    Productive Work Inc
They were prompt in responding to set up appt and prompt on time frame / day as promised. Did an excellent job Hooked our garden hoses back up after taking them off to use outside faucet for their washer. I asked what kind of cleaner they use - was concerned about my plants/flowers and was told a soap and no other customers had any problem. I did ask for a certificate of insurance and received it within next day in my email well before the work was scheduled to be performed.

Magic Windows & Gutters Professional Services Inc
Excellent job. Very professional team and great value for a first class job. They were very responsive, showed up on time and performed the tasks efficiently. Our gutters were a big problem, but their knowledge of how to clear and then clean has made a big difference. They also pressure washed our driveway and front steps, which were transformed from dirty into looking like new; truly makes a big difference to the curb appeal of our house.

    Deck Tech
Deck Tech did a fantastic job when I hired them to come out and re-do the mess another contractor left. Sadly I had to give a grade of "lousy" to the first service provider I hired to clean, sand and stain my deck ... yet they had a A grade on Angie's List. After that first provided power washed the deck, it was a blotchy mess with dirt and old sealant left behind. In the 22 years of consistently cleaning and sealing the deck, we never had such a bad experience. So then Deck Tech was recommended by our neighbor. Their work was totally amazing! They applied a chemical wash that left the deck as light and bright as if it had just been newly built. Then they sanded and stained it masterfully with a strong guarantee. Deck Tech saved the day and we were finally able to enjoy our beautifully-treated deck for the remainder of the summer. The stain will continue to protect our deck for several years before it has to be redone.

    Deck Solutions LLC
Before now I always shared comments about providers hired from Angies list very quickly after their service was performed. Thats because I was always thrilled with the outcome and couldnt wait to tell the world. But in the case of Deck Solutions our experience was totally unacceptable and it took a few months to get everything squared away. Following that, I just didnt feel good about this feedback so I put it off. But its time now and I owe it to the community to post our experience. Our wooden deck is about 22 years old and in great shape thanks to our continuing to clean and seal it annually with power washing and a new coat of clear sealant. In the past we hired a low-cost one-man operation and all was well. But after all the years, although the deck remained strong and initially looked good after annual cleanings and new seal coat, it collected dirt quickly, didnt look nice for long. So this year we decided to look into getting a top flight deck maintenance company to clean, sand, and stain it. After getting estimates from several Angies list providers, we decided on the most expensive estimate, Deck Solutions, because we liked what they had to say about their process and the high marks from Angies list members. The charge was $1,452 of which we paid $726 for them to start the job. After step one .... power washing the deck .... we were stunned and deeply disappointed by how much dirt and old sealant was left on the wood. The entire deck was an uneven, blotchy mess with some parts clean-ish and other parts horribly dark. Deck Solutions sent out someone to inspect and he said it was the best they could do. There was no way we were going to proceed to the next step at that point. We paid about $200 the previous year for power wash and sealant where the wash left the wood surface clean and bright. How on earth could $726 buy us a power wash by a top-rated company that left the deck looking worse than it ever had in 22 years? We told Deck Solutions not to come back until we determined our next step. Then, we had 3 totally independent firms come and look at the deck. They all said they had no idea what was done to make the deck look so blotchy and uneven. We then hired the deck maintenance company our neighbor had been using for years and we liked the look of his deck. (Buy the way, his deck was built at the same time as ours, with the same material, by the same company.) It turned out to be a more expensive charge, but those folks gave the deck a chemical wash that made it look like brand new bright, clean wood getting into every nook and cranny. And the finished product after sanding and staining is masterful with a superior guarantee. So we told Deck Solutions not to come back and asked for our $726 to be refunded. They were not happy and pushed back. But they did finally agree saying that because we paid by check they would refund with a check --- but that it would take a couple of months for the refund. It took every bit of a couple of months, but we did get the amount refunded in full. Lesson here .... pay with a credit card and have more protection. I have photos of the results of the wash by both Deck Solutions and the other firm we hired to re-do their work. I also have video of the wash process as it was being re-done by the second firm. We believe the difference is apparent and speaks for itself. Sorry to not be able to give a good grade to this provider as I have to everyone else I hired through Angies list. I had built up so much confidence in A-grade Angies List providers, I never thought this would happen. Every time Ive read a one-off bad remark in a sea of great ones for a service provider, I suspected it was the customer who was wrong ... not anymore. :-(

