Electrician reviews in Sauk Village

John is one of the most worst contractors I have ever deal with. He completely trashed my place when finishing his electrical work. He doesn't clean up after himself. Both bathrooms were caked in mud. He had to go up to my attic and he literally ripped up the flooring up there snapping many boards in half in the process. He broke the side door. I had to replace the deadbolt and fix the door framing so the door would swing again. My property was in a pretty rough neighborhood and I gave him the lockbox code to get in and out of the front door. He decided to use this once. He instead left my back door open, sometimes for days at a time. This brings me to the fact that he kept lying on when he would get done. There were many delays. After a week of delays, it still looked like he had over 3 days of work left, so I fired him. Very creepy personality too. He never apologizes or shows any empathy or care for you or your property.

It's a one man operation and the guy just does a lousy job. I had investment property that needed to meet the code of the city. I explained this. He received a copy of the city inspection report and agreed to do some minor items to fix violations. Later on I find he never pulled a permit to do the job. I'm questioning if he is even licensed. Now I have to get a REAL professional to finish the job.

Elaine did an excellent job.  She called as she was slightly late - took longer than anticipated to arrive.  She reviewed all the jobs we had first.  She did have to run to Home Depot to get some supplies to replace our faucet.  There were some extra challenges that she explained options, gave recommendations, and asked us how we wanted her to proceed.  There were also some issues to install door since trim had to be adjusted.  Everything was well explained, and done quickly.  We are so happy with the results!  We would have Elaine work on our home again when we use this service for additional work we will do next month.

Omar and a technician worked in tandem to locate a short in a circuit.  The job took about two hours, but they found the issue and repaired the problem.  They started from the circuit box and then worked their way to a damaged receptacle.  They found the problem.  We were very happy with their worl.

Not only am I skeptic when charged hourly let's say I have had some unfortunate experiences in the past. The installer was here on time and equip to handle our job. He was professional and was willing to give us an idea on how long the job would take and approximate cost. All the tough parts of the job but it felt right because he gave information freely and honestly. We purchased new audio surround sound equipment because we thought our system had failed to turn on. He advised to allow him to test the system and sure enough it was still working. Some how he powered down the system and turned it back on the system actually started working. He could have made more money by installing the new system but his work ethic did not allow him to do so. I am truly impressed with his services and would call him if we ever needed anymore work. Our first Angie's list service we ever redeemed and we are very happy we joined. All services will be from Angie's list from now on.

They responded to my message immediately and worked with my work schedule to come out and evaluate the problem. Chris was prompt, courteous and very professional. I will contact again if the need arises.

It was very good experience and it had happened while at the time I had major surgery and I just didn't follow up and get the report in. My concern about and I would love to use them again, but because of the location he was quite away from where I live. I was very very pleased with their service, but using electrical service again I wouldn't probably get someone else closer to my location. I would refer him to anyone my only problem is the distance. I end up paying little more because I had other services done addition to that amount, but I was very pleased with the service. He went above and beyond. He did come in a timely manner. He was very thorough in checking out my issues and outlet was not working outside of the house or the garage. He did everything in a timely manner and the service like was for two hours. If I had a large enough job he would probably be able to come back. He cleaned up everything and he had walk through each thing that he had done with me.

.Terrible contractor!!  Took him 2 years to get around to doing the kitchen, and then I got far less than expected.  He finally answered our call and agreed to start May 1st, but then delayed because the cabinets weren't ready.  They totally rushed through (once they finally started).  Tore apart our kitchen in one day and threw everything in our garage; left it there - we had to haul it out to the garbage after removing all the nails ourselves - took us a weekend.  That's the last we saw them for over a week.  No appliances, no sink, no kitchen.  As is the norm with this outfit, no pick up on our phone calls or call backs.  Started sending texts to him since the mailbox was always full; most were of them went unanswered by him.  When he did text back, it was one lame excuse after another.
Two weeks later, he began the floor work, and finished laying the tile I bought in two days.  Then the village shut him down.  He failed to pull a permit, and couldn't provide the license/insurance they demanded.  So he stopped working for a couple more weeks.  He made us pay for the permit and for his insurance premium ($390) before he would continue, but was working on another job and made us wait several more weeks.
Cabinets were to have been full overlay - instead he installed junk cabinets - definitely not what we ordered, definitely NOT full overlay.  When we pointed this out to him, he said this was the companies "full overlay".  He lied.  The only full overlay was the pantry.  Doors installed poorly - off by as much as 1/4 inch.  The doors and handles are noticeably off kilter.  Lazy susan cabinet hits side when you try to open it - asked them to fix this as well - they ignored us.
Installation was again delayed weeks, because Robert had also incorrectly measured for the cabinets along the sink wall.  He had to reorder a different size cabinet.  The sink cabinet was to have been centered under the windows like the previous cabinet was, but because his measurements were off, we had to have the sink installed way to the side of the cabinet so the sink would at least center under the windows.
They dented the new appliances we bought pushing them into place; never bothered to mention this damage to us.  The vent for the microwave is misaligned (Mr. Prybyl's measurements were off) so it doesn't vent properly.
After complaining repeatedly about how far away he was from us (he should have just refused the work - I would have been much happier), he demanded another $7,725 on top of  the $6,999 we had already paid through Angie's list 2 years earlier.  He wouldn't leave without payment he demanded.  (This was only the second day they were here for more than 5 to 6 hours).  This was a complete ripoff of an older couple.
They were at our home for a total of less than 10 days; most of the time it was only one person (Robert or his father); the cost of the cabinets was about $6,000 - so we paid this outfit nearly $1,000 a day for 1 1/2 man labor on a terribly done job.
Overall, we were greatly disappointed in this contractor and would warn anyone not to consider using him or his company .

It went great.   They arrived on time and were very helpful when they discovered I had bought the wrong size fixture base.  They happly to take old base and rewired it with the new fixtures.  It works and looks great.  My wife loves it!  They also discovered that my home was outside of their service area, but they came anyway.
