    WindowWorks Inc
They did a fabulous job. The salesperson who came out was great. The window installers did a good job. The gutters and soffit installers did an excellent job. My only suggestion is that the guys who do the window replacements needs to do a better job preparing the area, so they don't have so much glass to pick up afterwards. We are absolutely thrilled with the overall work they did and how great our house looks. I would definitely use them in the future.

    Trela Roofing and Remodeling
Our house and garage has been completely transfrormed and looks brand new.  Our home and garage looks great. We are very happy with the outcome. Everyone says the their can't believe the transformation and  our home and garage looks really nice.

    Trela Estimate and Signing Contact:
Trela salesman Mike came out and we explained what we wanted done. Mike took all the measurments for the roof, siding, gutters, windows, trim work and exterior kitchen door and garage service door on the house and the garage.
We want over briefly the type of materials of materials Trela used.  Trela sent as estimate on the above work.  We contacted Trela since we were interested. Mike and Ryan came out and we went over the estimate in detail and the materials to be used on the house and garage. Since we were having so much done we had Trela come out again to go over the estimates and materials to be sure we had everything right.  Ryan and Mike both came out and we went over the contract line by line and the warranty information before we signed the contract.

Complete roof tear off and installation of new roof on the house and two car garage was completed in a day and 1/2. The team leader Rich and his crew were professional.  All roofing debris was hauled away and the job site kept clean. Rich and his crew take pride in their work and paid attention to the smallest detail. Did not meet the roofing team members under Rich but I can tell you they worked very hard and efficiently.
Roof Looks Great.  The roof looks like a cedar shake but it is a self sealing vinly.
The Roof makes the house and garage Pop.

We contracted for the upgraded roof product CertainTeed with a Life time warranty and it was well worth the extra cost. The benefits of the upgraded roof out weigh the small amount of additional cost. The upgrade was listed on the estimate. Their was no pressure from the Trela to upgrade.  The standard roof was of excellent quality also from Certain Teed.
Comments from passing cars when we are outside: They slow down or stop to look and you can hear their comments. I really like that roof, wow look at the roof, or they asked us about the roof. Everyone has positive comments on the roof. (the other work had not been completed yet.)

Gutters and Downspouts:  New gutters and downspouts on the house and garage. All work well and pleasing to the eye.

Replaced eight windows in the house and two windows in the garage.  The first bedroom has a huge sliding window.  The second bedroom has a huge sliding window with a large double hang window. The Third bedroom has two large double hang windows. The two bathroom have a double hang window. The kitchen has a huge sliding windows. The windows in the living room and dinning room are part of a low bearing wall and did not need to be replaced and go very well with the window we replaced. The cost of the window installation for windows with vinly white exterior trim and white interior trim was very reasonable. Their are a lot of large windows in the house.  The quality of these windows are excellent. We upgraded the interior trim to a vinly light oak. The upgrade of the window was our decsion. We had looked at the window website and really liked the light oak vinly interior trim. Trela never mention the upgrade and seemed to be surprised. The upgrade was not on the original estimate so we had to get the windows re- priced. The light oak vinly trim made the windows the focal point of each room. We really like the new look. The comments are WOW. The trim around the interior windows was expertly cut.  The exterior window trim was clad in aluminum was expertly done.

Tyvek was installed under the siding on the house and garage. We upgraded the siding to the CertainTeed Cedar Board Insulated Siding. The upgrade wa detailed on the estimate but their was no presure to contract for this. The siding looks like real wood but the siding is vinly The siding was expertly installed. The siding boards all line up.  The siding boards on the side of the house match up with the siding boards on the back of the house.  The siding boards on the back of the house match up with the other side of the house and continues to the front of the house. The fit and finish is amazing.  Kevin the team leader for everthing except the roof explain to how the house is water tight for the siding, windows and gutters. Kevin explained all the layers of protection their used to us. We had the opportunity to watch Trela carpenter Bill bend the aluminum for the exterior trim. Bill would measure and bend the aluminum and the pieces would fit like a glove.  The team members under Kevin (leader for siding, soffits, gutters, windows, and kitchen and garage serice door) were Bill, Jaine and Kenny. Everone who worked on our house took pride in their work. Their attention to details was very important to all. We asked all team members questions (not just the team leader) and sometimes we would ask the question again for clarification and received a postive response from all.

    Robert's General Masonry Repair
It was completed in a timely manner. It took him only one day to complete the work and he came to look at it and give an estimate right away. The area had a lot of storms and the power was out for 3-4 days so given the circumstances he was very professional and did a great job. He is truly an artisan. He gave a great explanation of what services he was to perform both before and after he did the work.

