    F & M MASONRY CONSTRUCTION INC.
After a lot of research, pricing and checking references, we chose Mario and F&M Masonry to rebuild our front landing and steps. We could not be happier with the result. Mario is extremely professional and really knows his stuff. He made sure we understood there were several ways to handle our issues and was clear why he was recommending to do it his way. Our front steps were literally peeling away from our landing. Additionally, the pavers that had been inappropriately used as surface material by a previous owner were constantly coming loose. The old landing had also been built partially covering two outlets, making them inaccessible. The big unknown was whether it was just the steps that were a problem or the entire landing. The result was many bids coming in ridiculously high as contractors assumed they'd have to rebuild the entire landing in addition to the steps. Mario, however, took the time to remove enough old material to see that the problem was just the steps. In rebuilding the step, F&M took the corrects steps of anchoring their newly poured steps to the landing using rebar and other appropriate materials. He made sure to explain each step of the process. As he put it, "your steps will be here long after we are all gone!" Another example of the attention to detail was that Manny himself was on site almost the entire time, and, he personally designed the pattern of the bluestone ahead of time on paper, then again with the bluestone to get our approval before they were cemented into place. While F&M was neither the least expensive nor the most expensive option, I was most concerned about the job being done correctly. While certainly not a bargain, relative to other bids and given the high level of attention to doing the job correctly, I found the price to be "good". My only very minor complaint is that some of the mortar between the bluestone "spilled" onto the stone and looks a bit sloppy in places. There was also cement splatter on our front door (I've since repainted the door). I called and he is supposed to be sending someone out to try and clean up the mortar on the landing. It's minor but is the one negative to an otherwise perfect job. Overall, I would highly recommend Manny and F&M for your hardscape work. The end result is a gorgeous front landing and steps which we've been getting many compliments on. Our needing to repair our stairs was the result of a previous owner going for the cheapest option, but not the correct one, in building the steps. With F&M Masonry, your job will be done correctly and on time. We could really tell how much Manny cares about his work and you will appreciate having someone who gives such personal attention. It was a pleasure to work with Manny.

    AMERICAN MUDJACKING CO
We coordinated the scope of work and fee and they were very clear about how long we needed to wait before driving on the work areas. I would recommend them for this type of work and would use them again if the need arises.

We have 2 sets of steps to our front porch that go in perpendicular directions. Both of these sets of steps were badly chipped and broken. I had previously done annual patching myself which would always break away each year. This crew completely broke away all the bad concrete, followed by extensive grinding and power washing to remove everything that was loose. They then use an engineered cement product (Ardex) to fill and completely cover all surfaces. It dries amazingly fast and is then covered with a sealant. The whole job took about 8 hours. Every other year you purchase the special sealant online and reseal it. The color is a little different than normal concrete, but I think it's fine. It's more gray. We are very pleased with the result. The other estimates we had were covering with bluestone: $8000 and replacing the entire stoop: $19,000. I think that this looks great and we obviously saved a lot!

    Dave's Concrete
Best experience ever! I had the work done last fall. Ruben found a contractor to jack the garage up so he could replace the cracked floor and footings. Most other contractors just wanted to bulldoze and start over. The garage was in decent shape andbthe job turned out fantastic. He also removed and replaced the entire concrete driveway. Ruben is very professional and wonderful to work with. I definitely recommend him highly.

    Dave's Concrete
Outstanding!  Ruben helped find a carpenter who would jack the garage up so the concrete could be replaced without demolishing the garage and replacing it.  He and his crew did an outstanding job on putting in a new foundation wall and then replacing the floor of the garage.  It looks great and they did a fantastic job doing the job well.
Ruben was a pleasure to deal with all the way through this project.  He and his crew were organized, efficient, very skilled at their job, and courteous at all times. I would definitely recommend Dave?s Concrete as well as use them in future projects.

They were great, they were very careful with the neighbors yard.  They raised the height of the walk to the correct level at all the entrances.  We were very satisfied with the end result and the price was the best out of all the estimates we received.  The crew was very polite and made sure my Mother-in law  could get in and out of the house during the entire process.  We would use Dave's again.

    Aqua Pro Power Washers Inc
The owner responded to my message very quickly, and, while talking with him, he encouraged me to get other quotes in addition to his.  Due to problems with the original installation of my driveway, I did not have the service performed, but I appreciated the very quick response and thought it was very professional of the owner to recommend multiple quotes.  Other contractors I've dealt with could learn a lesson in good customer service from this company.

    FRED'S QUALITY CONCRETE
Not well. I gave the job to Fred because he is my nephew. My sister told me he needed the work and could handle it. I gave him $2373.00 to start, none of which was invested in the project. He did not show up the day he was to start. When he showed up late the next day, all he had was a pick up truck, an electric jack hammer, some lumber for forms, his teenage daughter and two friends as laborors. He made no arangement for disposal of the old concrete. I should have put an end to it there. I called and got a 10 yard dumpster costing me an additional $250.00. He promised he'd have all the old concrete removed, the site graded and the forms set before the day was done. That didn't happen. He only removed the driveway and then went home. Told me he'd be back early the next day to finish. The only person to show up early was the guy that took the dumpster away. The old walk was still in place. At this point, kin or not, he had to go. I paid him off just to rid my self of the situation.

    R A S Concrete Inc
I contracted with another contractor to do the above work. He proved unreliable and had to be let go. I was desperate, my drive was gone and my yard was a mess. Ric was booked solid for two months but he subcontracted the work to someone he knew that was looking for a job. Within three days the work was done.

Had a very good experience with this contract. Mr. Selle responded to my call in a timely manner. Once it was agreed, he would do the job, it was done in a very timely manner. He gave me a time, when his workman would come and they were here on the dot. The old patio was broken up and taken away on Monday, July 3rd, and the new patio poured on July 5th. The work was excellent and I am most pleased with the results.
