    Gelband Natural Health & Chiropractic
Dr. Gelband is a fine practitioner whose intelligence is exceeded only by his compassionate bedside manner. He resolved my chronic fatigue and thyroid issues (which were something I was under another doctor's care for without significant results) within a matter of weeks and now manages my hip issues so that I can completely function in my daily life, including the ability to exercise. I recommend him completely for ANY issue, including ones that you think can only be managed by traditional western medicine. I would let him evaluate me first and get his opinion as to whether your problem can be managed naturally and what options are available to get maximal results with the least risk.

Their service is wonderful. They are very friendly. They really care for the children. The director there is great and they remember all the children's names. They help and they are flexible. The teachers are great.

    Health Elements
I usually see my practitioner who is located a mile from my house, but I traveled into the city (not Chinatown) to visit Health Elements to get treated since they use Young Living Essential Oils.  I experience back pain consistently and need treatment every month and heard that the use of essential oils amplifies the treatment.
Dr. Long was the practitioner and he did a foot massage using a blend of essential oils.  After the foot massage, all my back pain was completely gone.  Then he did a technique called cupping on my back using essential oils (not sure if they were different or not).  He also did some acupuncture to remove pain from my shoulder.
After this fantastic treatment, I would definitely consider the drive back into the city.

    Nakamura Chiropractic & Acupuncture
It has been good. What stands out the most is his Korean techniques. He does Reiki and uses powerful symbols. He uses some kind of a little jack hammer to align the spine. He also does excellent acupuncture. I highly recommend him.

    Skypoint Chiropractic
That was actually the first time that I went to a chiropractor. I had pain in my neck and she fixed it. It was fine. The doctor told me that I needn’t worry about it and that I was going to be okay. In the meantime, it got cured. The office is clean and friendly. The receptionist was really friendly.

Our daughter was in Schaumburg Goddard for about 20 months, she enjoyed it very much, came home always happy. Loved her teachers very much. The daily email report was helpful to know the classroom activities and lunch details. She was in butterfly, duck, frog and then sunflower rooms. The classrooms were bright and nice layout. Overall wonderful experience.

I first met Dr Laurie from TOPS when my Shiba Inu had an agility injury. He was scared to death of all vets and a bit of a handful. Let's be honest -he bared his teeth and snarled at her! Dr Laurie was so patient with him and let him slowly find trust with her. That dog came to trust her so much that he would actually sit on her lap for his treatment! His general vet was quite jealous! Best of all, her rehab services not only addressed his foreleg injury, but her comprehensive evaluation identified some low back issues I didn't even realize he had. (very stoic little dog!). That dog ran agility competitions until he was 12.5 years old and his vision declined. He never would have had that quality of life making due on anti-inflammatory medication.
Next up was my old Shiba girl (13.5 years) who has spondylosis. She was under the care of another veterinary chiropractor that was closer to my home for a couple of years. When my agility dog was doing so well at TOPS (the vet my girl was using wouldn't touch him because he was such a handful) I moved this one to TOPS too. My goal was for this dog to just maintain the mobility that the other vet had obtained. Well silly me because the old girl improved even more! Dr Laurie taught me to work my dogs on a therapy ball and added some supplements to her diet that helped a lot. We also added acupuncture and laser to her care. That old dog just ran laps of my yard this morning with my puppy! She still chases a soccer ball too.
That brings us to the puppy. OMG 16 month old ball of energy with no care for life or limb. I am a proponent of maintenance
chiropractic for people and now for dogs. "Mayday" (told you he was wild) has received puppy chiropractic from a couple of months old on. If possible, he is even more energetic after he is adjusted. He is an agility pup, so having a sound body should help him have a long, healthy career.
The people at TOPS are all very welcoming and truly care about the animals. This was the only practice that insisted on a comprehensive evaluation for all dogs. In hindsight though I am so happy Dr Laurie did it. For each of my older dogs, problems were identified that I wasn't aware of because dogs figure out how to compensate. With my agility dog, it would have been heartbreaking to pull him out of shows while we fixed his foreleg only to have him lame again when the problems he was
masking intensified. Best decision I ever made was to go to TOPS.

    Lifetime Fitness - Bloomingdale
Was a member of this gyn for about a year. All in all just like any other gym for the most part. A bit more expensive, but it was a newer gym at the time.
I tend to work out after work, 5:30pm to 7pm which unfortunately many others did as well. Machines started getting very busy after 6pm and there were occasional waits for some of the cardio machines. Janurary through March were incredibly painful in this regards. At some point they need to stop taking new members. In the post holiday, new years resolution season, you literally couldn't find parking (and they do have a big lot). Locker rooms were filled, long waits for machines. At some point you need to stop accepting new members!
I finally had enough of it in April and cancelled my membership. Sure the rush was dying off, but it was still just too busy and I was waisting too much time and quot;killing timeand quot; on other machines while I waited for the handful of cardio machines. Joined another gym which i have bene with for over a year and it's been fantastic.

    Barrington Orthopedic Specialists
Barrington Orthopedic Specialists have very good and experienced doctors. The bedside manner depends on the doctor, some are better than others; it's a big blue. There's one there that has a horrible bedside manner so I didn't go back to him but there's others so I don't know exactly how to answer that.

    European Therapy Center Ltd.
European Therapy uses a hands on method of treatment which addresses deep pain issues. I have had physical therapy other places and the therapist watches you while you use their equipment or exercise. (I can go to the gym for this.) European Therapy has a hands on method which is much more effective. They work with you and give you additional things that you can do at home. They really care about the whole person. They identify why you have the pain, not just work on the symtoms.....I highly recommend the therapists at European Therapy.
