    The Home Improvement Company Inc
Our brick ranch house was in need of TLC on the old fiber board siding, which my wife and I have painted four times ourselves. We wanted to make the exterior maintenance free with a good quality vinyl siding. We contacted five separate companies, four of which were listed in Angies list, to get estimates. We chose The Home Improvement Co. They were neither the highest nor the lowest estimate. We based our decision on the reviews in Angies list, pictures of the work that had been accomplished on other jobs, and Matts straight forward honest presentation. Matt convinced us that one of the most important details of this work is an experienced crew that knows how to work with the material. We had chosen the insulated backed vinyl siding. The crew (Kevin and Rueben) and Matt arrived Friday and started the demolition on the west side of the house. We were having all the old siding removed and replaced with new board, moisture barrier, and the vinyl siding. They completed that side including cleanup in one day. The whole job was completed by the following Friday. The crew was great. They were friendly and professional, and they worked well together as a team. They answered any question we had and honored any request we made. They also wrapped all the windows and doors with aluminum coil. They transformed the exterior of our home. We are completely satisfied. We comment to each other every time we pull into the driveway how good our home looks now. We still plan on replacement windows and a new back door. The Home Improvement Co. will be first on our list for consideration. Thank you, Matt, Kevin, and Rueben, for a job well done.

    Weatherguard Windows & Doors
Excellent! We can't say enough good things about Joe and Harold. We have an older home we're renovating and Joe helped us get new double front doors and a transom as well as a storm/security door for our basement entrance. We have the most annoying woodpecker who adores our wood siding and Harold patched up all of our holes. We'll probably end up replacing windows in the near future (we showed one to Joe and he gave us ideas on how to make it last a little longer). When times comes for replacement we'll definitely call Joe. Outstanding customer service and an overall joy to work with.

    APEX Design Build
I neglected in posting this review on the residing of our home which was done by APEX over one year ago. With that said, the James Hardie Hardieplank siding is in excellent condition and there have been NO ISSUES that would compel us to change our feelings about APEX DESIGN BUILD, the quality of their work, the professionalism of David Wilson and the fine crew that did the tear off and install of the Hardieplank siding. The following review is what was written last year and is offered now for anyone's information. (Originally written in March, 2018) David Wilson and his team couldn't have been any nicer, informative, fair, communicative and/or professional. Our first contact with Apex was with the owner, David Wilson. David is far from "hard sell". He was patient with our decision-making process and was understanding of our concerns for our home, the need for additional estimates and, what became solely on our part, a drawn out decision-making process. David Wilson was most patient. No pressure. Always available to answer questions and concerns. We initiated our review of contractors in the summer of 2017. We made our decision at a time when the window for optimal installation was narrowing. Apex had offered some incentives to help enhance their offer so that their schedule could be filled out as the season came to a close for siding installs. The Fall of 2017 was colder than other years and our project looked like it may need to move because of the weather. David was staying in touch with us weekly as both of us were watching weather forecasts. David was reassuring and said that any and all incentives would be honored, regardless . The weather got progressively worse. This precipitated a call from David to say that his concern was not for the installation anymore, but for the painting. Painting needs to be done with temps above 45 degrees and short and long term forecasts clearly showed the window on those temps had closed. David also knew of my wife's concern for an installation that would be complete and that would include the finished painting. David was sensitive to that and said it was looking more and more like painting could not occur until the Spring because of the unusually cold weather. His recommendation to us was to delay the project and he would make our installation the first on his Spring 2018 schedule. He made it clear, however, the decision was ours. He would be willing to do the tear off and install the new siding then but the weather would, more than likely, impact the ability to paint the siding. Between OUR delayed decision and Mother Nature's nasty weather, we agreed with David's recommendation and the work started in the Spring of 2018. I offer this as one more example of David's concern for delivering a finished product of which he could be proud and a project that met the customer's expectations. Once the project was started, David stayed in touch, communicated with us during the project and helped us understand and set expectations during construction. On DAY ONE, a wonderful crew with a lead foreman who was as equally patient and communicative as David, came to start the project. The "big day" had finally arrived. Each craftsman was respectful of our home, our landscaping, maintained a clean job site and worked tirelessly to give us a wonderful finished product. These were hard-working individuals who took pride in what they did and each member of the crew seemed to have an inherent concern for, and interest in, our satisfaction in the job they were doing. The other thing that was obvious to us both was that the crew seemed to work so well as a team. Each had a part they played and throughout the project, it was clear they were all on the same page. I simply cannot emphasize enough that both my wife and I have standards that are not unreasonable, but are high. We appreciate and have expectations that the contractor we select understands and delivers on those expectations. Benchmarks of a successful project of this scope and nature begin with a contractor who is: 1. Honest, 2: Communicative, 3: Knowledgeable, 4: Exceptional job site leadership and craftsmen, 5: Respectful, 6: Customer service oriented. APEX DESIGN BUILD and David Wilson get our highest marks in each of those qualities noted here. We are both sincere in our HIGH RECOMMENDATION of David Wilson and Apex Design Build. Although every customer may process experiences differently, I can say that, when faced with one of the biggest improvements and investments in our home we were, at the time and remain, so pleased with the end result and the feeling that we made the BEST decision possible in selecting Apex.

