Auto Body Repair reviews in Schaumburg

I have been to America's auto body many times in the last 20 years and they never disappoint me! They provide the highest quality auto repair services that I've ever experienced at a fair price. Of particular importance to me, was the way they fought to get my insurance company to repair my car using genuine manufacturer parts!

Each persons definition of quality may vary. One definition of quality is the standard of something as measured against other things of a similar kind; the degree of excellence of something. Despite my skepticism of them being strongly recommended, BNC Quality Auto Body, located on auto body repair row in Schaumburg, SURPASSED my expectations, which included patiently answering my questions without me feeling duped, assuring me that my car door would be repaired with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) part, serving as a liaison the insurance company and having a clean lobby & bathroom. I must say that the work performed on my car is absolutely FLAWLESS. In fact, there is no sign of previous damage and the paint matched perfectly from all angles. Also, the very pleasant and knowledgeable Ms. Sammy G., facilitated the entire process without complications, repair delays or frustrations. Yes, I was so impressed by my positive experience with BNC Quality Auto Body, I insisted that I meet Cris, the owner. I wanted to see if he reflected the superior QUALITY service I received. After meeting Cris, it was quite apparent that hes an honest, sincere, and skilled man thats genuinely committed to taking care of his customers by providing and delivering professional & high quality service. Cris, please know that Im truly appreciative and BEYOND satisfied with the work done on my car. Thank you tremendously Cris!

I am completely satisfied with the superb restoration by Tim and his staff at Patrick Collision in Schaumburg. They kept me in the know with updated texts throughout the week. My car is pristine! Tim has been the manager since June of 2017 and reviews since then reflect the professional and friendly atmosphere at Patrick Collision under his leadership.

    Lopez Auto body and Repair
They were great to work with. They explained what needed to be done. They were professional and on time. Really enjoyed working with them on getting my car fixed. The car looks better now than it did before the accident. They fixed everything and made the car look brand new, took out dents and scratches all over my car not just in the area that needed repair. They do great work I enthusiastically encourage people to use them for car repair or auto body work.

We have been going there since 2007, or end of 2006. I'm very happy with their service. I would recommend them. No doubt. The workers are excellent. They are all good there. That is why I keep going there. Their customer service is very good. They are always professional. They are good at keeping you updated about what is going on with your car. You get a free loaner, which I needed. You get free car washes if you buy the car there - for life. They are pros. They treat you very well. They don't try to pressure you. They are very straight forward, and they take care of you. I have an personal service guy, and he is excellent. I have his phone number, I can call him whenever I need too. They are terrific.

Since it was covered by insurance and they were recommended by several local dealers (Audi, Mercedes, Lexus), I made an appointment to go in and get an estimate. Spoke with Jerry who was very knowledgeable and provided information about what he thought should be repaired. They could also provide a loaner based on the insurance companies approval. After about 2 months, we settled on taking it to America's Auto Body and scheduled the repair with them. Dropped off the vehicle on the appointed day and they had the paperwork pre-filled out and the loaner sitting outside. The insurance company came out the next day to approve the repairs by personally viewing the vehicle and the clock started. I was told it would take about 5 business days but they called the morning of day 4 and said it was ready. I told them I would pick it up in an hour and they had it outside and completed the paperwork and explained their warranty in enough detail to my satisfaction.

