. I have signed up for the yearly maintenance agreement and am confident they will keep my system up and running.

The install went great. Mark diagnosed the problem quickly and was more than willing to help out after the home warranty company crapped out on me. Mark went above and beyond to find a solution that solved problems we would encounter down the road all at once. Would definitely recommend.

    DFH Co
DFH repaired my HVAC system after the original contractor did a poor job of installing my system. The original contractor went out of business and I had to find a Trane authorized dealer as my parts are still under warranty. DFH had to make several trips to my house due to multiple issues with my system. DFH always showed up when they said they would arrive. The tech was very professional and stayed on the unit troubleshooting it's multiple problems. DFH senior management got involved helping guide my repairs through Trane's Field Service Rep. DFH was very reasonable to deal with and treated me fairly throughout a bad situation not of their making. I even got a follow up call from one of the owners a week after the last repair. He wanted to know if the unit was operating correctly.

    BJ Heating & Cooling
BJ sent a tech out on the weekend to check my AC this summer. Found it low on charge and added refrigerant. Did not charge me for weekend call. Unit acted up again a couple days later. They sent out another tech who checked operation again, looked for leaks and added more refrigerant. The owner, Barry, made contact with me and I asked for a complete system quote. Prompt, reasonable and they handled all the financing and rebate paperwork. Can't swear they're the cheapest, but I've dealt with other companies and I will be calling BJ if I ever need something moving forward. Great follow up after the installation to make sure I was satisfied as well.

    Anytime Heating and Air
I was impressed with the skill and knowledge displayed by the representative when he came out.  He identified the issue with our humidifier, which has never worked, he found a wiring error on the capacitor and corrected it, communicated everything, and seemed very thorough.  I feel like we found our new AC company.

Everything went great.  The technician arrived on time and spent time explaining the process and made us aware of the steps we could take to ensure our systems continued to work properly.  The price was fair and we would certainly use them again.

    Allen's Heating & Air, Inc.
Overall, having used this service contractor on two prior calls, I wasn't expecting the new "Flat Rate" or "Up-Front" Billing scheme or practice that apparently has been initiated at Allen's Heating & Air.
The service call, overall, went ok.  The Technician quoted an up-front price for his pending tasks. I wasn't well-versed in the sealing process, but I trusted the Technician to be giving me honest and straight information and a reasonable quote for the work.  I might add, that I was familiar with EPA refrigerant considerations and changes over the last 10 years and knew the cost of these gases could have a wide range of prices, although I didn't know specifics.  I was quoted $225.00 for the sealing job and $250.00 for as much as 3 pounds of R22 gas prior to starting the work.  I was told the first pound of R22 was almost $90.00.  I approved the work to be done.
The Technician attached the 3 ounce can of sealant to the condenser and in a matter of approximately 4 minutes, the sealing job was done.
Using a Fieldpiece SRS2 Digital scale (a very accurate and reliable tool for actually measuring the amount of Refrigerant used) the Technician injected 2 pounds of R22 into the system.
We reviewed the new meter readings and checked the cold air now pumping out of the interior registers. I asked to see the Nu-Calgon sealant can and made some notes. I wrote the Technician a check and he was gone.
As an old electrical contractor, I was incredibly curious about the costs of this operation.  I'll bet you can imagine my surprise after making a few calls and internet inquiries that Nu-Calgon Easy Seal only costs about $50 a can.  And the R22 Refrigerant can be purchased for $9 to $10 dollars a pound...and that's to me, not as a contractor.
      So let's add t up: #1 Diagnostic/Trip Fee @ $89.00 + 3 oz. Nu-Calgon Easy Seal @ $225.00 + 2 lbs R22 Refrigerant @ $154.38 = $468.38 which is what I paid the Technician.
I called the owner latter that day and finally reached her again the following morning for a review of the bill. Tracy Allen told me that since the prices were disclosed up front, that they were correct and would stand as is.
Ok fine, my mistake. But I expressed the fact that this charges were a serious gouge as far as I could see. Let's add it up again: #1 Diagnostic/Trip fee (should include the first half-hour of service I would think) @ $89.00. They wouldn't tell me the hourly rate. so let's say it's $75.00 an hour time 0.5 hours for the second half-hour of service = $37.50.  Let's be generous and allow a 50% markup on materials and say the Easy Seal should sell for $75.00 and 2 lbs of R22 might have sold for $40.00.  Add all that up and it comes to $241.50
So ultimately, I suppose it's buyer beware.  I should've put the brakes on when I sensed early on something wasn't right. But in any event, this is my last time with Allen's Heating & Air.

They pulled out all extra duct work. My duct system was all over the place. They tied it up so I wouldnt lose so much going up and down. They worked around the insulation co on the same day. I got up there and looked it was all as straight as possible. I noticed more air flow in the home.

    Great work would recomend

We missed having a whole house humidifier system as we had in our home in another state.  When I saw the Angie's List special for this system, I could not pass it up.  (besides it was a great deal for a Honeywell brand!)
The experienced technician arrived promptly at the appointed time.  He explained in detail all the steps he would take to install our whole house humidifier and finished the job in about 1 1/2 hours.   We can breathe so much better now!

Kentuckiana Air Condition, Heating & Sheet Metal
I did not do it upfront when I had the work done, but during the process of the work being done I'd asked him to submit a copy of the purchase order to me. He felt that was too personal and that he didn't want to give it to me because he didn't want me to see what he's paying/what his profit was from it. At the end, I continued to ask for a copy of the purchase order and because he said he felt as though I didn't trust him, he said he'd refused to do any more work for me in the future even though it is under warranty.
