Lighting Installation reviews in Sauk Village

It was very good experience and it had happened while at the time I had major surgery and I just didn't follow up and get the report in. My concern about and I would love to use them again, but because of the location he was quite away from where I live. I was very very pleased with their service, but using electrical service again I wouldn't probably get someone else closer to my location. I would refer him to anyone my only problem is the distance. I end up paying little more because I had other services done addition to that amount, but I was very pleased with the service. He went above and beyond. He did come in a timely manner. He was very thorough in checking out my issues and outlet was not working outside of the house or the garage. He did everything in a timely manner and the service like was for two hours. If I had a large enough job he would probably be able to come back. He cleaned up everything and he had walk through each thing that he had done with me.

.Terrible contractor!!  Took him 2 years to get around to doing the kitchen, and then I got far less than expected.  He finally answered our call and agreed to start May 1st, but then delayed because the cabinets weren't ready.  They totally rushed through (once they finally started).  Tore apart our kitchen in one day and threw everything in our garage; left it there - we had to haul it out to the garbage after removing all the nails ourselves - took us a weekend.  That's the last we saw them for over a week.  No appliances, no sink, no kitchen.  As is the norm with this outfit, no pick up on our phone calls or call backs.  Started sending texts to him since the mailbox was always full; most were of them went unanswered by him.  When he did text back, it was one lame excuse after another.
Two weeks later, he began the floor work, and finished laying the tile I bought in two days.  Then the village shut him down.  He failed to pull a permit, and couldn't provide the license/insurance they demanded.  So he stopped working for a couple more weeks.  He made us pay for the permit and for his insurance premium ($390) before he would continue, but was working on another job and made us wait several more weeks.
Cabinets were to have been full overlay - instead he installed junk cabinets - definitely not what we ordered, definitely NOT full overlay.  When we pointed this out to him, he said this was the companies "full overlay".  He lied.  The only full overlay was the pantry.  Doors installed poorly - off by as much as 1/4 inch.  The doors and handles are noticeably off kilter.  Lazy susan cabinet hits side when you try to open it - asked them to fix this as well - they ignored us.
Installation was again delayed weeks, because Robert had also incorrectly measured for the cabinets along the sink wall.  He had to reorder a different size cabinet.  The sink cabinet was to have been centered under the windows like the previous cabinet was, but because his measurements were off, we had to have the sink installed way to the side of the cabinet so the sink would at least center under the windows.
They dented the new appliances we bought pushing them into place; never bothered to mention this damage to us.  The vent for the microwave is misaligned (Mr. Prybyl's measurements were off) so it doesn't vent properly.
After complaining repeatedly about how far away he was from us (he should have just refused the work - I would have been much happier), he demanded another $7,725 on top of  the $6,999 we had already paid through Angie's list 2 years earlier.  He wouldn't leave without payment he demanded.  (This was only the second day they were here for more than 5 to 6 hours).  This was a complete ripoff of an older couple.
They were at our home for a total of less than 10 days; most of the time it was only one person (Robert or his father); the cost of the cabinets was about $6,000 - so we paid this outfit nearly $1,000 a day for 1 1/2 man labor on a terribly done job.
Overall, we were greatly disappointed in this contractor and would warn anyone not to consider using him or his company .

It went great.   They arrived on time and were very helpful when they discovered I had bought the wrong size fixture base.  They happly to take old base and rewired it with the new fixtures.  It works and looks great.  My wife loves it!  They also discovered that my home was outside of their service area, but they came anyway.

I need a light fiture replaced on a ceiling fan that my wife did not want to part with.  I bought one of those discouted coupons for service.  Although I was out of his service area, David came any way.  He was very fast and professional.  I actually had purchased the wrong size casing on the new fixture.  He took the time to rewire the old casing with the lights from the new fixture.
He arrived on time and would not leave until he had it right.  It looks good and works like new.

I purchased the Big Deal on Angie's List on September 9th, 2013.  Stanley contacted me the next day through Angie's List message system and we arranged for him to come to the house.  He was waiting for me when I arrive.  He measured for the cabinets and gave me a catalog to choose from.  We talked about when the work would start.  He was very busy and made it clear he would not start before the end of October.  A snafu on my part delayed the start of the job because the cabinets needed to be ordered and paid for.  Stanley kept in contact with me while waiting for the cabinets to be delivered.  The work began on the 18th of November.  After the demolition was complete we started talking about some of the changes I wanted and he suggested.  It was decided we needed to replace the flooring in the attached dining room.  Knowing this work would need to be done we added an additional pot light and stub wall removed.  He provided me a quote for the cost of the added work and the demolition of the dining room floor was completed.  The guys on his crew are very skilled and experienced craftsmen and are proud of the finished product.  The work continued through the next three weeks, including Saturday's (except the Thanksgiving weekend).  I was surprised but happy the progress was moving forward.  We could see the job would be complete soon, but the last major component that needed to be installed was the granite counters.  This is the one area of the project my wife and I want some additional information beforehand so we had some context to set our expectations.  We had no idea the time frame required for the granite to be milled.  However I talked to Stanley and he gave me an estimate of 2 weeks.  As it turned out it was 8 days and we are very happy with the results.  In fact we have asked Stanley to provide us with an estimate to do remodel our bathroom.  GREAT JOB Stanley!!!
