    Apex Design Build
I don't think we could have asked for a smoother project. This was the biggest home improvement project we've undertaken since building the house in 1988. Needless to say, we were nervous; however, David Wilson, owner of Apex, put our minds to rest taking time to explain the advantages of the replacement product and each step his crew would take along the way. We began our discussions with David in the Fall of 2017 and Apex was offering some incentives to fill out their work calendar. David's price was very fair (not the cheapest, but by far not the highest). His amiable personality and fair-minded spirit made the decision to go with Apex much easier. Unfortunately, the weather in late 2017 was miserable and David called to suggest that we consider doing the project in the Spring. His concern was that the siding could get completed, but he knew my wife wouldn't want just a primed house sitting all winter before the temperature would be high enough to allow for painting. A credit to David, because he gave us his honest opinion of starting a big job with weather most unpredictable while, at the same time, ensuring us that all of the 2017 incentives he offered would hold for the project, even though delayed. David's crew was simply wonderful. During the demolition phase, they were careful to see that all material made it properly to the waste container and each evening, they would organize their materials in preparation for the next day. They worked quickly and efficiently, touching base with us to share project status and process. The foreman and crew were respectful and we had no concerns, as we left the house periodically, to allow them access to our facilities. I think these simple gestures of consideration go a long way. In the end, the project completed in short order, was installed exactly as promised and there were no change orders. The cost of the project was approximately $30,000 and the amount I paid David was exactly as he proposed. Both my wife and I find ourselves amazed that for our first major project on our home of 29 years, it came off without a hitch and that is certainly credit to David and his entire Apex Design Build team!

    Cochran Exteriors LLC
I was really stressed about having it done as I am elderly and don't trust people. Dave Wells was referred to you by a friend , and once he took over I. Was in good hands. He took care of everything for me. The workers were polite and worked their tales off till nine o'clock that night to finish up. They cleaned up real good too. I would recommend Dave and Cochran Exteriors to anyone needing work done.

    Legacy Window & Door LLC
Working with Legacy and the owner Mark Spencer was great. Mark explained the project in advance and it went as described without any major issues. We called Legacy in early January and signed the order January 10.. They just finished the last door and we are very pleased. This is a company a homeowner can trust. We believe the quality of the installation was very good. Each day the debris was removed and the yard cleaned up. That was important to us. We also felt Legacy went the extra mile and provided us with the details we needed and in some cases, didn't know we wanted or needed. Example, our back service door is somewhat hidden by a row of bushes. Mark recommended for security we place an outswing door there. No one can kick in an outswing door. We feel more secure. Mark was great to work with. There was never any sales pressure to buy. We had an idea of what we wanted to do, but Mark's input was very helpful. It took a little while but we got the look we wanted. We had wood windows and didn't want those again, but we were concerned that vinyl might not be appropriate. Legacy has their own window and we used that . The look is the best I've seen in a vinyl window and the triple pane glass has made our home very quiet inside. The sun doesn't blind us in the evening in our family room either. Big relief there. Our house is brick lower level and cedar second story. We didn't want vinyl siding and ended up going with Hardie siding. The new color really makes our home stand out and the look is excellent. Fresh, crisp, no more wood rot! We love it. Legacy also replaced 3 doors. Two service doors and a new front door. We went with Legacy's Provia Amish door line. This is a stained fiberglass door and it looks like real wood. Legacy threw in a multipoint locking system for the doors, looks great, very secure. We also had our old wood deck taken down and hauled away. We ended up with a new design that works better with my back yard. Legacy's carpenters were also great to work with. Each morning we would get a call telling us their ETA. We ended up having their whole company here at one time or another. Window and door installers were very clean. The finish, the details were all done well. The crew that did the siding and the paint people were also professional and courteous. Everybody took their shoes off when they came in. That was nice. We are very happy with the job. We recommend anyone considering a project to give Legacy a call. Good people.

    Hoosier Contractors, LLC
Insurance Company denied me on first inspection with clearly a lot of damage and my neighbors were all getting roofs. Hoosier Contractors went to bat for us and demanded a re inspection with Spartan Claims. Long Story short my Insurance Company tried to pull one over on us and they didn't allow that to happen. Roof was bought and paid for by Insurance Company along with gutters and painting from the roof leaking. Hoosier Contractors did a great job taking care of us. Thank You Hoosier Contractors.

    White Oak Construction
They were friendly and professional; however, he told me that they have an A+ rating on Angie's List and they clearly have a B rating. The estimate was extremely high, but he could give me a very deep discount if I signed today. Prior to the estimate I was called several times in a few hours.

    Energy Secure Solutions Inc
I have used Energy Secure Solutions several times now and they have been great from start to finish.  Steve showed up on the appointment time and showed me many options.  Steve lets me pick the product and is very patient with the process.  Once the contract was signed Steve told me exactly what to expect and when.  The workers showed up on time, did the work in a timely manner, and cleaned up with no issues. The job once again was done with great precision and great craftsmanship.  Once again, a job well done by Energy Secure.  I will continue to use Energy Secure for all my construction needs!

    Skyline Roofs And Gutters
I talked to him on June 7th.  I wrote a check for half the amount of the total job on June 8th ($1,000) and so far, no work has been done.  I keep trying to get in contact with him and when I finally do, he says he'll start the first of next week.  He keeps putting it off and after three months, no work has been done.

Central Indiana Roofing and Restoration, LLC
The contractor put the roof on and the gutters on the house as I was purchasing the property.  That went well.  However, he was also supposed to fix the siding in several places.  He told me he was going to come back when I first talked to him after I closed on the house in October of 2014.  He didn't do so and after several calls I talked to him and he said at that point he was waiting for the weather to get warmer.  I then called him again this spring and he said he would get to it.  After that I have tried calling on multiple occasions and he has not returned my call for the 3 months or so.

    Elbert Construction Inc
Weather wise things were stop and go, as they couldn't install until the temperature was above freezing. The workers were courteous and answered all of my questions. I had put X's on the areas I had questions or concerns about, and they went back through and adjusted and exlained everything to me. The people they contracted out for the gutters were also very helpful and did a good job.

Allender & Sons Roofing & Siding
Richard and Tina work together to provide an excellent overall experience.  I wanted to give my business to a locally owned business, not a large 'chain' roofer, and Richard did not disappoint.  The crew he sent out for the roof was very professional.  I especially appreciated that they paid attention to thorough clean up when they were done.  Though the gutters were subbed out, I was also favorably impressed with the crew he arranged.  They did an excellent job and quality work.  The only issue I had with my experience was we had arranged to have the deck re-stained as part of our contract.  Though we coordinated at length with a painting sub through the roofing and guttering process, when time came to do the work the original sub somehow became unavailable.  The replacement sub was not prompt in coordinating work with us, and we simply ran out of good weather in the Fall.  I don't see this as any reflection on Richard's business or professionalism, though we had to wait 'til Spring to complete the deck.  Regardless, I would *highly recommend Allender and Sons.
