    Do Right Rooter
Awful outcome after we were so anxious about getting the sewage flooding resolved in our basement. We ended up contacting Do Right Rooter. After they came to diagnose the problem, they promised the flooding would stop after the repair and after being charged $2800. We should have stopped them from the beginning because they began digging in the wrong location and misdiagnosed us with a washed out sewage pipe, which is incorrect as we have pictures of the pipe and it wasnt washed out but was tampered with per the Village plumbing inspector after I showed him the pictures of the washed out pipe. They ruined our landscape which ended up costing $600 for repair. They did indicate that they werent responsible for the landscape but I wasn't expecting the entire lawn to be destroyed from them digging in 2 seperate locations. After the job was completed, we got sewage flooding again multiple times. We called the company to advise them that the problem was reoccuring, which the company began blaming the Village. We debated back and forth with the company and the Village. The village came out on a scheduled appt which the company did not show. The village confirmed that the village isnt responsible and their sewage lines were clear. We attempted to call the company again and they did not return our phone calls and will not complete any further work until we pay the remaining balance. We will not pay them the remaining balance until they correct the issue that we hired them for. We attempted to request a refund so we can hire a Professional Plumbing Company to correct Do Right Rooters Error. The Outcome is: that we needed a check valve installed instead of a clean out but the companys objective was to gain profit and the owner offered the check valve option after the pipe was replaced and lawn was repaired from their damages. Now, Do Right Rooter is asking for another $2600 to install a check valve knowing that I am financially distraught after the company scammed me out of $2800 for a unnecessary repair.

Four Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning
I am writing this letter of complaint to Four Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning during February, 2015 regarding my furnace woes that began on August 23, 2015.
Summit, IL was part of the flooding that took place the night before dropping 22 inches of water into my basement ruining my water heater and furnace ? which I purchased from Four Seasons in 2010.
I understand that it was a disgusting hot and humid day and night when the technicians installed the new equipment so I will not be so h****** them as I will be on the ?inspector? who came to my home to review their work.  I will be a bit harsher with my complaint on the representative who finally showed up after 6 phone calls to install a part completing the connection of my humidifier to the furnace itself.  Check your records for all the complaints I had between August, 2015 and October, 2015 when the part itself was finally installed.
My harshest anger does now gets spread back through all of these ?representatives? of Four Seasons who worked on or inspected my furnace and never realized the switch was properly installed for the second stage heat to work effectively.
My home had been very, very cold when the weather turned cold and I could not figure out why.  I was mystified with a brand new furnace why I needed to buy space heaters for each room in my home, kitchen, living room, bedroom, office, bathroom, and upstairs bedroom and bathroom.  I died each month when I got my electric bill seeing how running the space heaters jacked up my usage and my bill.
    January 4, 2015 ?
Summit loses it power due to an equipment malfunction at 56th and Harlem ? a mere two blocks from my home.  Power was lost from approximately Noon until 7 p.m.  The temperatures had plummeted.  I finally left my home at 5 p.m. for dinner at a restaurant where I could warm up. After arriving home at 7:30 p.m. and finding the power restored, the temperature in my home had dropped to 61 degrees.  I raised the thermostat to 72 degrees and waited, waited, waited, and waited for the heat to kick in.  By 11 p.m. the house had warmed up to 64 degrees and I was perplexed by this.  I went to bed and when I woke up in the a.m., the internal temperature had dropped to 63 degrees as registered by the thermostat on the wall.  After getting dressed and leaving for work, I called Four Seasons for a service call telling them something had to be wrong with my furnace ? that it had been cold in my home in the past with temperatures never exceeding 67 or 68 degrees, even with the thermostat set for 72 degrees, but that following this power outage my furnace was just not responding.
I was given the typical spiel that I would be charged an $85 home visit fee just to walk in the door to determine the problem.  If the problem was warranty covered, the $85 would be waived.  After telling the woman the furnace was just installed, she said she had to quote the rate and I needed to agree to pay to get my home on the technician?s schedule.   I commented this was highway robbery in daylight and she responded she was doing her job ? something I cannot blame her for, but rather blame Four Seasons.  I then told her I purchased a two stage furnace in August, 2015 and suspected perhaps the second stage was
not kicking in, how cold my home was and that I wanted someone out there as quickly as possible.
A technician showed up and determined that upon installation of the furnace in August, 2015 the second stage functionality was never activated.  All the whirring and the feeble attempts for the furnace to kick on were never a part of my imagination; although the cost of the space heaters and my increased electric bill were a reality.
How, HOW, do so many people from Four Seasons come into my home to inspect this furnace, inspect the installation and fix the humidifier issue and NO ONE knows the second stage function was NEVER activated?
I am still so very angry I cannot see straight.  I see your commercials on TV and I just do a slow burn.  I am reporting Four Seasons to the Better Business Bureau and as well I am a member of Angie?s List and I will be listing a grade of F for this.
And after the technician finds the problem, to this day I still hear a whirring sound coming from my furnace that lasts about 3 to 5 seconds every 4 to 5 minutes and I do not know what that can be.  Do I want Four Seasons back out to inspect?  Do I trust Four Seasons anymore?   Nope, I do not.
Did anyone ever follow up with an apology?  Why would it take a power outage for me to determine the furnace wasn?t working properly?  And oh, by the way, I was not charged the $85 fee on January 5, 2015 ? and if I was, you can bet I would have challenged that with my credit card company.
So after paying an exorbitant amount for this furnace in August, after dealing with 6 phone calls, staying at home for the Four Seasons technician to come in to FINALLY fix the humidifier and staying home on January 5, 2015 ? I?m out payroll dollars, electric dollars and space heater dollars because Four Seasons cannot seem to hire professionals who can do their job.
Four Seasons has repeatedly only offered me two free cleanings for either my furnace or air conditioning unit AND a $200 credit against future services that may be needed on my newly purchased equipment.  Doesn't that give you pause to think THERE WILL BE imminent breakdowns in the near future and they are offering $200 off???   By the way, Four Seasons never sent the coupons to me; initially I declined the offer and then changed my mind, but evidently Four Seasons did as well as I have never received anything related to these cleanings or future repairwork.
Four Seasons kept a telephone tag / phone call marathon going with me between February and March, 2015.  I was asking for a new furnace to be installed but instead would only get their "coupon" offers.  No consideration was given to my increased expenses due to their inability to properly install and inspect their furnace.  This experience has been the biggest disappointment and a large expense from August, 2014 through March, 2015.  As if the cost of the furnace and water heater weren't higher than average, there was then cost of additional utilities use and heating devices to supplement a brand new 2-stage furnace.
I have informed Four Seasons on numerous occasions that I am a member of Angie's List and would post this review as well as communicating with the Better Business Bureau.

