  • The lady who scheduled us was very nice and did her best to get us in as quickly as possible. There was a two week turnaround, but I understand that things get busy. Guys that came out were very professional and moved everything out quickly.

  • The moving agent, Emily, was quite helpful and very nice. We selected the mover on the basis of reviews and price. We also didn't want to repeat problems we encountered on the last move with another firm. 
     The last time we moved, when the movers arrived, they told us they would need a large tip at the end of the move because their company didn't give them much--and even mentioned the amount they needed.  I don't mind giving a tip, but resented being told that this would be an expectation. It was also not made clear to us that additional money would be required for materials like tape and plastic wrap. Also, they were subcontractors, so what the agaent had said to us previously didn't carry much weight with the movers themselves.
        Emily assured me that any tip I gave would be up to me, and since they are a family firm, all the movers worked for them, the most recent mover having been with the firm for two years. She was very clear about moving costs, and additional materials, throwing in one free roll of furniture wrap. She also said we could provide our own tape, which we utimately didn't do, but probably should have. 
        The only flaw with the move was that the movers were supposed to show up between 8:00-8:30 AM, but didn't arrive until 9:00 AM. But this was not a big deal, since we had the apartment elevator for three hours, and they packed up and loaded the apartment in under two hours.    
        When they came to my house, I was pleased to see how quickly and professionally they worked. Nothing was broken and everything was hadled in a clear and friendly way.  I was also glad that the firm accepts credit cards--even allowing a spot to put tips on.

  • I obtained two estimates to move from a 5000 sq. ft. house to a 3500 sq. ft. townhouse.  First Class was the higher priced of the two estimates, but, the other mover was going to bring an 18 wheeler that wasn't going to make it up the driveway.  I was skeptical of the lower cost because I suspected that it would take a lot longer to haul everything down to the curb.  We did everything we could do to keep the cost of moving down, as we weren't getting rich off of the sale of our house in this economy.  A packaging supplier to my business gave me enough packing materials as a courtesy for being a good customer which probably knocked $1500 off of the overall cost of moving.  I asked First Class to estimate the move as if everything was as they saw it.  But, we put a ton of effort into packing and moving as much stuff as possible into the garage.  First Class estimated 2 smaller trucks rather than a semi trailer, and they brought a third truck just in case.  This helped because they were able to pull the trucks up to the garage.  On moving day, we had three garage bays full, and within 30 minutes the garage was empty.  They were extremely courteous, efficient and had a real system to keep everything safe.  The original estimate was for $4700.  They did not charge me for the third truck, and the final cost came out to $3800.  The lower bidder bid $4200, but, I believe the cost would have escalated due to the fact that they only had 18 wheelers that couldn't make it up the drive way.  All in all, I estimate that I saved nearly $2500 on this move.  Due to First Class's honesty, efficiency, safety and courtesy, I highly recommend that you use them, and put some elbow grease into the move to save money.

  • FROM THE INITIAL PHONE CALL FOR INFORMATION TO THE ACTUAL MOVE, HUNT THE MOVERS DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. TWO YOUNG MEN ARRIVED ON TIME AND WERE VERY HELPFUL AND TOLERANT OF THEIR WORKING CONDITIONS. THEY MOVED EVERYTHING WE ASKED THEM TO MOVE, IN A CHAOTIC, CROWDED SITUATION ON A VERY HOT DAY. INSTEAD OF LOADING ON THE TRUCK THE GUYS WALKED THINGS FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. OUR FAMILY WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN WITHOUT QUESTION.