    Robert's General Masonry Repair
Initial contact was done by email and phone which I appreciate as I live 31 miles from my rental property.  Robert came by the property, checked it out, and gave me an estimate without my having to be there.  He really understood my need to keep the cost down and only repair what was needed.  On the scheduled day he arrived early and started right in.  His tuckpointing is a work of art and blends in beautifully.  The repair work on the faux stone was better than expected and now the house is water tight again.  Very nice man.  Would hire again in a heartbeat.

    Robert's General Masonry Repair

Robert arrived early with his crew and was done by noon. They were quiet (if it can be quiet work) and very professional. I never daw them sitting around altho it was terribly hot and humid. About 11:30 he called me out to show me what they had done and it was beautiful work. He had also tilted a lintel so that it no longer angles toward the house, causing water to gather behind the bricks inside the wall.

He replaced several bricks that he noticed were coming loose. All in all a great job.

Kirk was prompt, efficient, and his fair. He returned my call in a reasonable time frame, set up and appointment, and completed the job the same day. He remoed two old damaged fence posts, dug holes for two new posts, replaced posts and repaired the crossbars on a very damaged old fence section. He was very hard-working, efficient and professional. He charged $200.00 for labor and worked very h****** a very hot day for about three hours. I will definitely be calling him again!

    Alpha 1 Construction
They were fine and I liked that they did the job. The job that they did is now cracked again, but it wasn't anything they did. It was the movement of the foundation. They were good and cleaned up pretty much everything, but they could barely speak English. They might have one person who spoke enough English to get through the job, but you have to listen to him carefully to see what he's really saying.

    Dependable Construction
With the Deal set to expire on Aug. 22, I contacted Joe  of JBDependable Construction in mid-July. He came out to look at the property a few days later and sent a proposal about a week after that.  With time running out, some travel coming up and budgeting concerns, I told him we'd like to have the work done in September if he would still honor the deal. He said he would if he had another job in the area. I couldn't have a contract that said "Work will be done in September if the workers are in the area", so I asked for a contract with a deadline that he was comfortable with, and I got him to put in the $200 credit for the Deal. The estimate was for 10 man-hours, or $500, plus $35 for materials. The proposal, with an Oct. 15 deadline for the work, was agreed to during the third week of August. During the evening of Aug. 31 I was notified by email that the work would be done sometime on Tuesday Sept. 4. After a couple more emails over the weekend I was told that they would decide their schedule on Tuesday morning. At around 8 on the morning of the 4th I got a call telling me that the crew was on the way. He didn't know when they would arrive, but they had left an hour ago. Good thing I got out of bed then, because the crew arrived within 15 minutes of the call.
I thought it would be noisy, messy work, but it was much more quiet and less messy than I had expected. The crew of three worked quickly. I was going out to take a look when they started up the truck - they were about to leave without saying anything! I consider that unprofessional. They should have let me know that they were done, invited me to look it over, and given me any care or maintenance information I might need. The wall looks very good and I am very pleased with the work.
It took the crew only 1.5 hours, or 4.5 man-hours, to do the work. This was less than half the estimate and put us in a somewhat awkward position. I called and said that I figured we owed for 4.5 man-hours ($225) plus $35 for materials, minus our $200, for a total of $60. He agreed, though I think somewhat reluctantly. If the job had come close to the estimate we would have paid the full amount, but the actual job was not close to the estimated man-hours.
In summary, the actual work was fine, we are grateful that the deal was honored beyond the deadline, and we got a fair price. I would have liked more than 15 minutes' notice before the crew showed up, and I would have liked the crew to have let me know when they were done.

    Robert's General Masonry Repair
I found this company on Angie's List, and gave them a call to estimate new tuckpointing for our home. Robert returned my call a couple of days later. He stated he would stop by and work up an estimate within a few days. His estimate was a far greater value than the other estimate we received.  Robert and his assistant arrived Saturday morning and worked steadily all day grinding out the old mortar from the brickwork. Early Sunday morning they arrived to tuckpoint, and completed the job and their cleanup by noon. The tuckpointing looks fabulous; they did a marvelous job!

    AAA-1 Masonry & Tuckpointing Inc
Contact was prompt as was inspection of job to be done. Estimate was given and in line with subsequent estimate by others.
Work was delayed by weather and by repairer's busy schedule. It took several weeks for the job to start.
Work consisted of repairing age and weather worn mortar joints on a 55 yr old dwelling following foundation repair by others which included installation of two piers to stop the sinking of a corner of the house.
The work was finished in a day by three masons who complied with my request for 'tooled' joints to match the original brick laying style. The only negative seems to be some chips recently discovered on the concrete patio (perhaps 5 or 6 in number and no bigger than a silver dollar).
I feel the job was done in a workmanlike manner and to the requirements of the repair with the exception of some damage to the concrete slab patio.
