  • The woman at the check-in desk couldn't have been nicer, and offered me a paper mask since I was coughing. (Why doesn't ever ER do this with patients so they don't spread germs around the waiting room?)
It was about 7pm when I arrived, and there were two other people waiting to see a doctor. Within ten minutes I was in a treatment room being evaluated, and within another five minutes I was being given treatment with a nebulizer. My entire time there - from arrival to departure, was under an hour, which is quite amazing since most of that time was spent speaking with a provider about my symptoms plus receiving a nebulizer treatment.
I will never go to an ER again unless it's a life-or-death situation. The immediate care clinic at Centegra earned my trust by their caring attitude, prompt service, and good communication. I like that they are also in the same building with medical imaging (x-ray, ultrasound, etc.).

  • We paid $20 for the prescription.  They always have the medication we need in stock.  Sometimes, we have to wait at the pharmacy counter.  They always don't have enough of cashier there, so it can be a long wait to get a prescription.

  • We were always pleased with the service and care provided by Dr. Emmons. However, I have rated the communications as poor. As its business policy, Centegra Primary Care forces all patients to communicate through voice mail messaging. This is by design. You call the office; they put you into the nurse’s voice mail where you leave a message. The nurse checks in, receives your voice mail, and goes over it with the health provider and gets back to you. Much can be lost in the translation. This is very frustrating if you need to leave a complex message. You are never sure on how much to say, or if it will be interpreted correct. You are not sure if anyone really gets the message or when. You don't know when they will get back to you. You may be caught in an endless loop of messaging and trying to reach each other. If you connect you may find that they didn't understand the message or the urgency and have to go back again and call you back later. This is enormously frustrating if you are hearing disabled as I am, or at work like my wife and you get the call back and it’s really important but you are in a meeting and cannot get the phone. It is also difficult when you get a call back but have utterly no privacy because you are at the supermarket. I am a hearing disabled person. For me, phone communication is a challenge at best and a complete disaster at worst. Playing phone tag with someone is deeply challenging for me. I dread calling. I have trouble reaching someone when the prescriptions are filled out incorrect and I need a correction. I have spoken to Centegra about this and they have not changed their processes. Apparently they cannot find a better way. The only way you can circumvent this horrible process is to get on the phone and argue and demand that you be put through to a live person. Do not give in or accept anything less. Demand that they get the person you need to speak to out of the room and to the phone. This is the way they have chosen to communicate and you will need to make them change. We have changed doctors but continue to use the provider as we live where there are not many choices.

  • They are polite. The price which you have to pay, the deductible is done well.  They are quick. They always ask if you have questions and they give you right to the pharmacist.