They were very good. They're close to where I live. They were very professional. When I used them, it was an emergency call and they were there within a half hour and the prices are reasonable for a plumber. Hopefully I won't have any more problems, but if I do, they will be the first one that I'd get a hold of.

    J Stewart Sewer & Drainage
I own a 2 unit apartment building where one of the tenants were flushing down disposable wipes and clogged the main drain to the sewer. I first called roto rooter and what a nightmare that was. Roto rooter first sent someone to the building just to look at it. Waste of time. He then had to call someone else over and then had to reschedule the visit. Next guy came and tried rodding from the cleanout in the utility room. Of course that didn't work and they recommended that I get another roto rooter guy to come to perform a video inspection for 300 dollars on top of the failed rodding work just done. No way. Roto rooter quoted me 4500 to install an outside cleanout. I found J Stewart after searching online and thank god I found them. They quoted a fraction of what roto rooter quoted. They came and got the job done. Great guys to deal with.

    Perma-Seal Basement Systems
They told me I needed a large installation done, which I had them do.  We had a big rain a month later and the water still came in.  I called and they told me that I had actually needed something else.  It was like they were trying to get the money, not the customer?s satisfaction.  I ended up having them do the second work done as well, so I paid about 15000.00 in the end.  They also didn?t finish the electrical work for the sump pump, and it upset me that they left it incomplete.

***Updated 4/11/2012: They came and finished the work as desired and I am now satisfied with their service.

They did a good job.  The workers were informative and explained everything well and were pleasant to work with.  They explained things before they actually did the work which I appreciated.

    Chicagoland Quality Plumbing Inc
A few weeks ago, I was standing in a pool of water in my back patio. Since I purchased my home as a foreclosure, I couldn't ask the previous owner how the exterior drains worked or where they were located on my property (large lot). Edwin came out at the time agreed and offered me several suggestions to how the drains could be running on my property. With a locator on his rodding machine, he helped clean my drains, identified exactly where all my drains were located and also advised me of some potentional problems I should address in the future. Edwin was professional, friendly and clearly explained the process and equipment he used. He helped me solve my puzzle! I would recommend Edwin to anyone who is having issues with exterior drains.