1-work seems to have been done well (specifically the metal work to repair the rusted wheel well) but attention to detail/clean up on the back end did not go so well
2-Jeff Seilier (Manager)-professional and helpful. He did a detailed quote prior to service.
3-Joe Davis (Owner)-rude, accusatory and has made us not want to work with them again. See the end of this for quotes of what he said to us.
When we went to pick up the car there were some issues (overspray, minor clean up issues that were readily visible) which we brought to Jeff?s attention and were taken care of.  The next day we washed the car and found some new issues.
We found more overspray in other areas, which they did clean up when we brought it in.  More importantly we noticed the antenna was bent and there were what appeared to be divots/spots in the finish on the right side where the work was performed as well as the header frame above the front and rear doors.
We took photos of some of these areas and called them the next business day (since it was Saturday when we washed the car) and offered to send in photos of the concerns we had. We were told photos are too hard to see so we had to bring the car in.  When we brought it in, Joe Davis (owner) gave us nothing but grief.  He stated the "divots" we saw were called "fisheyes" in the finish and told us no harm would come from them (i.e. rusting, etc). He could see we were unhappy and said he wanted to "make it right" for us and insisted that his guys could fix it in 10 minutes.  We kept saying no, if the finish would be fine that this was our concern.  He kept insisting saying that we wouldn't have brought it in if we weren't concerned.  He also denied that the antenna could have been damaged by their shop.  We happened to have taken some photos of the car the week prior (we were looking to sell the car) that showed the antenna in good shape and now it was clearly bent.  Joe refused to look at the photos we had and kept saying there is no way a little plastic sheeting draped over it could do this but gruffly said he would, in good faith, get us a new one even though there was no way they damaged it.  He looked up in his computer that it would cost $30,we did offer to pay for half which he quickly dismissed in a huff saying he would take care of it. (And by the way, he later told us in a heated exchange this part cost $45 so we don't quite know what to believe from Joe).  He had to order the part and one of us would have to go back again the following week to get the part.
As for the overspray issues, he had them fix it but said repeatedly that there could be no way this came from them either.  He badgered us about who else did work on our car since these things didn't happen at Body Werks but we told him multiple times that they are the only body shop to have touched this 9 yr old vehicle.  He did not seem to believe us on this. He also stated these things must have come from the factory this way and we never noticed (in 9 yrs of owning the car?.?).  We sat in the waiting area for over 45 minutes that day, making us both late in our days, while they "fixed" the finish issue.  The whole time we waited, he continued to tell stories of how so many of his customers over the years have done terrible things and tried to scam him (not very professional and makes us wonder what sorts of stories he will make up about us after the fact).  He kept trying to tell us we didn't know these things were on our vehicle the whole time and that we, as with many other people, look much closer after work is done and try to blame unrelated things on the shop that just had the car.  When we got the car there were smudged areas on the right side of the car we noticed, and Joe cleaned them up with a spray.  They had only "fixed" a couple of spots and after the 45 minutes we still showed him many other spots that they had not addressed.  We were told we could bring the car back again and they would take care of the other spots. After the spray/fix was done we wanted to wash the car. The next day we washed the car and now witnessed scuff marks/swirled scratches on the 3-4 spots where they "wet sanded".  Needless to say we were not going to have them continue to try to "fix" the finish issue since things are now worse.
Later the next week we went in to the get antenna. Cordial conversation with Jeff upon retrieving the antenna and more offers to fix the spots, which we declined based on the previous ?fix? left us somewhat disappointed that the car was not in a similar state as it was prior to the work but that it would be our new norm. Joe entered the room as the transaction was completing and the encounter became quite contentious and belligerent. Here are some of the quotes of Joe through out the dealings we had with him that leave  us unable to recommend them (in addition to his saying we were being overly picky and trying to pin things on them that they didn?t do):
-?I asked my guys, and they said they didn?t bend your antenna. In fact I had one guy who is 18 claim he noticed it was bent when it was brought in.  But in good faith I made good on it-even though you claim it wasn?t bent before, I find it hard to believe you didn?t notice it was bent when you picked it up because it was so obvious.  After 9 years and the holes the manufacturer drilled into it I am sure the wind pressure must have caused it to fail the next day.? (he said many times some of his guys have been with him a long time and he has no reason to not trust them, thus inferring we are the liars.)
-?All I know is that my guys only removed the door handle and set it down away from the area they were spraying.  There is no way we could have caused any overspray/finish defects on the handle so either it came from the factory that way and you never noticed it or another body shop must have caused this. ? (neither of which are true)
-?I don?t understand why both of you had to sit in the waiting room (referring to the clean up the second time) while we worked on your car. Your wife could have waited by herself-people do it all the time.  Are you telling me she wasn?t capable of doing this herself?? (what does it matter to him if we both wait? we obviously were both wanting to be there for our own reasons since this exchange did not go well)
Also when we picked up the antenna after the fact, he tried to say we had rushed them on the remedial repairs to the finish.  We were told it would be 10 minutes and 45 minutes later they were ?done?- we never asked how much longer, just sat and waited.  Now at the tail end of everything he says we rushed him and ?you can?t rush quality?.  He also denied we waited that long. If we had been told they needed the car for an extended time to do the job right, we would have gladly rescheduled for a time when we could leave the car with them again.  Instead we now have a car with a marred finish and a very bad experience with a local business owner.

They did a great job. The price was more than reasonable. They are highly recommended. They're very professional and the price was more than reasonable. They had the vehicle done by the estimated amount of time that they said. They were straightforward with us, what needed to be done and everything. They gave us an estimate right on the spot and everything. They're very professional. I will definitely use them again.

    AutoKrafters On Rand
Worked closely with Pete Santucci to determine extent of repairs needed and respective costs.  Extremely knowledgeable and professional in all dealings.  Took the time to patiently listen to all of my concerns regarding the repairs and offered various options.  Was willing to provide exactly what I requested without any undue pressure.  Work was performed in a very professional manner and in a timely fashion.  Vehicle was returned thoroughly washed and with interior also cleaned.  Very satisfied  with all aspects of this repair.  Would highly recommend Autokrafters to anyone seeking quality workmanship at a fair price.
