    I hesitate to recommend Dr. Brittain to any woman. Although I don't have any complaints about the level of medical care he provided, his hands have a tendency to wander where they don't belong. This happened to me on two separate occasions when I was there for a consultation only, not a physical examination, so he had no reason to even be touching me. Upon becoming a patient, he sent me a friend request on Facebook, and then some time later, he invited me to connect with him on LinkedIn, which is completely unprofessional for a doctor/patient relationship. The inappropriate touching didn���t start until I had already been a patient for a couple of years and had established trust in him. If you choose to see him, be very mindful of where his hands are while he is talking to you about medical issues, and be prepared to speak up if he does anything inappropriate.

    Caughlin, Dr. James P.
    I met with Dr. Caughlin and he gave me the routine annual exam. We determined that I needed a colonoscopy and a GED. I was notified1-2 days later by the office who schedules the needed tests.  I asked who the doctor would be and was surprised to learn that a trauma specialist would be performing my tests. I prefer a gastro doc for the tests I needed.  I then called Caughlin's office & left voice mail to ask them to call the order in to another doctor (who is not associated with IU Health).  I also asked that they call me back to confirm my request.  I called back 4 more times & each time I left a voice mail but my calls were never returned.  That was in Dec 2014. To date, I have yet to receive a response. 
    Another time, I was very sick with a respiratory issue that had gone on for 6 weeks. I had gone to the emergency clinic two times on different weekends and was told to follow up with my family doctor. I called to make an appointment and was told Caughlin was not available for 2 weeks.  I asked to see an associate and was told they prefer I stick with my own doctor.  After some persuasion, I finally saw Caughlin's colleague who agreed I should not wait 2 weeks to see Caughlin.
    The final straw was when my husband went in because he was having problems with his blood pressure meds.  Caughlin took him completely off both meds and told him to return in 6 months.  My husband has been on BP meds for years!  I called to confirm that my husband should not return for 6 months and was told that was correct. A few weeks later my husband starting having problems with his BP.
    We have since established with another doctor and are quite pleased with the care we receive.  We had great care from Dr. Caughlin at the beginning and I liked that he took his time and answered our questions.  But at the end, he and his staff weren't available or willing to help us out and we felt it was time to move on.

    I have had very good experience with her. What stands out the most about her is her professionalism. It was hard to get an appointment. They need to have other doctors in that practice. They need to expand because I waited six months to get in to see her when my other doctor left.

    I go in every six months.  This time I had a bad cold.  It's a big office.  Considerable staff.  Never had to wait more than a couple of minutes.  Well managed facility.  I like him very much.  He listens.  He gives good advice and I am very pleased with him.

    My son lost his prescription to get his ADD medicine.  He loses things often. They will not re subscribe for the prescription.  They are not even sympathetic or empathetic to his issues.  They aren't even returning our calls.  He needs this to function.

    As a result of being upset with this situation, we were dropped from the practice. We were told that part of the reason that we were being dropped from the practice (after we had made an appointment for our son), because I said that I would post a negative review on Angie's List.

    Their walk in clinic is open 7 days a week, they were even open limited hours on Christmas and New Years day.

    The lab provides test results quickly to in house physicians and you never have to wait long to have blood drawn.

    The xray dept was also above average. Never have to wait very long and the results are sent to in house doctors very quickly.

    Premier Healthcare also has an online patient portal which is very handy to view your test results, records etc.

    She is really good. I was to see her first time back in April or May of 2012 and I ended up having cancer that she caught real quick and I had hysterectomy. She gave robotics and made up for really quick recovery and was very very noninvasive. She is thorough and very personable, puts me at ease when I see her. I had to go every three months for followup. She is really really good, very good at explaining everything, answering all my questions so I like her a lot lot.

    Everything was fine. He is incredibly accurate at what he is looking for. He will do surgery only if he feels it is absolutely necessary and there is no other way to treat. He is good and I trust him.

    I love him to pieces. He gives me as much time as I need and he listens to me. Sometimes his schedule does get backed up because he does spend so much time with his patients. His father is also a chiropractic in the same office.

    I made this appointment for my mother, who recently relocated to the area. I was very pleased with Dr. Caughlin's thoroughness, as well as the amount of time he spent with her on her first visit. The office staff was very pleasant as well.