    Apex Design Build
I don't think we could have asked for a smoother project. This was the biggest home improvement project we've undertaken since building the house in 1988. Needless to say, we were nervous; however, David Wilson, owner of Apex, put our minds to rest taking time to explain the advantages of the replacement product and each step his crew would take along the way. We began our discussions with David in the Fall of 2017 and Apex was offering some incentives to fill out their work calendar. David's price was very fair (not the cheapest, but by far not the highest). His amiable personality and fair-minded spirit made the decision to go with Apex much easier. Unfortunately, the weather in late 2017 was miserable and David called to suggest that we consider doing the project in the Spring. His concern was that the siding could get completed, but he knew my wife wouldn't want just a primed house sitting all winter before the temperature would be high enough to allow for painting. A credit to David, because he gave us his honest opinion of starting a big job with weather most unpredictable while, at the same time, ensuring us that all of the 2017 incentives he offered would hold for the project, even though delayed. David's crew was simply wonderful. During the demolition phase, they were careful to see that all material made it properly to the waste container and each evening, they would organize their materials in preparation for the next day. They worked quickly and efficiently, touching base with us to share project status and process. The foreman and crew were respectful and we had no concerns, as we left the house periodically, to allow them access to our facilities. I think these simple gestures of consideration go a long way. In the end, the project completed in short order, was installed exactly as promised and there were no change orders. The cost of the project was approximately $30,000 and the amount I paid David was exactly as he proposed. Both my wife and I find ourselves amazed that for our first major project on our home of 29 years, it came off without a hitch and that is certainly credit to David and his entire Apex Design Build team!

    Cochran Exteriors LLC
I was really stressed about having it done as I am elderly and don't trust people. Dave Wells was referred to you by a friend , and once he took over I. Was in good hands. He took care of everything for me. The workers were polite and worked their tales off till nine o'clock that night to finish up. They cleaned up real good too. I would recommend Dave and Cochran Exteriors to anyone needing work done.

    Bone Dry Roofing Inc
They came to my rescue. I had some sun damage where some siding was ripped off the side of my house. They came in and replaced it and also replaced the piece and also replaced the piece the first company took from my house to match up and never returned. I don't know three or four pieces of my siding at the top of my second story house is what they repaired or replaced. The quality is good. It's still on the side of my house, so that's good, four years later. I think I ended up talking to one of the owners or something who helped me at Bone Dry, who helped me. They took care of me, they were good.

    Your Handyman-Jeff Ashcraft
Jeff and Robert are great. They knew we were under a tight deadline and they worked us into their schedule by working nights. Jeff identified some issues that would have come up during inspection and called us to see if we wanted them fixed. They took care of getting parts and materials we needed so they didn't have to wait on us and the jobs could get down faster. We were pleased with all of the work they did and grateful for the speedy service.

    Hoosier Contractors, LLC
Insurance Company denied me on first inspection with clearly a lot of damage and my neighbors were all getting roofs. Hoosier Contractors went to bat for us and demanded a re inspection with Spartan Claims. Long Story short my Insurance Company tried to pull one over on us and they didn't allow that to happen. Roof was bought and paid for by Insurance Company along with gutters and painting from the roof leaking. Hoosier Contractors did a great job taking care of us. Thank You Hoosier Contractors.

The contractor put the roof on and the gutters on the house as I was purchasing the property.  That went well.  However, he was also supposed to fix the siding in several places.  He told me he was going to come back when I first talked to him after I closed on the house in October of 2014.  He didn't do so and after several calls I talked to him and he said at that point he was waiting for the weather to get warmer.  I then called him again this spring and he said he would get to it.  After that I have tried calling on multiple occasions and he has not returned my call for the 3 months or so.

    Danny's Pro Painters LLC
Danny and his staff were always on time from the beginning estimate till the end.  Completed work in the time schedule agreed upon, even worked all weekend to avoid the rain forecasted.  Covered all furniture and removed shoes while painting inside.  Will use again for our next project.  Thanks to Danny.
