    My family and I have been going to Nelson Auto since 2012 for purchases and service work.  Matt and the gang over there are always courteous, professional, and respectful of our time.  Matt does what he says and always gets back to us in a timely manner.  Prices are excellent and the work is top notch.  We've been to several shops over the past 25 years here in the Chicagoland area and now that we found Nelson Auto we will not go anywhere else.  Thank you for truly being a different type of car buying and service dealer.

    Everything went wonderfully. In the past I had gotten used to all the pushy saleman of some other prominant dealerships in the chicago land suburbs but here that was not the case. From the very first visit Pete (the salesman I worked with) was helpful while not being pushy. Outside of some trouble he had with my phone number he was responsive and informative. When our decision on which vehicle we were going to purchase had finally been made, after many test drives, Pete was able to help me get the price and trade-in that I wanted. Even the paperwork guy was great. No one was pushy with extra cruft to add on to the purchase (life insurance, gap coverage, etc) They offered a single extended warranty plan, and when i declined did not mention it again. Its still too soon to say how well the car will hold up but so far we are very happy with it (only had it 2 weeks at the time of this writing).

    Al Piemonte Chevrolet
    I took our Chevy Blazer in for an estimate in December 2011 and the name
    that was mistakenly put on our invoice, for some reason, was "Scott"
    even though that is not my first name.  Since that time I've received
    numerous promotional mailings from Al Piemonte Chevrolet addressed to
    "Scott" at our home address.  I have called the dealership 4 times to
    ask to be removed from the mailing list and have been mostly told by
    them that the mail was not coming from them and that there was no way to
    remove it.  Other people I talked with there told me they would remove
    my name but this did not happen.  The mail IS obviously coming from the
    dealer as our VIN number is included in the mailings and the mail is
    addressed to "Scott" and started arriving shortly after our visit.  I
    emailed Al Piemonte Chevrolet in December 2012 as one final effort to
    have this situation resolved and did not even receive the courtesy of a
    response.  It is bad enough to get someone's name wrong but then to
    refuse to find a solution to preventing them from receiving your junk
    mail for over a year is inexcusable.

    Update: April 16, 2013 - received another piece of mail today addressed to "Scott."

    They have nights when they are open until midnight. You can bring your car for an oil change. They have a place where you can comfortably sit. They will give you a ride home and pick you up. As they are working through, they will keep you abreast of what is going on.

    The purchase went smoothly. Ismael Pacheco, salesman, was great to work with and very helpful. After I accepted the vehicle, I noticed a slight noise in the interior cabin. I took the car back to the dealer. The noise was located and eliminated immediately. Ismael was in contact with me throughout this service adjustment process with updates. I am very pleased with the car quality, sales process, service response, and overall experience at this dealership.

    We thought the overall experience was excellent. Initially we asked a few questions to Matt, the Internet manager, during an Internet chat. He then referred us to Bob Bauer, a salesman, when we went in to drive the truck. Bob is great. He is very much a professional at his job. He treated us with respect, concerned about our concerns, and made the whole experience of buying this car easy. He took us for a test drive, answered all our questions, pointed out the cool features of the truck and some of the many options. We decided to purchase the truck a few days later. We brought in our own financing from our own bank, so as far as the financing part of the transaction goes, we cannot really comment on that aspect. Just go in knowing what your credit score is, and do your homework first. We didn't want to find out if we could get a better rate than our bank because we enjoy working with our bank and we were very happy with the rate we received. The prices of Zeiglers vehicles are extremely competitive, and we did a ton of research to determine that Zeigler had the truck for us. We are super thrilled with our new addition to the family, and encourage those who are looking for a new Jeep, Dodge or Chrysler to talk to Bob Bauer at Zeigler in Schaumburg. He will treat you very well! We are definitely returning for future purchases!

    After poor experiences at other dealerships for several months, I saw the vehicle I was looking for in the Tom Peck online inventory. Initial correspondence and quoting was done via email and phone conversation with Mike Sosnowski. At times, as with most dealers, the sales team might be busy, but usually returned my calls and emails within an hour or two. I found that being honest and straightforward with them on the front end would be reciprocated throughout the sale - which seems increasingly rare these days. I did have to negotiate a little on their initial offer for my trade-in, but even this was fairly cordial and to be expected. Overall, expect a minimal amount of the typical dealer game-playing tactics (checking with the sales manager and soft selling extra warranties and services upon delivery) but certainly much more amenable than most. Overall, I found their pricing to be much better on the front end and their financing team lined up a decent package for me at the close of the sale. Key impressions: - Straightforward, reasonable pricing - Honest discourse throughout the sale - Inventory might vary more than larger dealers - The showroom and sales approach was a bit casual, no frills - The staff frequently smokes just outside the showroom which might be offensive to some - On a rainy day, you might be the only client there - They do try to sell services at the closing - expect the extra sales pitches and decide for yourself I'm glad I found them and took the chance to check them out - I had been previously discouraged by many tactics from several other Ford dealers.
