    The HomeWright, LLC
From start to finish The HomeWright, LLC (Matt Wright) gave us a superior customer experience. Our high expectations were exceeded every step of the way. Matt Wright's personal commitment to the agreed upon project plan and timeline was extraordinary. This was one of many clear demonstrations by him of his honesty, trustworthiness and integrity as a contractor. The design process and the execution of demo and construction was of superior quality -- a high value experience. We were most impressed by all the skilled trades professionals on this project, especially the electrician, plumbers, carpenters/cabinet installers, painters and tile installers. They all performed those extra little steps to ensure all work was perfect. We were also very apprectiative of the daily clean ups and low level of disturbance to our home by The HomeWright's crews. There was minimal distruption to our home during all phases of this 6 week project. On a personal note, we highly value the personable, friendly and respectful manner that all individuals showed us when they were in our home. They even showed this to our mini Aussie!! ;-) We highly recommend The HomeWright, LLC to others.

As a busy family, I was happy to see online appointment schedule. I understandably received a call to confirm my availability. I was told I had to confirm 24 hours in advance rather than the 48 hours in advance. Although this wasn't convenient, I gave them my cell phone number to confirm the 24 hours in advance. During that cell phone call, I was told they would not honor the appointment unless my husband was also present. Seriously??? I am also a doctor, but as a mostly full time mom it is my schedule that allows for flexibility for home appointments such as these. I do discuss things with my husband, but he not only doesn't ask to be present for sales estimates, he doesn't want to be present. We weren't looking for financing or even a huge project at this point. However, as we will be replacing all of our windows over the next few years, this company lost what could be an eventual large job. As it stands now, I am looking back at Angie's list to see if another company will be able to give me an estimate in the time I reserved on my schedule. What a waste of my time! What a crazy business model to demand the husband be present for decisions about doors. I'm a bit flabbergasted.

    Legacy Window & Door LLC
Overall this project was a disappointment. Legacy installed a brand new door onto our back porch with a cracked window, and this was reported to Mark immediately. After FIVE years this has never been repaired. FIVE years of Mark telling me he has ordered the window insert and that his guys will be out to fix it, and nobody comes. After several months I would contact him again, he would apologize, and say he has it ordered and his guys will be out soon. Again, nobody comes, and this cycle repeated multiple times over FIVE years as of this posting without resolution. The crew Mark sent originally (Mike and Dave) were unprofessional, sloppy, and rude. Two of the original windows were installed crooked, and would not close until they were adjusted multiple times. The large window in our master bathroom required some wood repair, which they replaced with wood that didnt match the existing color, and was caulked with clear non-paintable caulk that to this day looks embarrassing. Their reason for using both the clear caulk and wood was, that was what we had in the truck. This project began in the winter of 2014 in the bitter cold. On 2 separate occasions, they would have a new window set in place, but not yet sealed (1/4 gaps all around), and leave for the night with cold air blasting into our home through the gaps around the window. They installed new exterior siding, and in multiple places the joints between boards overlap other joints. While installing the siding, they knocked large holes of the existing insulation/water barrier out from our attic space to the point that the wall studs are exposed with the siding nailed directly to the studs without the protective under layer (I could see outside through the new siding while standing in the attic). The fascia boards were torn up pretty bad to replace the siding, but no attempt was made to repair or replace them until our situation began to reach unbelievable results. Dave told me they had no reason to repair the fascia boards because they had to be torn up to replace the siding. In my opinion, part of any job includes repairing damages along the way. Eventually Mark had them return to caulk up the holes in the fascia, but one side of our house has never been repaired because Dave smirked we didnt bring the tall ladder. In multiple areas of the exterior they used interior nails, all of which rusted immediately. The back porch conversion was a total disaster. Legacy was hired to begin a porch conversion by rebuilding the walls to code and insulating/water barrier protecting the outside (I was going to do the interior finishing myself). They installed our new door directly to an existing 4x4 cedar post, with NO HEADER and a single 2x4 pine king stud on the opposite side. Trying to finish the interior has been a nightmare because the cedar 4x4 is wider than the pine 2x4 and getting everything flush has been a headache. This is the same door with a cracked window that we get to look through everyday, thanks to Legacy Window and Door. On of the porch windows is 2 lower than the one next to it, which looks awful. On their website, pictures show a porch conversion with 16 wall studs and properly framed windows, but their work on our porch didnt have any studs closer than 24 and none of the windows were framed. They installed the porch windows directly onto the window plate sill and foot nailed single 2x4s on either side. I had to add Tyvek after the fact, because none of the porch windows were properly water proofed because they put the windows in without it. I could go on and on about this, but overall this was a disaster and I would avoid this company at all cost. Mark told me after I complained about the job that Mike and Dave had just installed a roof for another client that leaked, and he was spending all of his time fixing the situation with that customer. Well, our situation was also poor and has never been resolved. We hired Mark because he promised to provide the best quality service and that if anything wasnt perfect, he would fix it, but after 5 years its obvious that we werent getting what we paid for.

I just found out recently that the door that was installed was defective. They was a leak swelling up the door way. I'm trying them to the problem fix. They were sending out different technician who just took pictures and then finally told me that they will not honor the warranty.

    CMH Builders Inc
The basement was finished on time, well, actually a few days early! The quality of the construction was probably better than our house, which is a couple of years old. The people doing the work were extremely knowledgeable, personable, and very willing to answer any questions that we had. The construction manager, Adam, was great and always went the extra mile during the project. We couldn't be happier with our new basement!

    The HomeWright, LLC
After being completely satisfied with two bathroom remodels, we contacted Matt to finish off our bonus room above our garage. This required some engineering expertise, due to the rooflines, so Matt brought in the experts to design the ceiling pitches and angles to not only be visually appealing, but most importantly to maintain the structural integrity. I was impressed with the thoroughness in design and the quality of the workmanship to make this room a great hangout for our family. His team was able to tie in the HVAC to existing supply and return run into the room when we built the house 20 years ago. New circuits were needed and his electrician did a great job in running new lines and getting the numerous cable connectors sorted. Amanda Wilson was, again, amazing in providing decorating guidance with wall color and carpeting. Overall, we have added some valuable square footage that is really nice now and will be valuable to any prospective buyer down the road. I'd highly recommend Matt Wright for any remodeling project. You can be sure that it will be done with high quality, on time and within budget.

    The Glass Guru (North)
Call some else. This was a bad customer experience. Glass guru put in our sliding glass door with a dog door. Two years later when it broke (not their fault), I called to get a repair or new door. 2 emails, 8 phone calls, 1 visit to my house over the course of 4 weeks, and I don't have an estimate. I still can't open my sliding glass door.

    Factory Direct
I have several investment properties in the North side of Indy and around the Carmel area. I have now used Factory Direct twice to update two of those properties. Since budget and timelines are extremely important to me, I was happy to find a company that stuck to doing exactly what they said they would. The prices were fair and there was no haggling which in the end saves me time and money. Direct and straight forward is what I appreciate. They definitely have the shortest lead time in the industry as well.

    Showecker Masonry
Showecker's price and value for the work completed was very competitive. They completed the work in a timely and professional manner and returned to complete certain aspects of the job that had to be done after other contractors completed their work.
