Neighborhood Garage Door Service of St Louis
On Monday I came home for lunch, and to let my dog out, and when I let my garage door down I heard a loud "POP".  At first I thought that someone had fired a gun.  When I looked back at the garage door I noticed that one of the springs had snapped in half.  I immediately tried to open the garage door manually.  My attempts were unsuccessful.  I immediately grabbed my smartphone and Googled "garage door repair".  I decided to call the first company that came up on the list.  Neighborhood Garage Door customer service people were very friendly and they have great customer service.  They told me that someone would call me in about an hour or so.  Well, I received a call from a technician in about 45 minutes.  He, Brandon, told me that he was about 15 minutes from my house and would be arriving at my house shortly.  When Brandon arrived he was very friendly and immediately diagnosed my problem.  I believe that Brandon had the repairs done in about 20 minutes.  Thank you so much!!!!!!!  These guys are awesome.  I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and associates.

It was awesome! I had one broken spring and my home warranty didnt cover it! They sent me to some other company with less than optimal ratings. . I found CGX and was immediately impressed with how quickly they were willing to come out and repair my garage door and all I did was send them an email....within an hour they were at my door and 35 min later it was done! They replaced both springs for one low price. I was so impressed! They have my business forever.

    The Wright Door
My 2-car garage door started to become difficult to close and I suspected my IR sensors were out of alignment and it was in need of a service.  I called one garage door company for a special $39.95 service and they showed up late and basically sprayed WD-40 on the rollers and then told my wife our garage door was sagging and needed reinforcing struts (bars installed horizontally across the middle and top panels of our door) as well as new rollers to the tune of several hundred dollars.  Wow?I didn?t see that coming.  Ever since that ?service? our garage door began to ?bounce? every time we closed it and it seemed to be getting worse. We definitely wanted a second opinion and after our neighbors raved about how great Tom was from the Wright Door Company, we got his number and called him immediately.  He set up our appointment for the same day and as a courtesy he called me 30 mins prior to his arrival and showed up on time.  The first thing he did is pull the chain that disconnects the door from the opener so he can operate it manually and checked that it moved freely in the tracks and ensure the springs were balanced.  He said he could not detect any sagging and would not recommend new struts or rollers.  Since everything checked out, he said it was most likely the sensor setting on the opener.  Tom adjusted the sensitivity setting from zero (which basically stops the door closing if the wind blows hard) to a setting of three (a reasonable setting to sense kids or pets walking across the IR beam).  One can only imagine who adjusted my sensitivity setting to zero!  Even though Tom would not come out and say it, I will?the other company flat out LIED to us and tried to rip us off!  While he was there, he raised and aligned the IR Safety Sensors on each side of the door for both my single and double doors and lubricated the rollers and now both my garage doors work and sound like NEW?all for a fraction of the other guy?s estimate.  I?m so glad we got a second opinion and avoided getting ripped off.  Call Tom if you want an honest technician at a very reasonable price!!  Highly recommend!

Showed up on time.  Found that there was not enough clearance, between the ceiling and the door, for the track to run. He had to get parts for lowering the door, so rescheduled for following day. Next day, arrived on time and was done in 2 hours.

Tom Wright initially came to my home to perform preventive maintenance on my garage door.  He explained every step of the process and answered all of my questions.  He noticed the door springs were stretched explaining there was no way to predict when a spring would break but he wanted to make me aware of the wear on them.  With no pressure from Mr. Wright, I chose to have the springs replaced as soon as possible.  The springs on my door are larger than standard so he ordered them and came out the next day to install them. He did not charge for an additional service call and gave me a great price on both the preventive maintenance and springs.  He also performed a couple of extra tasks without charge. It was a pleasure doing business with The Wright Door Co. and I can highly recommend them to anyone.

I can't say enough good.  Tom was able to come our the next morning bright and early and was extremely professional and personable.  He expertly replaced both springs on my door (one had broken) and then "tuned up" both of my garage doors.  I have to say it was a pleasure talking with him and getting such fantastic customer service.
I highly recommend The Wright Door Company.

This is the second time I used their services. The first time they installed a new garage door. My poor old door opener choked on the chain again, only this time the entire unit came apart. The gentleman wasn't certain it could be repaired, but he was willing to try. Within twenty minutes he had it up and running again. He was friendly, professional, and polite. I will use this company again when needed.

Neighborhood Garage Door Service of Houston
It wasn't good. They were installing a garage door opener and the first one wasn't compatible with the first one that I had. I had to have two remote controls to use them, we couldn't put both on one remote. The guy that came out here didn't bring all of the tools that he needed, so he was borrowing my tools in order to finish. He didn't install the brackets in any studs, so they kept falling out. The rung wasn't long enough and I told him that and put it in anyway and the door didn't open all the way. He had to leave and get new parts. It turned into an all day event, it was one mess after another. He kept putting new holes in the ceiling from trying to adjust it. They ended up sending somebody else out to do the work on it. The other guy was real nice. They weren't responsive to my questions. I told them everything that was wrong. I paid two-thirds of the bill. The garage door remotes still don't work right.

Neighborhood Garage Door Service of St Louis
Do not use this service.  It is a clearing house for handyman level workmanship and all the prices are way above market average so any discount you get is essentially worthless.
I called them to get my garage door repaired because it was only opening half way.  The serviceman came in a timely manner and conducted an evaluation.  He recommended new brackets, rollers and springs to correct the problem.  Not being an expert myself I took his recommendation and asked him for a quote.  He came back with $750 but it would be discounted to $650 because of an "online special."  I thought it over and then decided not to have the service done.  The serviceman got on the phone with "corporate" and then I talked directly to a salesman.  Finally he came down to $475 so I agreed to the service.  Brackets, rollers and springs were installed, the garage door ran two or three times and then I paid him for the service and he left.
Three days later the garage stopped working again.  I called the company and described the problem.  They had me disconnect the door in the down position and asked me if it sprung up.  It did and I told them so.  They then said that the problem was not with their work but that my garage door motor was probably going bad.  Having not enjoyed my first experience with them and not wanting to shell out another couple hundred of dollars I just assumed they were right and used a "manual assist" to get the garage open.
Last week I decided enough was enough and I had to get the door fixed.  This time I called a local professional to fix my door.  he looked at the door for about 5 minutes and told me I had the wrong size springs (he knew this because the door would not stay in the up position on its own).  He then demonstrated the proper way springs were supposed to assist and then weighed my door (something that wasn't done the first time) and said I had springs for a 260 lb door but needed springs for a 240 lb door.  Essentially the springs that were installed by this company were too strong and were preventing my motor from being able to move the garage into the up position.  The entire job was $225.
I called the customer service rep and described to them the situation and asked if they were willing to stand behind their mistake and refund me from the springs (which I have an am willing to return to them)...she asked why I hadn't called them to fix the problem.  When I explained to her that I had she said, well because another company touched our work that all guarantees were invalid and there was nothing they were willing to do.
I cannot emphasize how disappointed I am with this company.

Fantastic.  Arrived right on time and worked very quickly to complete the job in less than a half hour.  Two young men were very professional and friendly.  They explained exactly how to operate the new keypad and gave me a very good assessment of the condition of the opener (without trying sell me any additional services).