They did an incredible job. Our house looks completely different. It looks like a new house and we get so many complements on it. I will update with pictures. The work they did completely brightened up the house on the inside and out, and they do very high quality work.

    American Washing
Not well. The worst experience ever. This is not a good company - be very careful in dealing with them. The "operations manager" called and said he was sorry. His "team" was not supposed to come to our house he said "because you cannot clean after a rain." Those were his words. I told him about dirt (such as bird droppings) that were not cleaned. He said that they would come back and completely re-do the work. He said they would be there Friday or Saturday of last week. I waited both days and they never showed. Today I received a call from the "girl in the office" who said "the owner" decided not to come back. They offered to reduce the price by half for the work they did. So for 45 minutes of work (and 20 minutes of arguing with me about what they missed and smoking on my property), American wants me to pay $430 in addition to the deposit of $218 - not to mention my time and aggravation. In my view, American did not perform the services I requested. The roof is not clean. The siding has obvious dirt in the areas they did not cover. They did not use a ladder to get the second level of the house so I don't know how they thought their ladder could reach that high. I am not surprised to find this is actually a roofing refurbishing company. This is a huge rip-off. The worst part is the workers act like bullies and the "girl in the office" went from "there is no way they could clean in 45 minutes - I will handle this and get them right out to correct the issues) to "screaming at me on the phone and telling me that it was my fault I felt I had to supervise." I wonder if she realized that this is my home we are talking about. You send these two characters to my house (that is putting it as nicely as I can) and expect me to not be concerned? This is just horrible. Homeowners beware!!!! I see there are other complaints - do not be taken as I was.

    Smudge Free Cleaning Service
I made the appt. for Friday afternoon but due to weather, we had to reschedule.  I was told someone would be at my home between 9:30-10am.  Corey arrived shortly after 10am.  Nice guy, friendly.  He did a great job.  He was able to clean concrete with years worth of mold.  He also cleaned a little extra for us which was appreciated.

    Above the Rest
There were a ;lot of reschedules due to weather, obviously out of their control. They would send a message for reschedule but the dates were spread out. They always showed up if the weather cooperated and completed within two days as expected. Very professional and courteous thru the whole process.

    CertaPro Painters of Naperville
Patrick came out to measure shortly after we contacted CertaPro.  We received the proposal shortly thereafter.  After comparing a few bids, a contract was signed.  Everything was done smoothly.  Jamie and his crew arrived punctually on the agreed upon first day to do the power washing.  The exterior painting took two days.  The crew was very personable and professional.  Before we paid for this part of the job, I walked around the house with Jamie.  This was sort of a cursory look.  I wasn't really able to inspect things up close.  I would have appreciated the opportunity to slowly inspect the job and then perhaps the following day pay the invoice.
As it turned out we discovered an issue with the paint job several weeks after the painting was completed.  The office staff was very receptive to our problem.  Jamie and the crew arrived the very next day and took care of the problem.
The same crew did the inside painting a few weeks later.   The first day was spent sanding and patching.  They had to deal with a lot of windows and door frames, so the painting went slowly. They could have been a bit more careful with masking woodwork and in sealing off rooms to prevent sanding dust from penetrating into the house.  But overall we are very happy with the work they did.

    Dave's Deck Wash And Staining
Dave and his crew did a fantastic job cleaning our front porch and walkway. We couldn't believe the difference after they finished. It looks beautiful! They were prompt and courteous. We will use them again for sure.
