    GP Company
I had GP Glass install 3/8" glass shower doors to replace my 19 year old aluminum and clouded glass enclosure.  I found GP Glass & Greg Putek on Angie's List and was impressed with the ratings that he received from hundreds of customers.  I got 2 bids and GP Glass was a few hundred less.  I accepted the offer to remove the old shower enclosure for $100.00 off and had everything clean and ready when the installers arrived.  The installation team knew their trade very well, with the installation taking 2 1/2 hours, and the results are phenomenal.  We should have done this upgrade years ago.
Greg Putek and his team are knowledgeable professionals, with beautiful results and a great price.  Tell Greg & the GP Glass Team customer Tom in Carol Stream is very happy, and the wife is even happier!

    GP Company
They were very professional. They responded very quickly. They gave us an approximate quote right away in response to some simple text messages that we exchanged (including pictures of the job site). They then showed up on time to give us a formal quote. They were 25% lower in price than the next closest bidder. The owner seemed exceptionally knowlegable. The installers, while not as knowlegable as the owner, were also very good. They were neat and orderly.

    A & G Glass & Mirror, Inc
We had used this company for a simple tub enclosure in another bathroom last year. That went well. No problems. So we asked them to do a more complicated project. Yuck.

The frameless shower door was installed in such a way as to leave exposed the black mounting tape used to fix the glass to the tile -- expensive tile, By the way. We were unhappy with this and asked that they correct it. They came back and added caulk, saying that the best fix would be to remove the panel and re-install. We said, yes, do that. And we expected they would return to do the job properly.

It has taken a couple months of back and forth but we have now been assured the matter will be resolved. They made clear that customer satisfaction is important. We are looking forward to a proper re-installation of the problem panel soon.

    American Glass Top Co
    An excellent experience.
An appointment was made to measure all pieces and the guys were right on time. They did an accurate job creating the templates for a rather large and unusually shaped desk top (for a home). They were very neat, polite and friendly. They provided a written detailed quote and I accepted it on the spot.
They provided an estimated date for when the materials would be ready. I received a courteous call to schedule an installation when the materials were ready. The installers arrived on time, the glass panels (rather large) were very securely wrapped and were delivered with absolutely no defects. The guys were very good about prepping the wood surfaces properly (getting furniture polish off the wood surfaces so that it wouldn't "haze" later), cleaning both sides of the glass, and arranging it perfectly on all surfaces.
Since this was a higher-end office set, we were concerned about not only protecting the tops but having it look good. They recommended a tinted glass and they were absolutely right. The look (and effect) are very striking.
I would use this company again and recommend them with absolutely no hesitation.
    Well done!

    Thermalcraft Inc
Very responsive from the first visit and quote through installation.  No pressure, professional and good value for the product.  The owner proposed the right products for the market/neighborhood.  Installers were friendly and neat for the most part.  Glass was broken on most windows during removal.  Not sure if that is SOP but I found quite a bit of glass in my flower beds during fall clean up.
One window was delivered the incorrect size.  Took approx 3 weeks for the new window to arrive.  I understand, mistakes happen and Thermalcraft handled it very well.
All in all a great experience.  Very competitively priced and great service.
I obtained 2 other quotes.  Both were very overpriced.  Once was high pressure
Very happy with my decision to work with Thermalcraft

    GP Company
Everyone we dealt with at GP Glass Company was very professional, courteous and made sure all our needs were met.  Their pricing was very competitive compared to three other contractors that we received bids from.  I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for glass/shower work.

    MOBILE GLASS SERVICE
Sent an email via Angie's List to see if they could repair a patio door and cost, I included my phone number so he could call me if he had questions or prefered. NO REPLY ... no response via email (yes I checked my junk mail) and no phone call or message. Oh well, I will move on to someone else who wants ny business and money.

    Creative Mirror & Shower
I would not recommend this company. We had a leak with our shower doors, and the plumber recommended this company to us. First, they have an estimate scam. They tell you that they will come out to give a free estimate. The person that came out for our estimate had a business card that identified him as a Vice President, so I would think he would be able to identify what type of shower doors we would need (our shower is very plain, no special features). He said that he was not sure what we needed, that we needed a "specialist" to come out and tell us what we needed, at a cost of $125.00. If you buy the shower doors from them, the $125 is applied as a credit. Went to showroom to pick out shower doors. Pamela directed us to the shower doors. We picked our choice in a few minutes. As she was writing up our order to spend $1,400.00 another customer walked in. This customer was about to leave and she kept telling him to sit down and wait, she would be right with him. She kept talking to him, asking him what he was looking for. I should have left right then, realizing that this is their level of customer service. We did not receive even 5 minutes of her devoted attention, she was too busy trying to keep others from leaving. The "specialist" had recommended that we get our grout done before having the doors installed. The grout was done, but it was not done correctly, so we have to wait for it to be redone. We called the day before our doors were to be delivered to delay for regrouting time, and we were told that our doors were already on the truck, they would charge us $300.00 to delay.

CARLSON GLASS & MIRROR & SHOWER DOORS
Carlson came to my home to measure the window, ordered, delivered and installed the low-E glass, and replaced the exterior wooden sill.  The only thing they failed to do as promised was to prime the new sill, but we didn't really worry too much about that.  I have used them before for glass work and will use them again.

    WINDOW & DOOR CONNECTION INC
I called the office and Dan gave me an estimate over the phone. Several days later, Mike came by to measure the window and Dan's estimate was spot on. I paid a deposit and Mike ordered the glass. He told me it would take about 10 days to get the glass. Two weeks later, Mike called and said the glass had arrived. I scheduled a time for him to come over and replace the window glass. A couple of days later, Mike and Greg arrived exactly when they said they would and did the work. It took about an hour and the window looked great. Mike, Greg and Dan were very friendly and easy to work with. Great company!
