House Painting reviews in Saint Charles

    Bee Painting, Inc.
Miguel explained exactly what his team would do and they did everything exactly like he said. They power-washed the house, fixed various sections of my cedar siding that needed to be repaired, and then painted the house very well. His team was very professional, and did a great job. I definitely would recommend Bee Painting for any house painting job.

    HomeWorks of Batavia
Very early in year, March 23, Carl came out and wrote up an estimate. He was very professional and knowledgeable. We accepted and a May date was scheduled. Carl promised a profession job, talked about all the projects he has had in the past, all the projects he has currentlyIm so busy. I was a painful and regrettable experience for the following reasons: Unavailability: there was a time he didnt return my phone calls, thought his office would take care of it, and then said he had had a major medical issue. Delays: -two three week delays due to weather--six weeks. (Numerous days of sunshine in Between). Didn't bump to the next week. -left town for a week to Canada -left town for a week to Kentucky -Original repair date in May, then June, then July -Promised June 18th, then emailed me on June 28th that it would not be until July 16th. -The week/days prior to July 16th, no word or confirmation that work would start All the actions and inactions did not make sense to me, like he had better things to do... Finally, I got my answer. He poo pood my project as one he wasnt going to make any money on. I didn't tell him that we also have a master bath renovation, powder room renovation, kitchen stove update, and bar to install in the lower level, totaling over $15000 of work. After stringing me along for five months I get this email: Email August 27, 2018: After a lot of thought this weekend Ive chosen not to do your decking project. I wish you luck in finding a different contractor. Thanks, --No phone call or explanation! Until After I sent an email, September 19, 2018, to the president Elizabeth, I got a phone call from Carl. It was still all about him and all about his jobs he has and wanted to talk about my cancelation, which was only one to his five! (Which for my cancellation didn't matter, as it rained that day). His explanation included a statement: I should have walked away from your job in the beginning when you wanted to be home when we did your work. He expected me to trust Homeworks of Batavia, having never worked with them in the past. No way! Because he didnt do what he said he would do and it was still all about him. Buyer Beware: No work address, only a cell phone number, Gmail email, and wife who is the president. If he has a more lucrative job or you want to observe while they do the work, your project may get cancelled.

I hired WOW painting to paint my interior and exterior. We completely remolded our home. Ceilings, moldings, and walls needed painting. Joe Novak (contact) is wonderful to work with and his team of experienced painters, especially, Tim are knowledgeable, professional, and prompt. If I had a question or concern they were very helpful and explained what they were doing. WOW was very concerned that their project was completed to my satisfaction... thats not the norm! Tim, painted my exterior sunroom. He went above and beyond making sure my windows were caulked properly and neatly done. I also used WOW for wallpapering (dining room). That too, was beautifully done. I will definitely use WOW again and would highly recommend them.

They were great. Workers were on time and here when they said they would be here. Quality of work was great and Sergio had great recommendations for paint color. They were priced competitively and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

    Prime Time Painting
After getting a quote, talking on the phone and then meeting in person we never received our second quote. Very disappointed that they didn't even respond back. They said they were professional but not receiving the quote or even a call is not. I had planned on using them as our painters but after not following through I am glad I did not.

There was paint splatter all over our windows, they stained some of our window trim. The painting was uneven We paid for two coats. They were high. In the beginning they were responsive. They were actually punctual. I would not recommend them either. They seem rushed when they were doing it. Our house is cedar siding, so it was stained. They did not follow through on their end.

    D & K Painting, Inc.
I am extremely satisfied and highly recommend D&K. Dan the owner responded immediately to my request for an estimate. We scheduled a date and he kept to the times we agreed on. After power washing, we found areas on the siding and trim that needed replacement or repair. Dan gave me a reasonable estimate and his crew did a great job on the spots that needed fixing. The painting was done by Dan himself and a team of courteous, attention to detail professionals and I couldn't be happier.

    Tapia's Co
I used various communication methods (Angie's List messaging, co. email, voicemail, and mobile phone texts) to schedule the work.  Tapia's Co. never responded.  My only recourse was to contact Angie's List directly.  Unfortunately, I was beyond the 30 day money back guarantee period.  However, Angie's List provided me with a couple of alternatives.  They could to work with Tapia's Co. on my behalf to schedule the work or I could purchase a similar deal and Angie's List would credit my acct. the amount I purchased for Tapia's Co.  I chose to go with a different service provider.

CertaPro Painters of Fox Valley North
I solicited 7 quotes for the work. CertaPro was very competitive especially with their incentive coupons. Kevin, the principle contact was very personable and thorough in providing the quote. He asked several questions and spent a considerable amount of time looking at the house. I received a voicemail from them asking if I wanted to pursue. I responded with an email to them and never received a response. I finally had to call and Kevin's wife would not meet with me to sign the contract at her home office, as she stated that it would be "inappropriate" and that she would have to call Kevin to schedule an appointment at my home to do that. We did that. So, I guess deal with Kevin even though his wife owns the business, but she seems to want to stay at arms length from the operation. In preparing the house, several areas needed to be scraped down to bare wood. The painters applied a primer but after the final coat was put on you could see where the bare spots had been. It didn't look good at all. I complained and talked with Kevin via phone and he arranged for the painters to come back and apply a "thicker" paint to the parts of the house that needed it, however, that cost me another $500. A 15% increase over the original estimate. I'm not sure, had I not complained, if they would have left the house looking as bad as it did. Bottom line, the house looks very good now and I hope it lasts. I would recommend them but please make sure that you have Kevin come out and inspect before letting the painters go.

    Flores Decorating LLC
Frank showed up on time, completed a quote to my when promised. Matched my paint without dictating I had to use a specific brand. Everything went very smooth, I am exceedingly happy with the results and have asked for another quote for another project already!
