  • After several unsuccessful attempts to schedule by phone, was told by provider that this should not have been offered to me by Angie's List due to distance to my home. Unfortunately they strung me along past the 30 day refund period. No one is willing to either do the work or provide a refund. I have called and emailed this provider numerous times. They no longer respond to me.

  • Work started approximately May 16th. Wasn't completed till 9-6-17. No weather problems - well it did rain one day. Material problems incurred - probably not their fault but while waiting for materials they ignored us for weeks. Problem arose with bedroom paint - reported it to them and sent pictures. He came right away but it didn't get fixed until a month later. Broke our exterior/solar lights. Told my husband he had to pull off our job to do an insurance job. Went on vacation during this time. Told us one day they would be there at 7am so we got up early. 7 came - no workers. 8 came -no workers. 9 came - no workers. At 10 I called and got a response "We had an emergency". I said "Wouldn't it have been only polite to call us and tell us that so we weren't just waiting?" Silence on phone. They did finally come and piddled around for a while but not much got done that day. Didn't tell us till we had purchased the materials that they would be hot to our dogs feet and when I said we were getting furniture delivered we were told that it might damage the floor as it was soft. Now (10-03-17) it is already starting to fade. Very disappointed. Job was not completed to our satisfaction, no way!

  • Did not show or call the first or third appointments made, even with a reminder texted and call which was never answered or returned. The second appointment I believe he might have shown up. He called on his way, due to a family emergency on my end could not complete service. Sounded professional over the phone however. Work agreed to per phone, did not show up 2 out of 3 appointments made. Waited 3 hours at home for both appointments.

  • Menards is where we bought the replacement door and they don't have to put the door knob hole in the correct place. The door was a little too narrow and the door knob hole shows a little, but otherwise the work was fine. We didn't know before the installation that Jeld-wen is a better place to buy new doors.

  • Craig made the trip the up from Noblesville to Anderson, on time. Immediately, as we discussed, he climbed up on the roof to make sure the roof vent was not obstructed, which it wasn't.  Next, we went inside to take a look at the fan. While the fan was running, Craig's assessment was that it wasn't exhausting enough moist air.  Before, doing any thing else, he was determined to find out why. He immediately climbed into the attic to see if the venting was obstructed in some fashion. Upon his return to solid ground, Craig informed me of two things, the fan was not obstructed  and the venting that was supposed to be there didn't exist. Yes, I had just purchased a home where the exhaust fans on both side of the duplex were blowing air moist straight into the attic.
The solution came in the way of a trip to Lowes. Craig helped me pick out a fan capable of properly clearing the bathroom moisture plus the insulated venting to be installed in the attic. He had enough time to do my side of the building as well. Moreover, he also addressed a difficult to remove bathroom shower knob that was collecting grime.
My tenants are trilled to have the bathroom vented properly and a clean shower knob. I'm trilled that Craig caught and resolved a severe issue that I didn't even know existed.

  • Gable Vent was installed March 2014. In June 2015 the Gable Vent fell off. Contacted the company about the issue and spoke with the owner. He said he would be out to take a look. Weekly phone calls from June until the end of July 2015 / first week of Aug. 2015 to get an update. Every day that someone was going to come out was a no call no show. We had to call when they did not show up and received a different reason why they did not make it out, but only after we called. Use with caution so you do not take time off from work to be home for them only to have a no call no show / no communication when they miss their appointment.

  • It was an excellent experience, they told us off air that it was something they could not do but they recommended some one else who could do and was excellent as well, we really appreciated him coming out an telling us. They called this person who came out that day and fixed the problem because it required some specialized type of plumbing. Even though they did not do the work the interaction was excellent and they did not charge for their visit.

  • Short"s Painting used a 2 man crew for our Anderson house. The house was built in 1968 and the siding finish was so eroded over the previous 46 years, that it looked grey, instead of white. We were preparing to put the house on the market and it had virtually zero curb appeal. They pressure washed the entire house, and cleaned up the paint chips that were washed off. They came back the next day or so, and primed the entire house. They got no paint on any of the (new) windows, or anywhere but where it belonged.

The brick had been partially painted by the first owner, years ago, to look (we're thinking) like it was whitewashed.  When the crew was done painting, they asked us to check for any issues before they left

.  It was gorgeous!  They used satin paint; it"s easier to maintain and resists dirt better. From the street, the house absolutely "pops."   We were tremendously pleased and the house looks great. Our house was checked, by Short's Painting, prior to starting the job, for lead based paint.  We didn't have to pay any deposit, and while their quote was not the cheapest, their work,  by far, was well worth it.

The house sold within six weeks and I feel sure this paint job was a huge factor. We couldn't be happier with the two very courteous employees and the job they did. We would use them again in a heartbeat!

  • Tracy has been a God-send! He has provided great counsel (on my home) and is a knowledgeable,
fast and efficient worker. By accompanying me when purchasing the dishwasher and the door, he both saved us money ($200 on the dishwasher), but also helped ensure that we were getting what would serve us best. He has great knowledge and experience in areas that I know little about. He is willing to share so that we, his customers, are best served. He's willing to speak up, but will willingly move forward if you don't chose to heed his advice.
    OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE! Thank you, Tracy!

  • They were pretty good. They did a general contractor job for me. The one who did the actual work was fantastic. They were friendly. I had to contact them a few times to get the estimate. When they finished the job, I found something that was not quite finished yet. They did come back and finished it.
