Buskirk Tree Service and Landscape Inc
These guys were excellent. They turned up early, worked hard, were professional, polite, and friendly. They cleaned up very well ; even cut up the trunk into logs for my fireplace. I recommend them 120%

    Flynn's Tree Service
Zeke did exactly what he said he was going to do. We had a fence and houses that were close to tree, but none of it was damaged at all. My yard wasn't destroyed either. I will use these guys again, even though the price was higher than most. They do quality work.

    Designer Concepts Landscape Architecture Inc
Great company to work with. Easily the most professional contracting company I've worked with. It does come at a slightly higher price than some of the local competition, but I'm a firm believer in getting what you pay for. Other contractors have left extra materials, garbage, etc that needed to be cleaned up afterwards. Not these guys! They cleaned up everything, each day. I'm very pleased with our experience with this company. The schedule slipped out by about two weeks, but they were very upfront about how likely this was to happen since the landscaping industry is typically weather dependent. We did have to call a week prior to the original date to ask what the new date was.
Initial sit down and discussion with Ryan went very smoothly. Very personable and he really tries to understand what you're after both in the short term and the long term. He was great working within our budget and making sure we got the biggest impact within our budget.
Landscaping took about 2 days, total cost was $3,400 for a maple tree planted, full garden installation around the yard lamp post, full garden installation across the front of the house, and reworking a small existing patch of landscaping.
I found these guys on Angie's list, I'm very glad I did!

    Alive Tree Care
Michael and his wife are both very knowledgeable and professional.  They always give us honest advice - even telling us last year to stop trying to save one of our trees, that is was a lost cause.  Some companies could have kept taking our money to keep trying to treat it.  Michael showed us why the tree was dying a slow death and said not to waste any money - that it was not a curable problem.  We appreciate their honesty.  They have been able to help with many tree problems over the years and the trees are flourishing.

Durdel and Sons Landscaping & Tree Service
The owner did not show up for the first appt. When I called, he did not seem to remember the appt. at all. After that, everything was great. The price was reasonable and they did a great job. They did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves. There was hardly a stray branch on the ground.

    King Tree Specialists, Inc.
King Tree Service removed an fruit tree for us. They did a good job, cleaned up completely after themselves, and back filled with soil--all at a reasonable price. They also pruned a large tree in our front-yard by "lifting up" the lowest branches so they wouldn't interfere with vehicles, sidewalk, or house. They have pruned higher branches of that same tree for us in the past and have done so in a tasteful, natural manner. Unlike with some tree services, we haven't worried that they would lop off big branches or over prune. (Please note, work was done at my home but I marked provider location for security reasons.)

    Alive Tree Care
This is a wonderful company. They are knowledgeable, professional, and believe it or not a real person answers the phone. It's so hard to find companies these days that don't act like they're doing you a favor by at the very least returning a phone call let alone actually doing the work. I had contacted 3 other companies and never heard a word from them. They evidently didn't need or want the job. By the way all 3 are here on Angie's List so be careful. I can't say enough good things about Alive Tree Care. They did what they said they would do and exactly when they said they would do it. There was absolutely no mess in my yard. I will definitely use them again and it's too bad there isn't a grade above an A.

    Andrews Tree Service
They called one morning and came out. Corey was not there, but he sent 3 men. They said the skid steer/backhoe was on another job. So my fireplace did not get torn down. I asked the team lead about the stumps, as I want to fill in an area with rock and need the stumps removed. He said Corey would call (he even told Corey on the phone that I wanted an estimate on the stumps) and give me an estimate. Corey never called and I left him a message about the stumps and the fireplace and he never returned my call. They did a good job with the trees but I feel he never completed the job concerning the fireplace. I will not use them in the future due to the job not being completed and not calling me back!

    Tri County Tree Inc
Tree came down during a storm and there were lots of trees in the area down. Band W still came out to give me a bid the day I called them. Came back the next day and moved the downed bit of tree from the driveway. As I said, lots of trees were down so it took them a day or two to come back and finish the job. But they got the obstruction out of the way immediately and, when it was my turn, they came when they said they would and very neatly cleaned up the downed bit of the tree, took down what remained standing and completely cleaned up behind themselves.
    Very pleased with the service.

    King Tree Specialists, Inc.
I had been referred to King Tree by several people whom I knew from a local independent garden center.  Brian King was able to provide me with an estimate and answered my questions about estimate details succinctly.  Brian was very easy to work with and was not pushy or arrogant; he was very reasonable and intelligent about what needed to happen in order for my landscape project to move quickly.
The most amazing part, to me, was how quickly and efficiently the crew worked.  At 7:00 a.m., at my request, the crew arrived with 4 trucks including an aerial bucket truck, a chip truck with a chipper, another truck with an all-terrain loader, and another with a large stumpgrinder.  By 7:50 a.m. the 18" Honeylocust was down, chipped, logs loaded, parking lot raked and cleared and they were off.  The stump crew was left behind and working fast at removing all of the root mass and stump left from this monster of a tree.  I couldn't believe it....50 minutes and all that was left was stumpgrinding!!!  The crew operated very systematically and safely and were very thorough in all of their cleanup.
One thing I noticed about King Tree's crew that I haven't seen elsewhere:  they wear protective gear for safety (helmets, eye-wear, ear protection, chaps...the whole bit).  I have NEVER since seen another tree company in Central Illinois operate with their standard of safety, communication, and systematic operation.
I call King Tree Specialists whenever I have the smallest questions about tree care.
