    DR Contractors
I used Angie's List and found DR Contractors. I am in the process of remodeling a home, and hired DR Contractors to completely tile my master bathroom. Since I purchased my own tile, it can get difficult to find a contractor just for installation, but DR had no issues with that! The guys that came to the house were polite and got right to work. Installation was very good. They met me at the house the next day to go over the installation and ensure the job was completed at my satisfaction. All was good!

    Pioneer Kitchens
Pioneer kitchen does a really good job communicating. They are very friendly and do great work. We stayed exactly on budget. I had them cut down a wall, put in new granite counter tops, install new sink and garbage disposal air switch. They also had great subcontractors- Epic Electric (new lighting) and the Tile Guy (back splash). There was a problem with the job- a mismatch between the sink cut out in the granite and the sink they had ordered. They really worked hard to make sure we were inconvenienced as little as possible. They made it RIGHT! In home remodeling things go wrong but this is a company that makes sure your happy with the end product.

    Pioneer Kitchens
We refaced our kitchen cabinets and replaced our countertops in our very large kitchen that was originally built in 1994. Pioneer Kitchens worked with us to ensure we were able to update our kitchen and stay within our budget. We were offered several estimates at different price points. We ended up choosing cabinet refacing and granite counter tops. We were able to choose 2 different types of granite and 2 different cabinet colors which allowed us to create a very custom look. The staff was very professional, courteous and friendly. They worked with us to ensure that our kitchen was exactly what we wanted. In addition to refacing our cabinets and installing our granite countertops, Pioneer Kitchens shortened several cabinets for us, custom built drawers and shelves for our cabinets, and installed our new sink/faucets and our microwave. Their communication and response time was excellent. They also recommended a contractor to install our tile backsplash who was able to coordinate his schedule with our overall kitchen remodel schedule. If we ever need to remodel a kitchen in the future we will call Pioneer Kitchens. Great quality, great price and great service! We highly recommend their services.

    Edens Painting and Remodeling LLC
Our experience with Tim and his staff was great! Tim was very good about keeping us in the loop as to what was happening each day and he guided us every step of the way. Any questions we had were addressed very promptly, which we appreciated very much. Our master bathroom was a complete renovation, so we had the old flooring, shower, tub, sinks, vanities, mirrors, and lighting replaced. Every single part of the renovation was done with great care and thought. Tim listened to what we were wanting in a new bathroom, and he was able to convert our ideas into reality. Two of our other bathrooms were partially renovated. We replaced an outdated tub and fixtures in one bathroom and then had the walls tiled. In the other bathroom, we had an outdated tub removed and replaced with a shower stall with tiled walls and flooring and a sliding glass door. The results were amazing!! The quality of work is top-notch and we now have 3 beautifully transformed and updated bathrooms. We are so happy with our renovations and we truly enjoyed working with Tim. I will definitely be calling on Edens Painting and Remodeling for any future renovation needs.

