Insulation reviews in Wheeling

    All Comfort Insulation Inc
We are very impressed with the quality of the job. Steve acted very professionally. First, we liked that he provided detailed list of what could be done to enhance attic insulation, and the price for each item in it. Second, he suggested not to do insulation right away, but wait and do it after we get our roof tiling renewed. As we found later it was a very good piece of advice. We followed his recommendations, then waited a few more years for a cold winter to provide the feedback. After two winters with new insulation we are completely satisfied with the job quality.

The installation technicians did a great job. They actually did more than I thought they were going do. The consultant, while knowledgeable, seemed inattentive. I had to be sure he understood what I was saying, he caught it, and we were on the same page. I had to be cautious about that, there were a few instances where I noticed this problem. This was my first time doing contract work in years, so now I am very careful they do not lose track of what I have in mind and we are on the same page.

    All Quality Inc
We decided to work with All Quality, Inc primarily because of the owner, Ed Buckley. Ed has a genuine demeanor, and we wanted to work with someone we could easily communicate with and follow through with our agreed upon contract. He presented us with multiple options on our project and even gave us a discount for being an Angie's Member. His crew arrived promptly on the dates we set up. The job required the knowledge of carpentry, foundation, concrete, siding and insulation and if we had a concern he listened and fixed it in a timely manner. We called him numerous times and he NEVER seemed annoyed. Our job took about a week to complete and he was on site, at our house, everyday. He takes pride in his customer service and it shows. The work performed was up to our expectations.

Stop Wasting Energy At Home Inc
First, Mike was late when coming for the estimate. Then we had date schedule and Mike called me the morning of the appointment to say his truck broke down and coild not make the appointment. We had to reschedule. He was late for the rescheduled appointment . Then Mike installed insulation on top of a light fixture and caused a fire in my attic . This is what the Fire Department has told me. I have water damage on 3 floors of my townhouse due to the Fire Department trying to put out the fire. I will not be able to move back into my townhouse for a min of 2 months. Possible longer . My insurance company has hired a lawyer and served noticed to this company. Do not use this company. My insurance company is going to attemptd to recoup some of the money for the repairs to my home. Not only did he put insulation on top of the light fixtures but they found that some of the insulation was blown into the chimney of my fireplace. If this winter I went to start a fire in my fireplace I would of had a fire because of the insulation that eas I there. I do not recommend this company. Do not use this company!!!!!!!!!!!!

    American Insulation
As scheduled, Owen and his team showed up right on time.  They began working immediately, and I couldn't be any happier with the job they did.  They spent a couple hours on the removal process alone, and asked me to take a look to see if I was satisfied before they installed the new insulation.  While I was up there, they also showed me all the penetrations that they sealed and the disinfectant that they applied.  After the new insulation was installed I took a quick peak while they were packing up their truck.  WOW! What a difference!  Now, it's clean and up to code! It looks great and feels great as well because I no longer wake up sweating. (It really helped control not only the temperature throughout the entire home, but especially on the second floor where we sleep)  If anyone is considering an insulation project for their attic I highly recommend American Insulation!  Such professionals!

Bob couldn't have been more professional.  Unfortunately we had to reschedule several times due to weather conditions. Even though neither he or I can control that, he offered to take $50 off of installation since we had to keep changing the date.  Everything went how he said it would.  When he arrived at my home he explained what he'd be doing and how long it would take.  He also informed me of how bad of a job the last installer did with my old fan.  The electric was done all wrong and had actually created a HUGE fire hazard.  He fixed the issue for me and installed the new fan.  He also gave me an excellent quote on the blown in insulation job that needs to be done in my attic.  I plan on calling him within a couple weeks to get that attic insulated. I'm glad, and lucky to have found Bob on Angie's List and would recommend him to anyone in a heart beat!  Not only is he a professional at his work, but he treats you with respect and he's got a great personality.

    Green Attic Insulation
We wanted an est. on 2 attics for insulation and an unfinished crawlspace. We live in a split level home so we have two attic areas. The service man peeked his head in the attics and never went in them. He said, "Some areas look good and some don't". Then he said the crawlspace wasn't worth doing anything. We basically spent $250.00 for nothing. He said "If you want to add some insulation to the top attic it would be around $1,500.00". Outrageos price for a small area.We now have discovered ventaltion issues that cause moisture problems. He never said anything about that. He basically came out for his check of $250.00

    Illinois Insulators
I was really dragging this project out because of other work that needed to completed before the insulation so I couldn't have cared less about them calling me back in a timely manner. That being said expect a few days to go by before you get a response in some cases. Also, I had one of those Nicor Home Energy Audits done beforehand. I HIGHLY recommend an Energy Audit of your home. My only gripe, and this is something that can be said about 99% of the contractors out there for any type of work, is that they don't necessarily see the big picture. Since I had the Energy Audit I knew I wanted my crawl space rim joists insulated. If I hadn't mentioned this they never would have even brought it up and I would have been none the wiser. So they did it at my request for an extra fee but I wish they pointed this out to me since I'm the layman and shouldn't be the one who is pointing out how to take a comprehensive approach. However, every contractor I have worked with has some level of tunnel vision so I guess it goes with the territory.  All in all, I'd give them a solid B and will look to use them again for the right price on my next insulation project.

    USA Insulation of Chicago
My natural gas bills are in the range of $200 per month.  I have an older, small ranch home with just a crawl space, and even though I keep the thermostat at 65 degrees in the winter, I notice that the furnace never seems to shut off.  I had no idea that I was literally heating the whole outdoors (please don't tell my Dad) because the insulation in the house was inadequate and in some areas, non-existent.  Mike from USA came to my home and we toured the house and attic so that we could both have an idea of the extent of the work that would be needed.  Among many things that stood out to me was the fact that this company uses only products made in America (yes, that seems obvious given their name, I know).  In addition, all the crew members who came to my home to do the work were on-time, professional, knowledgeable, humorous, and kind.  They loved my dogs, which is always a good sign for me, and were tuned in to the fact that I work nights and hadn't gone to bed yet from the previous night's shift.  They worked hard to finish the job so I could get some sleep - they were done by 2:30pm!
Also, I was very grateful to Mike for another reason:  I was going to have a humidifier installed on my furnace since I wanted to have some moisture in the heating system.  Mike told me not to do that yet and to wait for at least one full year after the insulation was installed to add any humidity to the house since the insulation would help tremendously with moisture loss.  He saved me at least $400 with that advice!  Thank you, Mike.
I would recommend USA Insulation to anyone who is staring at his gas bill and wondering what the heck is going on.  We all know natural gas prices get higher every year, but now at least I'll know that what I'm paying for is an actual cost and not the price of heating my neighborhood.

When I get my first gas bill that is reflective of the insullation, I'll write to say what I find.

Great guys, great company!  Thank you USA!
