Drain Pipe Installation reviews in Tinley Park

    The Scottish Plumber
The worker was able to come for an emergency within a couple of hours. Rodding was done after removing a toilet. The worker did not want to rod thru a clean out. I later found out it could have been done much easier thru the clean out with a device that collects any sewer and it is pumped back after the area is cleared. 3 times more expensive to rod thru the toilet. Why have a clean out if it cant be used. I also received an estimate for a major sewer pipe job that ended up being 2 times more expensive than another company I used. Very high pressure was imposed to sign the proposal. I was glad I didnt and got a second estimate.

Wow! Amazing! After a sewer blockage early on Friday morning was cleared by another company (a highly rated Angies List company) I was given a quote by that company to repair an offset sewer pipe just outside of the house. The quote was over $5500. Since the job was not expected and I was unfamiliar with with the situation, I wanted to get a second estimate. The original company salesman was trying to put a lot of pressure on me to have the job done by them. Fortunately, I called R&P for a second quote. The owner called me back a couple of hours later and we discussed the situation by phone. He was extremely friendly and communicative. I sent him some pictures and he quoted a maximum of $3300 depending on whether they had to cut thru the foundation or not. The job was scheduled for today and R&P sent a crew of 2. They couldnt have been nicer and were very professional. The job took about 6 hours and I was able to take pictures of the progress and finished job. In the end, the total cost was $2850, almost half the estimate from the original company. I will definitely call R&P for any sewer and drainage work in the future. My only regret was that I didnt call them first.

We have a service contract with this company. I called to have them come out and fix our drain. They came out promptly, fixed the drain, did a fabulous job and did not charge us. Such a wonderful company!

Our basement was only leaking along one wall but they reccommended we put the trench in along at least two of the walls.   Because of the age of the house, we opted to do the walls around the entire basement.  The original quote also included a second sump and pump but when they came in to do the work, they realized they could easily tie to an existing one we had for the bathroom - so we actually came in under the quote!  They said it would take two days - AND IT REALLY DID!
They came in with a 6 person crew and used jackhammers (loud!) to trough the floor.  The workers carried out and disposed of all of the concrete that came up.  Then put in the drain tile and mixed and poured the concrete.  Because the weather was pretty bad at the time, they ended up mixing the concrete in the basement.  This left a lot of concrete dust.  They did clean some of this up but definitely plan to perform more clean-up after they leave. Our basement was under construction anyway so it didn't matter that much to us.
When they did the work, we had sheet linoleum on the floor and we planned to cover it with a floating floor so we didn't pull up the tile.  We later decided to pull up it up and replace with vinyl plank flooring. We found the transition places between the old and new concrete to be a little rough and it made it difficult to place the planks.  I would suggest that if you want the transition to be perfect, you may want to ensure they know this.
After living with serious flooding for years and having a basement we could not use, the basement has been dry since they did the work.  I can sometimes hear the water running along the drain tile and it is music to my ears.  One time I came down to find water on the floor by the sump and called them in a panic.  They planned to come out the next day but asked us to verify that the sump pump was plugged in.  It was but one of us had knocked the hose that takes condensation from the AC.  They were incredibly nice and responsive!
I had written off ever being able to use my basement in a meaningful way - I figured the house was just too old and it would always flood and smell mildewy.  Well, I now have a basement I can use and it is because of these guys.  I can't say enough good things about them and I highly reccommend them.  Their pricing was better tby miles than anyone else and they are honest and fair.

All the drains in the house backed up late Friday evening. I called John that night, and he said he would be out Saturday morning.
John arrived Saturday morning as promised, and assessed the problem very quickly. The repair required him and his helper to hand dig a very deep hole and also open part of the foundation wall in order to remove part of the broken pipe. I was very impressed with the professionalism and speed that John and his crew displayed all during this repair. When the job was completed, they left the job site both in and out clean and swept. I will not hesitate to use Reliable Plumbing for any plumbing problem in the future.

It is always a positive experience to work with Christopher of Paladin Plumbing. He exudes confidence and has always been able to resolve whatever plumbing dilemma we have. This time our sump discharge pipe exiting the house kept separating from the pipe going underground. The end result was that the discharge water was eroding the earth right at the base of the house and going back into the ground causing the sump to fill up and run way too often. Christopher took one look at it and immediately had a solution. The landscaper who installed the drain pipe did not make a secure enough connection to the sump discharge pipe. Christopher had the necessary elbows and connectors and had the secure connection installed in just a short while. He flushed and tested the system and it has been discharging perfectly ever since. He is professional, extremely well-informed, respectful and kind. I'm always struck by the feeling that Christopher does NOT take financial advantage of his customers. This is refreshing in this day and age.