    Brastock Contractors
DO NOT HIRE!! We hired them to install a kitchen tile back splash and remove the old shower and install a new tiled shower, along with a tiled back splash around garden tub. He needed money after 4 days (less than 4 days of work) on 5 day plus job. Brastock quoted a set price, but changed to hourly. After Husband came home from being out of town on day 4, and noticed the grout job wasn't completed for some reason. Andrew said they will complete it when they come back. He said we could wipe in down after 48 hours. He was hurried to leave for the day. We paid him on day 4 for all of the materials and over half of what he quoted. On the Friday before he was supposed to come back and finish the job, he texted us. He wanted $650 more to pick up the pre-made shower base. Husband called him and said for him to pick up the base and bring it out the following Monday work day as we discussed previously, and as soon as it is installed and fits properly, we would pay him. He said he needed money right now for his own personal bills. Husband mentioned about the remaining grout job in the kitchen that he should have not left it like that. He got very defensive and wanted to argue. And that he would have to charge us another half day. Husband told him not to come back. We got (3) more Contractors to come out and quote on finishing the job. They found numerous problems from Brastock's work. The shower backer board was not sealed anywhere including the seams. Two load bearing studs behind the backer board were notched over 50% to make room for the plumbing. Numerous uneven/ unprofessional grout lines, (in both the shower and kitchen). No stud behind the backer board where the corner of the glass panel for the door will be mounted. The shower was tiled before the base which might cause leaking. The kitchen tile had a small wave that started behind the stove. Lousy job around the kitchen switch plates. They sealed the earth tiles with a paint brush instead of sponge per instructions. They completely disrespected the home owners by not cleaning up during their work and after work at the end of the day. They had no drop cloths. They didn't put anything down on the floors, tub, or counters. Homeowner let them borrow his drop cloths and they just left a mess. No cleanup by them at all. They cut tile in the garage with tile dust everywhere. They cut tile and wood in the bathroom and when they trimmed the tile in the kitchen they created tile dust everywhere. Used our granite counter top as a work bench with nothing down. We supplied them with towels to put down. All of the towels and tarps they used from us, they never shook them out and folded back up, instead they just left the mess for the homeowners! Husband was out of town for most of the days, so I believe he thought he could get away with subpar workmanship. All three contractors that came over to review his work said most all the work had to be completely ripped out and start over. We spent over $2700 in new tile. Now we will have to pay someone to remove what Brastock installed and pay to get new tile installed again. Their service and workmanship are very unprofessional. He compromised the integrity of or home behind the shower. It turned into a nightmare.

    123 STEPS GENERAL CONTRACTORS
This company is wonderful! First, it's important to note that Luis did come out to our home to give us an estimate, but because of his excellent advice, we were able to fix a small problem and save our money for a better renovation in the future. When I first called to set up an appointment, Luis answered my call right away and we were able to set up a time for him to come over and give us an estimate. Luis was quick to respond to my text messages confirming the day and time. When Luis arrived, he took the time to explain all the different possibilities for renovations in our bathroom. He showed me photos of completed bathrooms that had similar designs to ours. He gave plenty of suggestions and new options to improve our master bathroom. Within less than a week, Luis sent us a detailed quote outlining the cost for each step in the job. The estimate was clear and easy to read. He was available for questions or clarifications, if needed. In the end, because Luis gave us the advice on how to fix our current situation, we decided to save for a future renovation. We will definitely call 123 Steps General Contractors again when the time comes for us to move forward with this project.

    123 STEPS GENERAL CONTRACTORS
Overall, we had a very favorable experience with Luis and 123 Steps. Below are more comments on the individual grades: Price: The price for our project met expectations. I used a program to detail out the projected cost and 123 Steps came in very close to my projection. I will say one company (Lowe's specifically) gave me pricing 40-50% higher than I was expecting. The fact Luis provided detailed pricing helped alleviate my concerns of hidden costs sneaking in after the project was started. I really appreciated the pricing transparency. Quality: We were satisfied with the quality of the bathroom remodels. They look great and it was encouraging to see all of the steps Luis and team took building the shower including all of the water proofing. I also believe he was knowledge based on some detailed answers regarding potential options for our bathrooms. Responsiveness: Luis was quick to reply during quoting and answer questions during the project. He even came back after we paid and signed off when we found some trim in the garage we forgot to install. The best example is he answered about 15 questions for me within 24 hours regarding the quote. Punctuality: Luis and team was always punctual - his team was never a bottleneck in our project - any delays were in receiving product we ordered for Lowe's/Prosource. Professionalism: Luis and team were very professional and friendly. They worked on time, were super productive and friendly with the whole family. My two year old loved waiting at the end of the stairs to greet everyone as they went up and down the stairs to the job. I was very happy with the experience and final results with 123 Steps. This is really the purpose of Angie's List - to find great contractors you could never find on your own. I would certainly use 123 Steps again and recommend them to friends and family.
