    It used to be there were just issues once in a while with the hospital. This was before AMITA purchased it. Now I cannot go without having some sort of issue at the hospital. Most often, it is a billing issue. But they also simply provide misinformation when you call because they don't know which of their hospitals provide what services. As a disabled person in severe pain, I have decided to move my care elsewhere, as the Hoffman Estates location simply cannot (and will not) accommodate folks with pain. They will say they have places to lay down while you wait, but they do not. They say they will make a gurney available, but they will not. They will say they have recliners, but those are only at the Elk Grove location, not at the Hoffman Estates location (or if they are at Hoffman Estates they don't provide them and wonder what you are talking about when you mentioned you were told one could be available). But the final straw is their Billing Dept which sends out threatening notices when my insurance indicates on their Explanation of Benefits that the fees were paid in full and I owe nothing. Many times, the department can't even submit the bill properly, and again sends threatening notices due to an error on their end. It is so pervasive, that my insurance company just 'sighs' on the phone when they here it is another AMITA issue. To my insurance provider's credit, they have even called AMITA to help them properly submit the billing to get paid. But the amount of effort AMITA requires for me to work with them is simply not worth it anymore. I will be going to a different hospital in emergency situations and see if they can figure out how to get paid without their first course of communication being a threatening letter about how I have failed to pay them. My GP is in AMITA, but billing there does not seem to be an issue. So I will be keeping the GP. However, I have noticed medical office staff is declining in quality, and as part of a stand, I am adding reviews for those who seem unable to hire staff who can process billing and make my interaction with medical staff as seamless as possible. How a doctor's office is managed is very important for people with disabilities and people who are in pain. And if it can't get the billing right, don't you wonder what else might be wrong on your medical record?

    I had lots of tests done there lately. They've got a good thing going, scheduling is not difficult to go through, when you do go there, they have a good classic set-up so that you are take care of immediately and you don't have to wait for a very long time to go to your testing, and they have people to walk you where you needed to be. It was just a good experience for me and I'm happy to go there when I need things done, don't get worry about it, or I don't get scared. I have nothing bad to say about this hospital and even their food was good. I enjoyed the food over there.

    I have had many encounters with NCH and am contnouously impressed with the quality of service and the whole customer care experience. They constantly strive to reduce wait times, whether in the ER or for outpatient testing, and the staff is just wonderful in all the areas I've encountered. I would HIGHLY recommend NCH as a hospital of choice.

    My whole family goes to this doctor. We have about 8 family members that go to him. Me and my husband visit once a year for physicals, and go every time anything comes up in between. We have had great results.

    We have had a few experiences through the emergency room, and they have been really good. They have taken us in immediately either with my kids or with my husband. My husband had a rare disease that they diagnosed very quickly. We went to another clinic afterwards, and they told us we were lucky we had it diagnosed quickly. I really haven���t had to wait in the emergency room when I took my kids in during their illness. My son was sick because he had his appendix out a couple of months ago, and the triage nurse immediately called back. They took him back and took his blood pressure and did a thorough assessment of him. They said right away that they thought it was the appendix and had him in to surgery. Our stay there was good. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. It is convenient for us.
