    Streamline Home Services LLC
It was partially completed. Two weeks and two days of work was completed at the end of June to the beginning of July. Since then, there has been no effort to complete my job. The floors have not been installed and there is no trim or doors. Four weeks ago they did come paint finally, after about two months of no work being done. However, they did not match the paint to the rest of the house like we asked with the textured walls. There has been trash sitting in the basement and my garage this entire time. The owner of the company has expressed on multiple occasions that he would send someone out to get the trash or some out himself but they never do. Trash is still filling up my garage. I am more than disappointed that Angie's List would recommend this company to me for business.

Honor Heating, Air and Services Inc.
I called Honor after we had over 5 inches of rain in just a few hours.  We had water in our crawl space and coming into our basement since we live in a split level home.  Jim came out and assessed what was happening since it was still raining.  He was very courteous and extremely well versed in his profession.  What we really liked the most about this service is that he gave us about 3 options to fix it.  After we decided on the work that we were going to do, they started the very next morning.  Everything was done in a timely matter and they cleaned up very well.  Their warranty seems to be the best that i could fine.  The overall experience with them was 5 stars!!!!!!  I would recommend them for any repairs in my home.

Pleased w/ the crack repair and installation of French drain, however; for the re-routing of the down spouts clean up/site leveling could have done a little better to make the ground where the PVC pipe was laid a little more even vs a mound.  Upon final inspection when I asked the foreman why the ground was not level, he stated the guys that did the job left w/ the tamper.  I leveled the ground myself.

They said they would provide an estimate, and scheduled an appointment. 30 minutes late, we called and the owner said he had decided he was busy enough and did not call to let us know or cancel the appointment.

    Johnson Construction
Jesse and his crew are all great guys. I usually get nervous when people are working on my house but I didn't mind having them in my house at all. They were extra nice to my kids and giant dog. They are very fast. Every time I went down is was immensely different. Jesse is very good at making what you have in your head into a reality. I had lots of plans and he told me what would and wouldn't work as well a upgraded some of my ideas. I'm now in my basement constantly. We rarely use the upstairs. It is beautiful! We had other bids and they were definitely the most reasonable.
I would recommend Jesse and his crew. I would only caution you to be very specific on what you want. I only list my complaints so that the next people who use Johnson Construction will know what to look for. I'm not trying to steer anyone away from them.  We wanted our can lights staggered between the columns in the theater ceiling and they are not. They're a little random.Jesse built these great built-in bunkbeds but the ladder is difficult to use.  Also, it may be because our project look a lot longer than we first thought but the finishing was rushed and not complete. Our paint wasn't touched up, the grout on the tile wasn't scrubbed on one of the floors, no drain plug, no caulking on some of the trim work, etc. We had a doorway made into an arch and it was very rough and messy looking and I had to have that sanded down and repainted. He used flat white paint on all the doors and trim which doesn't work for me because I have five kids.  They looked filthy within a couple weeks. (Maybe I should wash my kids?) I had to pay a painter to come and repaint it all with a better satin/semigloss paint. Some of the work was never completed which I think fell between the cracks of Jesse and his carpenter (Whom is also excellent - I love my cabinets!!). I probably could have complained and brought them back over and over but I knew they were done with this project and i'm kind of a wus. I felt like I was hurting Jesse's feelings if I asked for things to be done over and over. So a lot of that is my fault and some of it is their fault for not doing it right in the first place.

    S & E Contracting Inc
Seth did an excellent job listening to what we wanted our basement to look like. He gave helpful ideas and was willing to change the floorplan even after it was laid out. He and his sub contractors were always very polite. He helped us to figure out ways to save some money with the remodeling job, to bring it within our budget.
I will definately use S & E Contracting when I am ready to remodel our kitchen.

    Fulford Home Remodeling
This is an older job, but since Angie's List requested feedback for this contractor and we had them accomplish a substantial amount of work (over $34,000) we figured this would be worth writing about.
Had a walk-through listening to what we wanted in the basement in Autumn 2009.  About 7 days later had an appointment where we had a computerized view of what they had designed for us.  Payment was very well spelled out - at different milestones, a percentage was paid.  Very professional and almost exactly what wife was looking for.  Perfectly followed their timetable...even dealing with finicky subcontractors for different aspects of the basement finish.  Clean-up every night was immaculate.  No complaints about the long-term quality of work except the dry-walling and shower area...where after 24 months, we noticed significant cracking in the drywall and separation of the paneling in the bathroom.  Tiling was good except around the sliding glass door, probably due to some water intrusion the grout is cracking.
Our house was built by Fulford.  We have many complaints about what we consider to be mediocre construction of the house (especially our lousy carpet laying), but the basement, especially the carpet seems to be of sound materials and worksmanship.  If we didn't have the issues in the bathroom with the panels and caulking, I'd probably have rated them close to straight "A"s.
